Ratelier is such a gem! I went with three of my girlfriends and we had a great time, it’s a perfect activity for groups or even client entertainment. The private perfume memory workshop was super unique, with a beautiful setup, warm and welcoming staff, and delicious drinks throughout. The space is stunning and thoughtfully designed. We also got a travel perfume as part of the package, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend for a fun and elevated experience!

I booked a perfume making workshop at Ratelier to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and it absolutely exceeded all expectations. The two owners were so warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. They guided us through the perfume-making process with patience and care, encouraging us to experiment with different scents until we each created a fragrance we truly loved. I really appreciated how hands-on and personal the whole experience felt. The workshop space itself is stunning — chic, modern, and beautifully designed, which made the whole experience feel even more elevated and special. This is such a unique activity, perfect for birthdays, date nights, or any special occasion. I can’t recommend Ratelier enough if you’re looking for a fun, one-of-a-kind experience in Toronto. We left with not only a custom perfume, but also wonderful memories!

Fun & comprehensive hands-on workshop to spend quality time as a couple or with your girlfriends! They walk through with you of how to make your own signature scent and for you to explore different combinations uniquely to your memory of your choosing. I had a hard time blending different combinations but they were able to guide thoroughly and being patient with my indecisiveness! Packaging and aesthetic is very beautiful and I still think about the strawberry matcha I had while taking the workshop!!!

Such a hidden gem here! My partner and I joined the perfume-making class, and the instructors were so attentive and detailed in their guidance. There were so many different scents to choose😃 Thanks to them, I was able to create a new fragrance that suits me perfectly! Both the scent and the bottle are so elegant. It’s tucked away just behind the main street and truly a hidden treasure!🤍

I attended the Memory Perfume Workshop after finding it on Eventbrite, and it exceeded all expectations! The experience was both educational and creative and we learned how scent is linked to memory and then got to explore different fragrance notes to make our own custom perfumes. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful every step of the way. I left with a scent that feels personal and meaningful. Highly recommend this for a date night, solo treat, or unique gift idea!

There’s something really special and intoxicating about creating a scent that feels entirely yours — a fragrance that tells your story in notes and layers. 🌸🌿🪾 My time at Ratelier was nothing short of magical. The team was so warm, attentive, and patient, guiding me through every step with such care. It wasn’t just about building a perfume — it felt like crafting a memory, an identity, a whole feeling bottled up in a perfect bouteille. And listen… as much as I’d love to gatekeep this little gem, I honestly can’t — the experience was THAT good. ✨💫 Truly one of the coolest experiences I’ve had in Toronto.

We had an amazing double date at Ratelier! Such a unique experience — we learned about perfumes, went through our favorite memories, and created a fragrance based on them. The whole process was fun, creative, and meaningful. Highly recommend for a date or special outing!

Ratelier’s new downtown Toronto location is absolutely stunning! We were thrilled to discover they’ve expanded their collection with even more unique perfume scents, making the exploration process even more magical. The workshop we attended was unforgettable, and I’m already looking forward to returning for their upcoming sessions! A huge shoutout to all team members whose passion and expertise make this place extraordinary. Their warmth, knowledge, and genuine love for perfumery transform every visit into a personalized journey. Thank you for creating such an inspiring, welcoming space!

Yelp
Ratelier located in a lane way parallel to Queen St. W near Crawford St. is a space for creation. With a curated gallery (upstairs), a space that holds immersive fragrance workshops, and a specialty coffee bar, the concept of the space is to pause, explore, and connect with one's senses with others. The studio is hidden where you won't know where to find it unless you know. I've been seeing this space on Instagram for a month or so now and was excited that their coffee bar was finally open (they were holding fragrance workshops prior to their coffee bar opening!). I stopped by Ratelier on a Saturday morning around 9am (they open at 8am on the weekends and 7:30am on the weekdays). The place already had a few customers sitting upstairs while more customers stopped by as soon as I was placing my order. I decided to grab coffee beans as well from Ethica Coffee Roasters and it took staff quite a while to find the price of the beans (they weren't listed on the bag of beans or shelf). I also ordered a cortado which was made at a reasonable time (it was a long cortado). They also have some pastries for sale as well that are placed neatly in a display case. Heading upstairs there are only about seating for 6-8 people (3 tables), while downstairs there is seating for about 12-15 people. Since they hold fragrance workshops in the space as well there was a small corner on the main floor for all their materials needed for their workshops. The upstairs portion also doubles as a curated art gallery - when I went there were beautiful black and white photographs displayed on the walls. I enjoyed my coffee (which was made well), soaking in the space and aesthetics of the place. The music was relaxing and calm. They have a big screen where they were playing videos about specialty coffee and what it is/why it is different from mass produced coffee. It was nice to learn more about specialty coffee, as transparency in the coffee world is becoming more and more important. During my stay here there were quite a number of customers who came in. The staff were friendly and efficient, not super warm though. Either way my coffee was made well. Overall, a nice relaxing space to grab a coffee and/or view their art gallery. You can also inquire about their fragrance workshops as well which are held at specific times and days. Since seating is limited, it is likely not an ideal space for you to do work at (there is no wifi). It definitely is becoming more and more popular so drop by to experience the space during non-peak times. A worthwhile place to check out if you are in the Trinity Bellwoods area!

Yelp
My friend and I really enjoyed their perfume workshop. You get a quick intro, smell all the scents and pick your top six to test on strips! Shoutout to Victoria for being so helpful - mixing the strips and seeing the scent change instantly was so interesting. Tip: Come with a scent profile in mind. I actually used ChatGPT to narrow mine down. I wanted something coffee-forward and ended up with notes: Base: Coffee, Tobacco, Tonka Bean Middle: Fig Top: Pink Pepper Tobacco surprised me but added depth and tied well together with the coffee scent. Highly recommend if you want a creative night out! I booked their blending session only and decided to get their travel kit at an additional cost. They also have 30 ml and 50 ml bottles too.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place, found it in an alley near Trinity Bellwoods. The interior is a vibe, they were playing some documentary on sourcing coffee beans while the perfume workshop was held on the lower level. The upper level had some cool photographs and the coffee was equally as good as the interior.
