It's a very beautiful bar with a fun atmosphere. It's a lovely place to be. But their bartender makes tasteless cocktails. My husband's cocktail was a signature one and resembled a Vinamilk drinkable yogurt on the rocks; it wasn't well-thought-out and didn't feel like a cocktail. And my Negroni, which I've always ordered everywhere for the past 20 years, was incredibly poorly made and had no balance between the bitterness and the tartness of the alcohol. This is the kind of cocktail that someone might make for the first time using a step-by-step recipe from the internet, and it's incredibly disappointing.

The cocktails are creative and well-balanced — especially the signature “Ủ Blossom”, which tastes like summer in a glass. The staff are warm and genuine, and the playlist perfectly matches the chill atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves craft cocktails and intimate vibes.

Every drink is a whole Vietnamese story. Asian soul and culture is so rich throughout their menu. Love the place, love the vibe. The bartenders explained everything with passion. A 10/10 cocktail bar if you want to explore Vietnam.

I’ve explored their entire cocktail journey through every menu change, and now the bartenders create something unique for me each visit, a drink shaped around my mood. The familiar greeting, “Ủ nghe anh Tony ơi,” whenever I reserve a table, adds a warm and memorable touch. A beautifully curated bar I genuinely recommend.

Ủ bar offers a distinctive drinking experience that immerses guests in elements of traditional Vietnamese culture. What I love most is the innovation behind the menu - many of the drinks are made with ingredients that have been “ủ”, a Vietnamese term that refers to fermenting or infusing ingredients over time to deepen their flavor and complexity. I decided to challenge myself with one of the boldest drinks on the menu, inspired by bánh tráng trộn, a beloved street snack from Southern Vietnam. It featured a dried shrimp liqueur, and the flavor was spicy, tangy, and unexpectedly delightful. Overall, it is a creative and daring concoction that truly teases the palate. However, I heard that many people ended up returning this drink because of its intense flavor - so think twice before ordering it. If you're not feeling adventurous, don’t worry, there are milder options available too. 🌻 Good: - Attentive staff - Very interesting concept that highlights traditional Vietnamese culture - Bold and daring concoctions 🥀 Can improve: The ambiance echoes the concept of ủ, with a sense of patience and layered depth, though I found it lacked some of the traditional Vietnamese atmosphere I had hoped for.

I absolutely love everything about this place the food, the drinks, the vibe, the spirit and especially the unique and thoughtful menu. The dishes pair so well with the drinks, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me when I mentioned I couldn't have raw prawn. They checked with the kitchen twice to ask if it can be cooked for me, which I really appreciated. And Ủ wow, it smelled amazing, I couldn’t get enough of it! Had a great time at U Bar in Ho Chi Minh City! The service was excellent—friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise for such a stylish spot. What really stood out were the cocktails—each one was unique and crafted with great attention to detail. You can tell a lot of thought goes into their drink menu. The atmosphere was also perfect—relaxed yet trendy, making it a great place to unwind with friends. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for a cool bar with great vibes and creative drinks!
