Another favorite spot - great for ma la xiang guo (basically a choose your own adventure spicy stir fry pot). Runs a bit salty but always tasty.

Google
Absolutely loved this place. Started with the chili wontons which were excellent, and then got the Sichuan dry pot which was incredible. Very generous portions for price, and the sauce was so damn good. Staff was super friendly, and the food came out quick! Easy five stars.

Google
Great experience - 10/10. Super friendly staff and delicious food. We got the Mongolian beef, the little hot pot, and the scallion pancake. Would definitely come back again and get the same meal!

Google
The food here was delicious! I totally recommend the chili beef stew (not pictured because we ate it so quickly). The service was really fast, and if you’re craving something late at night, I definitely recommend this place.

Google
Very delicious!!!! Especially the House noodles and the Szechuan beef. 10/10 bring the whole family. You won’t regret it.

Google
We came here late and hungry after a concert and were super pleased with both the service and the quality and flavor of the food. We ordered Ma Po Tofu which was perfectly spiced and left a tingle on the tongue. The General Tso's chicken was divine. The dry string beans were my favorite and were so flavorful. Alvin the server couldn't have been nicer. He was hustling all night.

Google
One of my favorite spots for Sichuan food. I come here several times a month when I’m craving mala dry pot. Their super dry pot is my favorite and the portions are big enough for two. Their boiled fish is also really tasty. Perfect numbing spice flavor. Service is fast and friendly. Another plus - this place is open late until 1AM!

Google
This place is amazing. The boiled fish is really good. Highly recommended the spicy crispy bones and spicy chicken Wings is not that authentic, but still really good

Google
My regular spot! The food is delicious and the spice is authentic. The owner provides excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Way overdue. I remember the first time I came here vividly. A few years back, I recall thinking to myself, "Wow, this place is good... didn't know my neighborhood had a good Sichuan spot." During that visit I recall so many good things about it like the mala pigs ears, spicy chicken gristle, spicy n pickled fish broth, and few others I still frequently enjoy. However, there was the beef noodle soup that didn't strike a chord with us. The soup was somehow overly sweet. Balance was absolutely off and more like a dessert soup at that point. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, I was taken by surprise. I brought it up to one of the staff members (most likely owner) and without a question, they said we can bring you another one or we can just take it off for you. They handle it quickly and kindly. Blew my mind only because you don't expect that from a Chinese operated restaurant. Few years later, an order tonight which I thought I'd get dark meat for the spicy chicken but it came with white meat. (If you're Chinese, you'll know we'd never make that with white meat.) I called in just to check if it's was the norm there since I've never ordered it there even I frequent there. I just wanted to make sure that if it was indeed their norm that I wouldn't order it next time. Instead, they confirmed it was suppose to be dark meat. Immediately, they said they'll refund me on my to-go order. I declined the refund since it was perfectly made and nothing wrong other than not exactly what I expected. They insisted and still refunded me. In Chinese, he said, "We're running a business here. If it was a mistake, it has to be refunded. We want you to be a long time customer." Since day one until now, stellar business operating culture. Well deserved success to the business and others get to enjoy their dishes and service. Neighborhood gem.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber Eats for pickup, and the guy kept on ignoring my order. I waited over 20 minutes for food, and asked a waiter when it was coming out. Was rude and said your food order got in when everyone else ordered. Then I asked for a time frame on when it will be done. No answer and I said forget it and walked away. Btw, the order was: 2 sides of minced pork with rice. Green Beans and Eggplant dish. 1 mango milk slush and 1 brown boba drink. This order could have been fulfilled in 10 minutes. Instead they chose to delay it futher and further, but allowed other people who came in, ordered and recieved their order after I came in. I also need yo mention that they ignored me for the entire time, no apologies, just rude overall. I will never get food from them again.

Yelp
Stopped by Mr. Szechuan and ordered the dry pot -- loaded with beef, cabbage, lotus root, rice cakes, and a mix of veggies all tossed in that classic numbing-spicy sauce. The flavors were bold, though leaning on the salty side for me. That said, the value is fantastic -- you get a huge portion, easily sharable with friends, and plenty of variety in the mix. The beef was tender, the rice cakes gave it a nice chewy texture, and the cabbage soaked up all that chili oil and spice. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're craving hearty, spicy Szechuan comfort food. Just bring an appetite (or a friend). 4/5

Yelp
Exceeded expectations for late night snacks at 19th and Taraval. Open till 1 AM on a Saturday night so we stopped in (after seeing a musical at the Orpheum theater) on the way home. Enjoyed the broth on the beef noodle soup and the green onion pancakes the most of the items we ordered, but everything else was pretty solid.

