So disappointed with what this company has turned into. We used to frequent this bubble tea spot, as it is one of the best. Customer service used to be amazing and the last few times I’ve been here it’s been terrible. No greeting, no one even came to the counter when we walked in. We ordered our drinks through the kiosk and waited 5 minutes before someone came out and yet, still no greeting or acknowledgement. This will undoubtedly be my last time visiting this store which sucks because it was my favourite place to get bubble tea while visiting Ontario

***Update April 20th 2021*** I am back already folks !!! Their app is quick and easy to use. Their ingredients, flavour and options are absolute Top Shelf here !!! If you are a fan of awesome and authentic tasting bubble tea, then give it a try and let us all know what your thoughts are. I will try a few more times and if the consistency is there, then I will upgrade this to a 5 Star Home Run outta the park and into the street below !!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright folks, today I was in the mood for some good milk tea. I still remember trying my first bubble tea way back in 1999. How time has flown by... This location is on the way from my property viewings at the Pemberton Condos around the corner today so I thought that I would hit them up and report back. I have read that the wait times are LONG !!! So I heeded the advice from our fellow reviewers and guides to order via their app. It definitely makes life way much easier. I decided to try the 1) Lemon Kumquat, 2) Royal No.1, 3) Signature Golden Bubble Tea. I decided on no ice for all three drinks along with little sugar so that I can actually taste the quality of their teas and ingredients. Like I mentioned before, if you order via their app. Then you will have the advantages of tracking your order from start to finish. You will be rewarded with a point and bonus system too. So I just signed up. After your order via their app, you can simply head on down to pick up your order when it is ready and you receive your notification. It is a really efficient method. Otherwise, you will just raise your blood pressure sky way if you are left waiting 15-25 minutes for your order ( if ordered in person of course ). The tea is exceptional and the toppings are nicely cooked. The sweetness is on point for me as per my request. It is nice to know that they pay attention to your requests because not all places do and it just drives me NUTS !!! Batter batter batter swing .....a clear triple through the shift at second and into the centre field gap !!! A++ experience here folks. Give them a try and let us know what you think.

I had a really disappointing experience at this store. I went there with a friend, and when we arrived, the place was completely empty—no staff in sight. We even called out loudly, “Excuse me, is anyone here?” but no one responded. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone finally looked at us and said they were eating and would come help us—but no one ever did, so we left. Later, one of my friends went back with me again to get a drink , and the same thing happened. No staff around, and again we had to wait. Eventually, someone came and told us to use a self-order machine. The issue was, the machine only showed Chinese text—there was no clear English option. We told them we didn’t understand Chinese, and they said they would help, but again, no one came. This wasn’t just one bad visit—it’s happened more than once. The service is careless and unprofessional. We’re in Canada, and it's really frustrating that the machines don’t clearly support English or that staff don’t take the time to assist customers who don’t read Chinese. Honestly, this place is a waste of time and money. I don't recommend it at all.

The signature grass jelly milk tea is very good, the normal sugar level is comparable to 50% sugar at more popular chains such as chatime or coco. This drink is also about half various toppings (so much that they give you a spoon to enjoy it with), so if you drink bubble tea mainly for the milk tea, I would suggest something else. The mango pudding jasmine milk tea was also delicious. The pudding itself was soft and flavourful with a slight sourness, like a barely ripe mango. The milk tea itself was very refreshing. This is a drink perfect for summer. Both drinks were reasonably priced imo. The place itself is clean and the employees average. They were not rude nor did they provide exceptional service.

Refreshing and creative drinks. Best roasted oolong milk tea I’ve had. Pomelo Yakult drink is a summer heat buster. Can’t get enough of either drink. Comments on long wait are true if you catch them making several orders ahead of yours. I try coming in at odd hours so they’re not too busy. Overall, I’ll keep coming back for the drinks.

Discovered this right smack in the middle of the pandemic shutdown. Ordered thru skip the dishes. Hands down of the cleanest tasting milk teas in town. My personal favorite........Passionfruit Yakult with Pineapple Jelly. Soooo refreshing! Short of saying addicted, need to have my fix every week. Also try the Mango Pomelo, as well as the Kumquat Lemon.

