I went to SALT one morning because I wanted to start one of my days in Oslo with a sauna. It was fairly easy to book a ticket and time online.
I went in the morning when only one of the three large saunas are open. When you get there it’s kind of confusing finding the check-in, because the front which is the concert venue/food trucks/gift shop/etc. are still closed, but the sauna facilities are all the way in the back.
You check in at the bar and there are basically a men and woman’s locker/changing room respectively, the co-ed saunas, showers and then large barrels for cold plunging. I brought my own towel, swimwear, lock, and shoes.
It’s by no means luxurious, but it’s a nice place to sauna and cold plunge which is the point. Can’t remember if the open sauna was meant to be the silent one but many patrons conversed, and not all rinsed - so many tourists and probably not frequent sauna goers if you’re stringent on sauna etiquette. Bar staff was friendly.