Yelp
I've been curious about this place for a while, having walked past it many times. I needed to find a late night spot for dinner and the menu had a good number of options. We ordered two Beef Skewers, Laksa Noodle Soup, and Black Bean Noodles. The skewers had a decent seasoning that's not spicy, just mostly salty. However, the meat quality was terrible. The pieces were small, dry, and had a texture almost like tough beef jerky. I had high hopes for the Laksa Noodle Soup, but unfortunately, it was incredibly bland. The only flavor that came through was a faint hint of coconut. There wasn't even a salt shaker on the table to try to make it more appetizing. As for the Black Bean Noodles, once mixed, it was clear that the noodles weren't even properly coated in the sauce. They gave so little of it and the sauce itself was bland too. I'm honestly not sure how this place has 4 stars..

Yelp
mala dry pot hit the spot too spicy it was not the portion size was a lot im so glad we got eat it while it's hot

Yelp
Everything that we ordered at Mr. Szechuan was delicious. Definitely a good spot for small group outings. And in the off-chance that you're hungry for a late lunch or early dinner when most restaurants open (or re-open) at 5pm, Mr. Szechuan opens at 4pm on weekdays! price: ~$30/person recs: dry pot, green onion pancake, brown sugar boba - Dry Pot: Huge, cooked to perfection, and perfectly mala. Highly recommend getting the lamb, which was super tender! - Tan Tan Noodles: Generous portion, would have liked a little bit more ground meat, but otherwise really solid - Salt and Pepper Chicken Cartilage: Haven't seen this at other restaurants! Super crispy and piping hot. The breading that Mr. Szechuan uses is noticeable sweet and starchy. - Green Onion Pancake: This is the first time that I've had a green onion pancake that tasted almost deep-fried, but it was super good and not oily! - Brown Sugar Boba: Pearls were bouncy and the drink was not too sweet. Cuts the spiciness of the szechuan food really well. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
My new favorite dry pot place!! I've been searching forever for a good mala dry pot place and randomly stumbled upon here and it was great. The flavors and spice level were good and portion size for the price was also reasonable, plus it comes with rice or a noodle as well. My only suggestion or wish is that they had the option to add more veggies, they limit you to 2 meat, 4 veggies but we would have easily wanted to add a lot of veggies to share a bigger dry pot for 2. Reason the photo is of a takeout box is because we accidentally ordered it as takeout even though we were dining in, and the staff were really nice and apologetic and even gave us a free side of scallion pancakes!

Yelp
We came to this place all the time as a substitute for another szechuan place that closed. It scratched the itch until recently; they must've had a change in management or something because they changed the menu a lot and now it's not as good. Such a shame!

Andie P.

Yelp
Food and service was awesome. There is a nice vibe inside, quiet and cozy. Really enjoyed the tea I was given when I sat down.

Yelp
This was for **delivery only**_ The spice level was spot on and the Mapo Tofu was savory though light on pork. The other two entrees, the Steamed Chicken in Chili Sauce ($13.95) and Szechuan Beef ($18.95) were very salty and the beef tasted like it was sliced from end pieces; it could've been more tender. Everything was packaged with care and Saran wrapped around the containers so sauce wouldn't spill. It was good, could be better.

Yelp
Our dish was okay with generous amount of fish, but the "Szechuan" part was just a pail full of sliced dried peppers dumped on top which added only heat, no flavor, seemed old. The vegetables and the mushroom were good, but it was an uninspiring entree. The music was awful; terrible Chinese or Korean boyband R&B/rap sludge. No ambiance. And I'm sorry, I know it's 2025 but this scan-the-menu stuff is such an annoying imposition: should tips be lower if we take the order? It's hard to visually scan the variety of dishes, and their order of categories is all over the place: e.g., rice and dumplings in same group? I'll raise it a star for the nice woman who handles the bill, but this has more a cafeteria vibe than a place to dine. Just not my style. I'm sure lots of younger folk won't mind.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely AMAZING!! The appetizers green onion pancake, sesame red bean balls, and chicken cartilage was well portioned and flavorful. The service here is quick and they seem to anticipate your order which is different, in a good way. The space is quiet and could possibly get pretty loud is there are a mixture groups. With the crowd we had... unfortunately we were the loudest. Sorry! In the mix of this long story, the place is amazing. The food is flavorful and quick to eat.