They offer varied dessert-like drinks (some like taro offerings remind me of the sweet soup). Both the mango (more refreshing) and taro (more dense, creamy, and a lot of toppings) options I try are flavourful and delicious in different way. Order online is quick and hassle-free.

Stood around outside for several minutes past opening as the staff ignored me. After knocking on the window they finally came to tell me there's no tapioca or apparently any toppings. At opening. I don't mind if you're in a pickle or if there are staff shortages but just tell people you see them or something. Literally can't stop having bad experiences at a bubble tea place I really want to like.

Overall the milk tea tastes good. I tried many drinks such as grass jelly, coconut and so on. Love it. The specialty of this brand is that it has more addon than other milk tea brand. Love it I general.

The milk tea is ok. You can choose the degree of sweetness. It's a good place to have a cup of drink since there are not so many bubble-tea shops in Canada.

I've been wanting to try Shuyi for a long time, and I've heard great things about this bubble tea chain. I ordered my drinks through their online platform and I was very satisfied with how simple the process was. To top it off, I was given a $2 coupon towards my order upon making a new account. I believe they gave 3 of these coupons so i'm definitely gonna make use of them. My order: Signature Golden Bubble Tea - Strong tea flavour, I believe they used assam tea for this drink. I really enjoyed the texture and sweetness of the tapioca. Not too sweet, with a perfect amount of bounce to it. Oolong Roasted Milk Tea - Surprisingly the oolong and roasted flavours worked pretty well together. Once again, the tapioca did not disappoint and I was extremely satisfied. I got half sugar in this drink and I thought it was the perfect balance of sweetness and tea flavour. They also provided very artistic and unique cup designs, of which I forgot to take a photo of (oops). With or without the $2 coupon, I'll definitely be back to try other flavours, especially their new drink, mango pomelo sago!

Always coming here especially now during the hot summer time. I am craving something cool to drink. Since covid they are doing only online orders from the app. I like the app because you can collect points. I got some discounts which were cool. The price is a bit pricey and for the large, it's in a thin tall glass so the size is not that big. However, I like their Signature Grass Jelly Milk tea, very refreshing and lots of topping in it. They are also pretty fast with my order. My trick is to order when I'm still far away and when I arrive it's always ready. Update: I bought a honeydew drink from the app but didn't know it was a slush. The staff was helpful in canceling the order and I changed it to my favourite the Signature Grass Jelly Milk Tea and with the $3 voucher my drink was only around $3+. I also got to take some pictures.

Came here a couple weeks back during the UberEats BOGO promo. I had both the Grape Fig Jello Green Tea (one size) and Signature Grass Jelly Milk Tea (Large), which each were around ~$6.75 regular price, and 1/2 of that for me because of the BOGO. First off, I usually don't opt for fruity drinks when going for bubble tea; I usually go for the OG milk tea with pearls, because I like milk tea. That said, I was highly unimpressed by the Grass Jelly Milk Tea. Though Shuyi lived up to its motto/slogan "more toppings than you think" which I think was directly on the cup itself (lol), in this case, the toppings worked against the drink and threw the topping to milk tea proportions off big time. Basically, there wasn't much milk tea and there was a good deal of topping I had to "drink" dry. The milk tea itself was a bit bland (I prefer it very strong, so Coco is my go-to) and the toppings didn't add much to the weak flavour of the milk tea. I'd pass on this next time and am not really that enthusiastic about trying any of the other milk teas. It was a whole cup full of "meh" for me. Now, for the grape fig green tea. I wasn't expecting much, but I was blown away. At first glance, looks like there's no toppings in it. When I actually got around to drinking it, there was a lot, more than 50% of the cup was toppings. The flavours were excellent - I'm a huge fan of sour drinks, so this was something that really suited me. The toppings though, were what surprised me - I could discern different flavours from the toppings, and each topping added depth to the flavour of the drink as a whole. Some toppings leaned more towards that grass jelly/bitter/medicinal flavour, some sweet (jelly), and others (perhaps grapefruit pieces) were sour. So within the same drink, there was a lot of different flavours in play. Every sip felt a bit different. I thoroughly enjoyed this, enough to come back for another order before the BOGO offer ended. I'll definitely swing by for Shuyi and would be interested in trying some of the other fruity drinks they have, but I highly recommend the Grape Fig

