So it's found on a hill. Its not in the main town area. Taxis are available and we used the Bolt app. We found the basic smallest taxi was around £24 into the city, but you'll pay more if you need a bigger taxi with more space. The lounge area was very nice. The breakfast was included and of high quality for a buffet style. Dinner was again, good quality with excellent presentation. We paid for a superior room, which meant we had a view over the city. The room itself was not massive. The hotel gets alot of visitors, both to stay, and to look at the view point out the front. We found this to be very noisy and somewhat intrusive. If you require a quieter room I'd sadly suggest one not at the front with the view, due to the noise. There's a gym and pool at this hotel. This is a good place for families, and very close to the slope, but tranquil, it is not.

Wow wow wow what can I say this hotel is beautiful, modern and clean. The staff are so kind and helpful nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was amazing so much choice could have been hotter but quality of food was spot on. Evening meals were really nice to very calm and quiet which was very nice. Rooms were clean and modern and very cosy. Only down side was the Wi-Fi kept dropping out when in our rooms but that’s nothing to worry about for me but others it might not like that. We really want to come back closer to Christmas next time for a return trip.

Had lovely long weekend stay at this hotel. The room had a stunning view overlooking Oslo and its fjords and was a very pleased with our room. Staff were very polite and helpful and breakfast had plenty of choice and was lovely each morning. ||Would happily stay again

Big, classic hotel overlooking Oslo. Amazing views, fantastic breakfast, expensive bar (but hey, it's Norway), comfortable rooms, lots of facilities. It's right next door to the famous ski jump and the Norwegian ski museum. The photos mainly show the old part at the front, but most of the hotel is in a modern building behind this.

My second visit. Reception can be a bit harsh in tone, but they get the job done. We were out of town, so I only recommend staying here if you have meetings or recreation in the area. The pool was closed during my stay, something I actually looked forward to. All that said, it's a great hotel with good vibes. The bar is nice, the breakfast is very good. For dinner, I had the salad starter... It was enormous. I then had the burger,it was like a hockey puck - get something else 😂.

We had stayed here ten years ago and, for the sake of reminiscing, chose to stay here again during our two-day stay in Oslo. The view from the hotel is as magnificent as ever, overlooking the Oslo Fjord. However, I must emphasize that the room service was terrible. Aside from changing the sheets, there was no sign of cleaning at all. The room was so dusty that I couldn't even touch the curtains; opening or closing them sent dust flying everywhere. There was even trash on the floor. The bathroom was full of hair and only had half a roll of toilet paper. Don't even open the wardrobe; it's enough to make you want to vomit. The room we booked was listed as 30 square meters with a double sink in the bathroom, but the room we received was much smaller, with a single sink, completely different from the description on the website! The sofa bed felt like a gymnastics exercise, high in the middle and low on the sides! We've traveled extensively in Europe, and for a city as clean and tidy as Oslo, Norway, to have such filthy conditions is unacceptable. The breakfast had a wide variety, but nothing was delicious. Furthermore, the hallway carpet was extremely dirty, covered in stains and dust, making it unpleasant to stay even for a short while. We will never stay here again!

Great space and impeccable view. It’s not ideal to travelt to with public transport if you have a lot of luggage - be prepared for a short hike! The breakfast and lunch options were really good but I was disappointed at their vegetarian dinner. I had the same bland risotto two days in a row. There’s so many more interesting vegetarian options so I expect more for a high end hotel like this. Their gym was amazing, probably the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel.

Very cool that it’s at the top of the hill by the ski jump and you overlook the west entrance to Oslo. Hotel is big, rooms are very nice. There is paid covered parking garage connected to hotel with electric car chargers - free parking is available done the street by the ski jump (~5minute walk from hotel)

Yelp
Really a 3.5. I attended a meeting here that took place over a few days where the topic was ironically, luxury adventure travel. The Scandic Homenkollen Park was a decent host with both hits and misses. HITS: The entrance and main lobby to the hotel was beautiful and welcoming. The food served at breakfasts, the included lunches, cocktail party and the farewell dinner were all very very good. The meeting room set up was comfortable and run well. Lots of us commented that the one big culinary surprise was how good the reindeer main dish was at our dinner. I loved the bed in my room with the double separate duvets (I must be in Europe!) - the rest of the room, not so much - see below. Wifi worked well. MISSES: Many of us ended up in very small, dark rooms. Very basic. If there was a room safe, I couldn't find it easily. After I checked in, I had a really hard time finding my room. I asked several housecleaning staff for help, and I was sent down long corridors to no avail. We had lunch one day at the dining area near the main lobby. Service was pretty atrocious and unfriendly. Overall, it served as it was meant to be - a conference hotel.

Yelp
10/10 views from above OSLO probably one of the coolest hotels I've been at. Service, food GYM and overall atmosphere is amazing. If you in Oslo I would definitely recommend stop by for a night I'm telling you won't disappoint. Little spooky Scandinavian vibes.

Yelp
My husband and I needed somewhere quiet, peaceful and beautiful to rest. My sister recommended this place. The room was TINY, the decor of the hotel is very eclectic. Very cozy space and feels very outdoorsy. Restaurant was very tasty and also very pricey. Struggled to get food delivery food options but the desk clerk was very helpful in assisting us. Was a nice cozy spot but may get something with more food options nearby next time.

Yelp
Have a reservation booked here for late April 2021 and was very much looking forward to my stay. However, Scandic has closed the hotel to all guests due to the pandemic. That is understandable. But what is not understandable is that they refuse to issue a refund on the rate. They essentially want to charge me for something that they cannot provide. Multiple appeals have been ignored or met with a flat no. They simply will not provide what I paid them for, which is a simple contracts case. Not to mention, other non refundable rates I had booked at hotels in Norway, Germany and the UK -- where the hotels are open -- were refunded due to the government restrictions that essentially prohibit Americans from entering Europe. But know Scandic Holmenkollen Park and Scandic Hotels wont' do right by its customers and should be avoided.

Yelp
Amazing views all around, beers food a bit pricey but well worth the visit if on a romantic holiday. If into outdoor sports, hiking, biking, or snow sports this is the place for you. Do bring your own snacks the stores around here are few to none.

Yelp
Stay far away from the lobby cafe/bar. Slow service and the worst waffles that I've ever had in Oslo. The view is nice tough.

Yelp
Went for the midday buffet lunch...and, of course, the views and history of place. The food was good...but the five stars come from the setting and scenery. Lovely...certainly worth the time to take the scenic ride out of the city.