Yelp
we came around 9pm, only two other parties but it's nice this restaurant closes at 1am. the food was decently fast as well. we ordered pretty fast and the server was nice and efficient. we ordered this many dishes with 8 people and it was decent, but not many people liked the beef noodle soup so we could have done without it. dry pot (5/5): szechuan spicy, sliced lamb, slice beef, sliced fish, sliced fish ball with roe, lotus root, king oyster mushroom, minced pork rice. for two people this was my favorite dish of the night, cooked well, nice and decent spice minced pork rice x3: would definitely recommend getting a couple (the dry pot came with one) but we did half and half so my party of 7 everyone could get some regular and some pork rice rice x3: just regular plain rice spicy chicken (3.5/5): not that spicy, definitely smaller portion than when i've ordered at different sichuan restaurants no stir fried pea shoots with garlic so we get green beans (4/5): solid nothing stand out braised beef noodle soup (4/5): everyone in my party did not like this, said it was too beefy (not sure that that means) but no one ended up eating it except me but i thought it was fine. i liked the noodle type but the beef seemed kinda dry despite it being inside the soup dish boiled fish (4/5): nice and soft, solid dish, not that spicy

Yelp
The dry pot was amazing, big portions where you can choose 4 veggie and 3 meats. The best part was also the chili wontons, had a deep peanut flavour that worked well to cut the spice. Fast service and plenty of tables inside and good for big groups, can't wait to try their non spicy dry pot next time!

Yelp
Went with my friends after a friendly tennis tournament so we were starving, we tried the super dry pot, eggplant, and string beans, scallion noodles, mango shake, and a few other dishes that my friends got. Everything was delicious, I especially enjoyed the super dry pot which we got with lamb and beef. Service was attentive and we were served pretty quickly. The restaurant itself has a good amount of seating but parking may be a bit tricky in the area, that's why we decided to carpool from the courts nearby.

Yelp
I think I ordered the wrong thing at this place cause it's not what they're known for but I was craving something hot juicy and bite sized so I got soup dumpling and sheng jian bao. There was not a single drop of soup in either of the dumplings unfortunately. Im guessing all of the xiao long bao dumpling skin had gotten punctured somehow and all the soup had drained out (assuming there was soup to begin with). A very dry meal indeed and they didn't have ginger for the dipping sauce either. I did eat it all ... but suddenly trader joe's frozen soup dumplings seem so gourmet
google avatar

Yelp
They NO longer have Singapore street noodles, which is the only reason I went. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and barely was able to eat half. The Dan Dan noodles have very little flavor!

Yelp
Now this place is highly recommended. The quality of the food is just out of this world. It was so good that we kept coming back three nights in a row after the Grateful Dead 60 shows. The general tso chicken is a definite recommendation! The chicken is so fresh and white after each bite. Mouth watering. Vegetarian spring rolls delicious and the crab wontons too. The service is a little wait as there's not a whole lot of staff but the food once served is the highway to heaven. You'll feel like you're standing on the moon after eating here. Recommend!

Yelp
We came here for a late night bite after coming out of the System of a Down concert. We got the dry pot with Szechuan spicy base. For $27, you get the choice of 2 proteins and 4 vegetables. This was a decent amount of food for 2 people and a fair price for SF. In terms of spice level, I'd say this is a 6-7 on a scale of 10. I used to eat a decent amount of Mala dry pots back in NYC. I think the quality here is comparable and brings me back to those Flushing food court days. We beat the post-concert rush by mere few minutes. Tons of concert goers dropped in after we ordered. I applaud the worker for keeping his composure and running a one-man show holding down the fort. In addition to tending to a restaurant full of guests, a stream of takeout orders kept coming in through their computer (reminiscent of The Bear S1E7). That was 11:30pm. I hope the man made it through the night.

Yelp
It has been forever since I have had great and memorable Chinese food. Well folks, Mr Szechuan is it. The ordering experience is not your traditional experience (maybe it is normal in SF). This place is pretty hands off but hands on when needed (paying, water refills, food delivery). You scan the QR code and instead of ordering with anyone, you order from the QR code. I liked when I hit confirm, I could hear my food order being printed in the kitchen and then, poof, the food is delivered to your table minutes later. All the food was fantastic (see images of what we ordered) and I can't recommend this place enough. Service, when needed, was excellent. Go check for yourself, I have a feeling you will fall in food love.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a while with my girlfriend and we've always had a great experience. The staff are so friendly and the food is always really good. They noticed we weren't eating our entree and offered to replace it with one of their suggestions. They hit it out of the park with the mushroom chicken and I would recommend coming here, especially with friends.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday night as we wanted Chinese food after Stern Grove. We were seated immediately and there is a QR code to order. The servers were nice in explaining the promotion and gave us a free scallion pancake for leaving a Google review. We ended up ordering the Mala Dry Pot and the flavor was very good and robust. The dry pot itself came with rice as well and was enough to serve 2 people. The spice level definitely had a kick because of the mala peppers but isn't too spicy for anyone who enjoys spice!
google avatar

Wayne K.

