LSD is my favorite running store in LA. Their running shoe selection is unmatched and they have really cool apparel. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re a runner!

This store is a nuisance to the Echo Park neighborhood. It never cared about its community. It’s here to sell an image and make a quick dollar on a trend. $300 running shoes. A bright blue LED sign that’s left on overnight, screaming for attention. Weekly run club that blasts cheap pop music over the block. An owner that always speeds around the neighborhood + blocking the street with his double parked Land Rover… I can go on and on. This store is selling an image to yuppies.

Love this store! Merchandising of functional and lifestyle running/hiking/outerwear is PERFECT. They have so many cute, hard to find Japanese and Nordic brands that you wont find anywhere else in LA. I ended up copping the ROA Boots. 10/10. Would go back and buy way more shhh

Excellent shoe selection and apparel, however a big con would be the fact that you can not return shoes if you wear them even the slightest bit. If they have the shoe that you know you like, it is the perfect store. However if you do not know, I would recommend other running stores that have treadmills for you to try out shoes.

This place rocks. As an avid runner, trail runner, triathlete that ventures between Austun, LA, and Colorado, this is one of the best customer service shops I’ve been too. Knowledgeable, friendly, and equipped with really cool brands (bandit, soar, district vision, acg). Always a stop on my visits to LA.

It’s a great stylish, clean store. I moved to this neighborhood 6 months ago and one of the reasons was all shops at this corner - including LSD running store. Despite celebrity homes in Echo Park the streets are all dirty and messy. This store brings community of healthy people - runners, it has stylish and pretty calm window dressing design that not disturb the mood of the neighborhood but actually improves it. I am not related to any person founded the store or working in this store, in fact I am very slow runner, and I visited the store may be five times. But people that I see there are amazing! They beautiful inside out, smiling, sporty and more! I love this store and I think it’s very good addition for this neighborhood- it’s creating community and vibe!

Jake was an excellent salesman and very kind person. I was nervous to go into a running shope to ask questions but he really was an open book. I hope to see more salespeople like Jake out there!

The best running store in LA! Has all the exclusive shoes, clothing and accessories you’ll need for running. They also have runs out of the store during the week. Friendly staff and I always come here to get the latest and best running gear!

Stopped by the store on a Saturday and waited 15 minutes past 11am for someone to come and open the store. I also messaged their instagram and checked their stories to see if there were any notices to not come by, but nothing was posted. No response on IG either. Really disappointed and really wanted to pick up a pair of race shoes prior to my race later that evening. I was not the only person waiting for the store to open either, so there were a number of us who came by and wasted our time. Hoping to come by again whenever they are actually open to check out the store.

This is the best running store in LA! Has all the best brands and exclusive running gear. Great customer service and they have community runs throughout the week. If you're a runner or looking to get into running this is the store you want to check out!

The store doesn't have a phone which to start shows they don't care about customer service. After wasting my time and drive of over 45 minutes, they didn't have what I was looking for, yet I would have know. If I made a call and asked a store clerk. But no way do they have logic in getting a cell phone or landline for the business. Upon arrival the clerk was rude and dismissive assuming they didn't have what I was looking for without even asking. Never coming back and don't recommend this mess of a business.

Best selection of shoes and apparel in LA hands down! Lots of color ways and brands to choose from and in the cutest neighborhood with a bunch of small shops.

I saw LSD pop up as I made my way home from Cookbook, a $20 turkey sandwich in hand. And one day not soon afterwards, I was almost back at my car when I remembered to check them out. The interior is stunning, a true statement in design and architecture, a little bit of an early 80s feel. Pops of color and lots of raw metal and concrete, a 9x16 screen playing running videos. Some 90s drum and bass was on the speakers and it suited the vibe perfectly. It's kind of the new muzak, right? They carry all different levels of running brands, from Nike and Adidas to Satisfy, White Engineering, to ON and ASICS and District Vision. Sarah was there to help out. Never any pressure and a true interest in helping me find what I need. I was looking for a trail runner that I could wear on set, nothing too dadcore but an elevated design, and something I could get a lot of wear out of. No small ask. I tried on some Norda 001 in Stealth Black and they seemed to work. I had her hold them. At home I dove into the interwebs and got nothing but positive reports about Nordas -- they were durable, worth the extra expense, and you would walk all day on them while traveling. When I finally went back to pick up the shoes, Clement was there, and he was extremely knowledgeable about both the nuances of the shoe and he had personal experience, having run on trails and roads with them. It's very important to note that LSD is very connected to community, through run clubs and events. I'm very excited to add the Nordas to my rotation. And will surely be back. I'm a big fan of supporting small ambitious creative local business and LSD is very worthy of your support too. It's truly a family affair. Go check 'em out.

I came to visit after work to check out this store. Unfortunately, the store was closed by 6pm. Even though the store hours suggested they're open until 7pm on the day I went.

Every time I've gone to a specialty running store, the folks there have looked at my gait, talked to me at length about what kinds of shoes might suit my feet... I've walked on treadmills, had my run filmed from behind... here it was sort of, "Yeah, this one is pretty good, and you could wear it into office; maybe this one you wouldn't wear into the office, but that's just my personal style." If I'm gonna spend this much money on shoes -- and I'm sure the shoes are good -- I'd like to feel like the people selling them have more knowledge about the shoes than I do. I'm not an experienced runner, so I go to the store to get expertise, insight, and help. I'm sorta like... these felt comfortable, but is there other stuff I should be thinking about?

this shop is in a residential area and this store has no consideration for the residents on Echo Park. They play loud music and used bullhorns for customers OUTSIDE the building instead of indoors. This nuisance of a business needs permits checked because it's extremely rude to people trying to have a peacefully day, week or weekend.
