"The antipasti and tagliolini al granseola (pasta with spider crab) at Bepi Antico are delicious." - Katie Parla

This restaurant delivers a sensational and authentic taste of Venice. The waiters were all lovely and engaging, offering service with a bit of fun and cheekiness. The cuisine was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend starting with the superb octopus and the fresh scampi and artichoke appetizers. The clam pasta was also a standout! This was hands down my favorite dining experience while visiting Venice.

The photos speak for themselves. It was an absolute joy to dine here four times — the best representation of Venetian food we've had. The off-menu seafood gnocchi is a must-try! We're really particular when it comes to Italian cuisine, but this experience was truly a gem. Pure bliss. The sardines were piccolo, but niceee (an inside joke with the owner). Ciao, till we meet again!❤️

Bepi Antico 54 da Loris delivered one of the most memorable meals we had in Venice. The spaghetti alle vongole was a perfect balance of freshness and depth—tender clams, fragrant garlic, and just the right touch of heat and parsley. The tagliatelle alla granseola was equally outstanding, with sweet, delicate crab meat folded into silky, house-made pasta. Every bite reflected the freshness of the ingredients and the chef’s refined touch. A true gem where tradition meets perfectly balanced flavor—absolutely worth seeking out.

Wonderful restaurant! We had several dishes including the artichoke and lobster, potato ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese and a shrimp dish. All were very good. We sat inside towards the back. It was quiet and a perfect setting. There was outdoor seating but a wedding was going on next door so kind of noisy with kids out front. There was just two of us and a great place for lunch. We arrived at this restaurant promptly as it opened after reading really good reviews about it. We ordered their spaghetti ale vongole which we were craving, however it was unfortunately disappointing. Out of the clam shells provided, there were only 6 clams, much less than received at other restaurants. Furthermore, the pasta lacks depth and flavour. We also ordered the fried mixed seafood as a main, which although tasted nice, could not be justified by its price point as this was similar to the fried calamari appetisers back in Australia. Based off the reviews, we had expected food of better quality and portions, but perhaps we just ordered the wrong things.

Now, it makes sense why they force gratuity. Arrived at 7:40. We were seated quickly with no menus, no offer for drinks or water. We waited 15 mins, then my wife had to get up and go around to the front and ask for menus. 15 minutes after that, a woman came (who we never saw again), and we ordered water and fried calamari. 10 minutes later, she took our order. By 8:30, no bread was offered, and no one came by to check on us. Finally, at 8:45, our meals showed up. We had to ask for bread. The bread was sliced and stale, we could hardly bite it. I got the spaghetti with clam sauce with the smallest clams I had ever seen. The spaghetti was undercooked. 30 minutes go by, and after having to remove the pinky nail sized clam meat from the clam, I realized, "we never got the fried calamari." I then taped my wine glass and said loudly, "I have an announcement to make! I want to get the he'll out of here!". Then we waited and waited and waited. Finally, a guy came by and offered coffee or dessert. I laughed and said, "No, we'll take the check. Also, like i said before. we never saw the original woman again...

What an amazing place! The food was delicious, the service very friendly and the atmosphere very special. The recommended wine was great. The prices are very fair too. There’s a lot of locals here. We had a reservation from a few weeks before, and I think it’s best to try to have one. Dinner here was the perfect final chord for our magical day in Venice. Thank you! I cannot recommend this place enough!

It’s been burning hot, and the only outside table’s been in the sun. When I asked for a table for one, I’ve been offered to eat inside which was a lot nicer and more beatable than melting like a piece of butter :) the host arranged a table by the bar for me, and I loved the tiny shrimp with salicornia and the spaghetti vongole that came with tons off clams! It’s a very nice traditional eatery loved by locals, too!