Yelp
Online ordering system here. Service is line counter style. Inside is simple but nice. We got the mapo tofu 3.5 (sauce too thick) And the Spicy chicken 3.5 (too salty cant eat on its own) Will be back for the other dishes
google avatar

Yelp
If you take a look at my UberEats history, you will probably see Mr. Szechuan overly represented because of how often I order from here! This place is my go-to lazy dinner order. Their dry pot is consistently good and is large enough to split between two. It's extremely customizable so you can put together a meal that fits what you're craving each time. They also have a larger "super" size which comes with an additional protein but we usually stick with the regular size as it's already a lot of food.
google avatar

Rhea A.

Yelp
Totally would keep this spot a secret because of how delicious and affordable it is, but let me share! While parking is tough and Mr Szechuan is out deep in the sunset district, their Dry Pot dish will make it all worth. ~$27 for a whole dry pot that feeds 2?! I was shook! You pick 2 meats and 4 veggies for the dry pot. We went with the szechuan spicy and the boyf was SWEATING. It's so good!! This is literally my new go to dry pot spot and would even prefer it over hotpot. (Unless I'm sick/hungover) Hours are open super late so I bet this place would be delicious for your late night shenanigan meals. Service was so slow when I went, even when they weren't busy at all. I wasn't greeted upon arrival, in fact I walked in, stood at door waiting to be seated but no one acknowledged me. I literally sat myself at whatever table. On the brighter side, at least there are plenty of seats inside. Food makes it worth!

Yelp
Disappointing!! We were browsing Yelp for recommendations on Christmas when we came across this place. Food looked good so we decided to place an order. I called in at 5:40pm to order to-go for pick up at 7pm. We had a semi-big order so I asked the lady on the phone to confirmed what she had written down to make sure our order was accurate. She confirmed that it was and said that they were very busy so she would call me back in 20 mins. After I agreed to the callback, before I could ask if she needed my name or number, she hung up on me. I waited around 30 mins with no phone call before I called them back to check on the order. They didn't pick up. I called multiple times to no avail. Hoping for the better, we decided to go to the restaurant in case our order was ready for pick up all while calling them some more. When we got there, there were only 4 tables that were seated. We asked the server about our food and he mentioned that it would need some more time, around 15 mins. Another guy then came out and asked us to pay out at register first while we wait. We complied and walked over to the register only for him to tell us that he didn't see our order. He proceed to make excuses about the system not working and giving us attitude. In the end, we waited over 1.5hrs just to receive no food but much attitude from the guy who tried to get us to pay for nothing.

Yelp
Stumbled upon on this place when we got hungry on the way back to the city from SFO. I wouldn't say it's close to soma or SFO but it's worth that detour. The flavors are really on point and their red chillies give every dish a really smoky hot flavor. We got a bunch of dishes for two people and had left over for another meal. Their dry hotpot mixed with green beans was very flavorful and goes well with rice so that dish by itself is good enough for two people. We still got the fried chicken and cucumber salad and liked them both. I'd def go here if I was in the sunset district. The service is extremely fast and I was easily able to find free street parking.

Yelp
I've been a huge hot pot fan since I can remember but this is my first time trying dry hot pot! My boyfriend and I opted for the Super Dry Hot Pot which allows you to select 3 meat options + 4 vegetables. Everything in the pot was delicious! We recommend selecting wide bean noodles as an option for the dry pot so that it soaks up the dry pot flavor. The Szechuan flavor was perfectly spiced. The sliced lamb and angus beef were tasty. We also added popcorn chicken for a nice crunch to the dish. The Chili Beef Stew Noodle Soup was flavorful. The beef was soft and melts in your mouth. There's pepper corn in the soup, but it wasn't too overpowering. My only small complaint would be that the soup was a tad bit oily but it's probably from the beef slices. We also tried their scallion pancake. It's thicker than most places because they use two layers with egg. Our server was super attentive, friendly, and quick. Restaurant was very cozy and clean. Seems like they had lots of delivery orders during dinner time because dashers were coming in and out every other minute. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! FYI -- there's free iced green tea if you check-in on Yelp
google avatar

Yelp
Based only on the reviews I came here. Got the fried rice, chow mein, chile fried chicken and szechuan beef. Beef was ok but the rest not too good. I cannot find a decent chinese in SF anymore. I would not go back.
google avatar

Janus C.

