Café Café Amsterdam

Very disappointing and unacceptable experience at Café Café Amsterdam. The food quality was very poor, low-quality ingredients and no flavor. The “special butter with sourdough” described on the menu turned out to be stale bread with packaged butter, nothing like advertised. Hygiene was also a serious issue. One of our wine glasses still had old lipstick from a previous customer. Even worse, during dinner we saw three mice running under the tables. The manager apologized, but no real action was taken. The service was inattentive and we felt abandoned most of the evening. After we complained, they only discounted the drinks. Overall, a very low-quality and disturbing experience. I will not return and cannot recommend this place.

Lovely terrace to enjoy on a sunny day! The food selection was great and everything tasted delicious. They also offer an extensive wine list to choose from, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Staff were really helpful when I let them know the cocktails weren’t showing up on the website to be able to order. I ordered directly with the waiter in the end. It did take a while for the cocktails to get to us but they were nice! Really lovely place to sit and have a drink.

We liked it very much, especially that Jacopo was one of the rare prepared people in wines that Amsterdam has to offer! Usually whereas in other restaurants when asking you would get a blank or lost face, here we got a full rounded story and description of each - very important for such restaurant, Cheers! We’ll be back!

Lovely place, nice location, nice staff. The food could be better tbh- The bloemkool was incredible but the salad was drenched in dressing, the tomatoes were too few while the sauce paired with it was too generous. The hamachi was a bit too salty. The drink was good! Honestly, more variety in food with more carefully proportioned seasoning would make this place 10x better! Still, would recommend it! Nice spot, with nice views. one request- please avoid smokers in the outdoor dining area? the smoke smell makes the experience far less enjoyable for some (like me!)

We had a wonderful time and the food and drinks were delicious! Staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Highly recommended, we’ll for sure be back!

What an amazing place! The service was fantastic, with a fun and diverse team on the floor. The food was outstanding: the steak tartare is something I’ll definitely come back for, and our lamb mains were cooked to perfection. And the dessert… wow, that Dame Blanche was next level! The atmosphere and music were spot on. 10/10 highly recommended.

Sarah offered friendly, great service , including suggestions for what to see in the area. We’d come back just because she was so nice, but the food was great! The ravioli was sooo good! And we loved the burratini with grilled vegetables was also delicious.