Shuyi is not my top pick for bubble tea. I tried it when it first opened and I tried it again recently. There is something about the tea that doesn't hit the spot. The flavour is not distinct or maybe not flavourful enough. I like the interior though as it seems there usually is not a lot of people and would be a good place to chill or get some work done. During the first visit, I got their recommended drink with a bunch of toppings in it. I was told you cannot adjust the sugar level which should have already been a warning for me as I don't like my drinks too sweet. In my opinion I thought the number of toppings that they had in the drink is too much. This recent time I got the Golden bubble tea. It tasted so light and bland. I wish I could like this place more but I would probably go out of my way and go to the other better choices in Mississauga.

Ordered a drink that was very easy to order on Uber eats, loved it, came to the physical location and ordered (outside in my car) waited for 20 minutes for my drink only to find out it's not the same drink, they have 100 different options that are hard to distinguish. Asked the person in the front if they could possible remake the drink as I really liked the one I ordered. She said "no" no follow up or customer service. It's a shame! Drinks are pretty good but absolutely no customer service. Really sad because I specifically drive here after work instead of ordering Uber to make the business money. Update, drink was sour and the tea was steeped so strong it got me in the back of the throat! Went straight into the garbage. I'll just pay the same amount at Starbucks or other places and actually enjoy my drink.

I love this bubble tea spot! They've got a pretty unique menu if you want to try something new. I love the Royal No. 1 drink which is most like a regular brown sugar milk tea, my sister always gets the Mango Pomelo Yogurt. For Covid, they have an order online (or on the app) system, and usually you can pick it up in 15 minutes or so, you can try earlier but they tend to be on the busy side, especially in the evenings.

WARNING: Their signature grass jelly milk tea contains peanuts (or some type of nuts)!!! I've been here twice and ordered a Mango Pomelo Meet Grass Jelly cup and the Signature Grass Jelly Milk Tea. The mango pomelo comes in one size (regular) and is quite pricey but delicious! The bits of pomelo are tangy and give the drink a good balance of sweetness and tart flavours. My favourite is their Signature Grass Jelly Milk Tea and there is a mix of various jellies with some peanuts for texture. I found it worked really well with the milk tea as long as you enjoyed the drink within a few hours of ordering/them making it. This tea shop is somewhat smaller, with limited seating, but is a nice change in flavours compared to the regular chains of chatime and coco. Although their options of drinks isn't as plentiful as the chains, their current selection seems to have enough variety ranging from milk teas to fruit teas and juices.

UPDATE: 1 STAR to 5 STAR What? I know it's possible for businesses to get better!! It's one of my favorite places to get Bubble Tea Now! I'm glad it turned around and gotten better since that fateful time. They've really innovated their menu and included more interesting drinks. They specialize in other toppings now that most places don't even have! My Fav Toppings are: Boba, Sago, Pudding, Grass Jelly, Taro Balls, Fig Jelly and Popo. Their Yogurt drinks are changing the course of bubble tea world, the days of milk tea are over. If you love fruity but still enjoy the creaminess of Milk you are guaranteed to love their fruit drinks. The 1 down side is that at times the baristas don't follow the extra added toppings and tend to forget. Shuyi has really topped off as the best bubbletea store in my area.