Yelp
Online ordering system. We sat down late night and it was pretty decent. Got the xiao long bao, the pan fried buns, the stir fried pea shoots in garlic, and the mapo tofu. Mapo tofu was a bit lacking in depth of flavor - just felt a bit oily. But overall satisfying. Pan fried baos were my fave, but definitely not the best I've had.
google avatar

Personality S.

Yelp
Used to really like this place, still like the flavorful dry pot. However, the food seems to have gotten even saltier since my last review. Tofu ordered today for the bento tasted like it was soaked in salt. May be re-evaluating going back.

Yelp
Food is good! Got it to go but have eaten there before and it's delish! The owner or service guy isn't overly friendly and hardly smiles but the food is worth it.
google avatar

Anvita S.

Yelp
Dry pot is on point! Plus the delicious spicy beef noodle soup, garlicky pea shoots and dumplings.
google avatar

Christine V.

Yelp
highly recommend the super dry pot--absolutely delicious and so many fun ingredients to pick at; it's seasoned well & a flavor bomb. pea sprouts w/ garlic are also a 10/10. service can be slow--when i was there, it was just one guy handling all the tables and to-go orders/doordash orders, and maybe one person back in the kitchen. practice patience and you will be rewarded with deliciousness.

Yelp
This is a great place to go with a large group and order several dishes to share family style. All the food came out pretty fast, and everything we ordered was delicious, especially the chili fried chicken and fish fillets in hot chili oil. They have a pretty efficient system at this restaurant. Like many places, you scan a QR code to view the menu and order. However, instead of paying online, they still bring you a physical check and have you pay in person. I was impressed by this place and recommend it to anyone wanting good, authentic Sichuan food.

Yelp
So I finally made it back to Bay area for the day. Originally we planned to get Happy Family Gourmet down the street but they were closed . Try to go to Dumpling Specialist but denied as it was too crowded. So we found this spot instead. When we came the restaurant was not too busy so we sat right away. You scan the QR code and place your order on your phone. My friend ordered everything so I have no clue the names But there was a lamb dish that had tooth pick skewers. It was pretty good, it looked like it may be too spicy but it was actually fine . We got a dry pot with pork and beef, pretty solid flavor as well. I enjoy the noodle that's included. It did came with a smol rice but we ordered another rice bowl. The eggplant was the star of the show though, really good flavors. Food came out extremely fast like she pressed the order button and I didn't even know what she ordered yet and the food came out. That's pretty crazy We didn't get much service but it was fine. Sometimes you just want to eat and not talk to the server
google avatar

Marcus-Alex G.

Yelp
Mr Szechuan is a great go to spot for weekly dinners, price is pretty affordable especially given the portions. Their dry pots are a must, I think in general, it kind of doesn't matter what options you pick, everything is smothered in sauce so the flavor is roughly the same, but I tend to choose different texture of items since I felt that had a bigger impact on the dish overall. I've eaten here maybe 8-10 times, and only once had a dish come out 'off' and I barely mentioned it to the staff, and they quickly replaced the dish with a new one. Extremely considerate and responsive. The food is really palatable, and nothing is too spicy or overwhelmingly numbing (Mala).

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite Szechuan restaurants in SF. My favorite dish here is the Super Dry Pot. You choose 3 meats and 4 veggies/ noodles. They stir fry it for you in a spicy Szechuan spices and sauces. It comes with this minced pork rice which is great. I've tried many other dishes which are also great. The boiled fish with sichuan pickles is a nice heartwarming soup. The twice cooked pork here is also a favorite of mine. String beans and eggplant is also good but a small portion IMO. The service is ok. You order yourself through at QR code now at the table. The workers aren't super friendly but they will get you what you want/need.

Yelp
Slow service with very dismissive staff. Waited 45 minutes for ONE bento box that I ordered for take out. The place only had 2-3 seated parties (the store was mostly empty) but I had to wait 45 minutes for my order and that was only after I started voicing my frustrations on the wait. The staff was trying to make me feel bad about being frustrated with the wait instead of admitting it's poor management to not even get a bento box done in under 45 minutes. On top of that, the brown rice was soggy. Any Asian restaurant that can't do brown rice well is definitely not worth a 45 min wait.

