I came to this place during the weekend, and there is a bunch to do.
Firstly, there is the zip-line that spans a large area over the port; it's a very fun and fast-paced ride, but it takes a while to get on. It took almost an hour to get on, and that's excluding the time it took to do the paperwork.
Then there is the waterside market that offers snacks and souvenirs.
Furthermore, there is the rides area, with rides such as the massive Ferris wheel, bumper cars, and swinging ship.
Last but not least, there are the rental pedal boats that you can ride along the port.
Overall, I'd say this is a great place to bring family and friends on a weekend or whenever bored for the variety of activities and great location that is very close to the spectacular churches of Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal and Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel that you could visit on foot after visiting Vieux-Port De Montréal.
