Traditional bathing, exfoliation & massage in a restored landmark.

"A recently renovated bathhouse in Istanbul that maintains the traditional hammam rituals, emphasizing social interaction and spiritual wellness."

"Built in 1580, the Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamamı is known for its classical architecture and offers a higher-end traditional hammam ritual. It features ornate domes with star-shaped skylights and provides a relaxing atmosphere with traditional treatments."
"Dating back to the 16th century, Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamamı is one of the top spots in the city for experiencing a classic hamam ritual today; remember to book accordingly, as the hamam is open to women through mid-day and to men in the late afternoon and evening." - Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger left New York City for a life on the road. "While you can find a traditional Turkish hammam at many hotel spas around the capital city , the best way to experience the body cleansing ritual is at one of Istanbul’s oldest hammams. Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamamı offers separate hours for women and men and is as architecturally stunning as it is functional, with no-nonsense Turkish attendants the highlight of the bathhouse. Massage services can be booked as well, but you’re here for a very special kind of bath. After being doused in warm water, relax your muscles on a heated marble slab before being lathered from head to toe and emerging squeaky clean and invigorated. Oh, and when your attendant asks if you’d like your hair washed, the answer is an emphatic yes." - Stacey Lastoe

"Stylishly Soak Away the Day at a Hammam Enjoying a hammam experience while traveling in Istanbul was at the top of my list, but it was hard to choose where to soak! After all, the ritual of Turkish bathing wasn't one I was willing to just "leap" into; after stripping down to their bare essentials, bathers are soaked, washed and dried by same-sex attendants, typically in the sanctity of a mosque. But still, I didn't want to pick just "anywhere" to get naked and clean. Luckily, I stumbled upon the refined, spotless, inspiring and simply gorgeous space at the Kilic Ali Pasa complex near the Istanbul Modern Museum. I couldn't ask for a more swanky, special or amazing way to spend a relaxing afternoon, delving into Turkish tradition. When you're pruny and happy, they have a beautiful boutique next door to purchase lovely souvenirs to take home. For hours, policies, and booking see the link below and ENJOY! By Lentine Zahler"