Johnson H.

Yelp
Came here wanting some late night food. Ordered a super hot pot and boy was it disappointing. The broth tasted like watered down soy sauce mixed with a lot of sugar. Photos were misleading as well. Meat quality and veggies tasted old and inedible for the price they're charging. Service was non existent. Felt like we were sitting down at a self serve restaurant. What made it worst was the amount of mosquitos they had in the restaurant. Couldn't have a meal without being bit 20 times. Will not be coming back.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat since it was late and stumbled upon this spot. It operates from 4pm to 1am daily, love the hours! Service was quick probably because they have an ordering system on the app so it's easy to view and order. We loved the fried rice, that was the winner of the night. We did try the pop corn chicken, szechuan beef, and chicken noodle stir fry. The pop corn chicken is a miss. Everything else was good.
google avatar

Yash T.

Yelp
TLDR: Good food, wonderful ambience service can be better A great place for some amazing spicy schezwan cuisine! Loved every dish we ordered. Only issue was that one of our vegan friends mistakenly ate pork dumplings and this was after we confirmed with our server that the particular one was a veggie dumpling. Overall good experience but do be careful if you have dietary preferences. Loved the fresh watermelon juice!

Yelp
Overpriced for what you're getting which is falsely advertised. Ordered the braised chicken WINGS and only got two flats. When ordering on their app/platform, the photo shows two full wings. :( Also the scallion pancakes only has 4 small pieces while the photo on their menu has a much larger serving (8 pieces). Overall the food is OK but the principle of false advertising is just unacceptable, especially when you're paying a higher than average price and getting less than what you'd expect.

Yelp
I was craving Chinese due to the gloomy weather outside and Mr. Szechuan bento box was just what I was needed. If you love Panda Express you will love this because this is the real stuff. Not the most gourmet I've had, or gourmet at all but definitely several levels above the usual. The bento box came full to the brim and lasted me two meals. I got the eggplant garlic (must try), honey walnut shrimp (wish they gave more than 3 pieces :( ), general Tso's (crispy fried flavorful chicken) and kung pao chicken (a classic). The noodles were great. Everything came packaged so neatly and even included condiments. My only nit pick was that that for the fried items like the honey walnut shrimp and general tso's chicken, some of it tasted batter-y as if it wasn't well fried.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with the food I ordered. The lo-mein noodles were soggy, greasy and lacked flavor. Tasted like old left over food. Very sad as I really miss good chinese food and although there are hundreds os asian spots here there does not seem to be any good traditional chinese joints.

Yelp
What a disappointment!!! Food- we ordered house noodles -OMG..it was swimming with oil - disgusting . Literally , half a cup of oil we drained out. The salt and pepper fish was hard as a rock, sesame chicken was so so . House fried rice was average . Also, after I indicated on order and called them personally that we are severely allergic to nuts, they put nuts on the side !!! WTF!!! No concept of food allergies and how it affects ppl. Service- when we arrived, food was not even ready and waited for 10minutes even after it was confirmed online that our food was ready . I love supporting neighborhood business . I've been in the area for over 25yrs. But, this just not way to gain local support. I don't get how they got all this rave reviews. I came here bc of the reviews but what a mistake ! Hope they correct and improve their food and service .

Yelp
Service and everything else was great, but if I could rate the food, I would give it a zero out of five. Ordered Szechuan chicken and it seemed like I was getting bar food. Looks like some little popcorn, chicken pieces that were fresh out the freezer. Nothing close to Szechuan chicken We also ordered fried rice, which was the only thing we ate. The wontons were pretty bad as well. Too many anistars in that mix. Bento box was a nightmare. We didn't touch any more of the meat as it all was smelling old. Broke two pieces of the chicken in front of the server and it was all breading! Lol felt bad so paid for the whole meal. He was talking about comping us for the dishes left untouched but we didn't have time to wait and we're hungry so paid and left. Worst quality of Chinese Szechuan I ever had. Maybe my standards are high and this is where all the drunk people come eat.

Yelp
East coasters visiting SF and wanted to try some authentic places. We got a bit of everything-general chicken, scallion pancakes, Crab fried rice, crab wontons, pork buns, and hot&sour soup. It was really delicious and not as heavy on the fried aspect like it usually feels back home. The spice was really great on the chicken and the soup.