2020-01-19. ShuYi Tealicious. Mississauga, ON. Shuyi Tealicious has 5 locations within Toronto and the GTA. This review is on the Mississauga location on Erin Centre Boulevard. If you're coming off the 403, it's visible while you're travelling north on Erin Mills, but you do have to be looking for it. It's on the east side just north of Eglinton Ave W. Located next to Tasty Hunan Cuisine, there's free plaza parking. This location is actually associated with Tasty Hunan Cuisine (franchise?) as it's signage mentions it. This visit was actually quite disappointing for us. We had heard a lot of good things about ShuYi and we actually went out of our way to stop by here for some bubble tea on our trip out to the Cambridge area. Inside the seating area is small with 5 small tables and one larger one. Total seating capacity about 16. The system they have is much like those of fast food establishments. You place your order at one spot them move to another to pick up your order. Overhead placards note this, but in Chinese. Being our first time here, we ordered the safe things. After all, if you can't make the basics right, how can the complex items be good? We ordered one Black Milk Tea (Oolong) with Mango Pudding and Brown Sugar Jelly, and one Green Milk Tea (Jasmine) with Mango Pudding and Mango Boba. Both the Green and Black Milk Teas themselves were pretty good, the flavors subtle and stronger as they should be for the Green and Black teas respectively. You could actually taste the Brown Sugar in the tea which was nice; however, both drinks were way too sweet for our tastes, and we had asked for reduced sugar (70%) for both drinks! The Mango pudding add-on's we requested was probably the biggest disappointment of all. Despite the cups being clear, we could not see the Mango Pudding in either of them. After several large drinks, we finally tasted the smooth pudding but that didn't last. With a quarter of the our large drink consumed, minimal Mango Pudding was consumed with it. We took it back to the store and double checked that they did add the Mango Pudding, which they confirmed they did. They even tore the sealed lid off and took a spoon to prove it to us. Now this could have been seen as rude, but knowing Asians are pretty straight forward, we let it slide. Besides, we wanted them to show us the Mango Pudding because we were pretty certain, there wasn't much in there. The lady scooped up a piece the side of an ice cube and we asked if that was the standard portion to which she replied yes. Not offering to add more, or to make it right, she handed us the drink back and continued with fulfilling new orders. Stunned that we were treated this way, we asked if they could add more Mango Pudding and that we'd pay for the additional topping (again). It was only then that they added another ice cube of pudding. Not wanting to cause a scene, we didn't ask for more to be added to the Green Tea we ordered as well, but in hind sight, we should have. They didn't charge us for the extra Mango Pudding, but we already knew we were not going to be repeat customers. The worse part, well this is pretty bad customer service, so it probably is the worse part, but the next worse part is that they even advertise that their drinks come with "MORE TOPPING included than YOU THINK" (see pictures). For what we paid, $19+ for two drinks, we expected way more that what we got. Huge disappointment for us. I give the place 4 stars for the Milk Teas alone, but am docking 2 stars the false advertising of toppings and the terrible customer service. For this price, I expected a premium milk tea, but all we received was something sub-par. 2 stars overall. This is my second time here and again they don't have tapioca. They also said they ran out of the pineapple and passion fruit tea and royal no. 1. Still a pretty good bubble tea place but such a disappointment when they don't have tapioca or other drinks to try.

Services were average. I ordered the Signature Grass Jelly Milk Tea and it supposed to come with grass jelly, tapioca, red beans, fruit jelly, and raisin and nuts. Personally, I am NOT a big fan of it. It sucks that sugar level cant be adjusted. And when I got the drink I saw no tapioca so I asked the lady she said " there are very little tapioca in the drink." I was like okay....not impressed with her response...why would any customer be happy to hear that YES there are tapioca but very few....!! So i went home and through out the entire drink I had 3 tapiocas ....just 3 I personally again dont think fruit jelly and milk tea are good combos they dont even taste right... Wont come back! Dont recommend this place. And the drink does not look what is advertised.

Went here because a friend was raving about it. Long story short, it's a unique tea shop. It takes a while to make because they brew the tea fresh but we weren't in a rush for anything so time wasn't an issue. My friend had tried a few drink and mango pudding jasmine milk tea sounded interesting so I got that. This one you can't change the ice level and sugar level and I'm not a big fan of sweet so this sucks. The drink itself was really good. I liked the mango pudding! Close by that I would come back to try another drink. There are a few seats avail.. imagine coco.

Most underrated bbt place ever. I can understand people complaining about stuff running out. But this is not necessarily a bad thing. They use a lot of fresh ingredients. And the time to make it is expected considering how unique the drinks are. Simply and honestly delicious. Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself! My favs are the signature, and mango pomelo meets grass jelly.

Was there yesterday around 4h30 to order 2 drinks, Waited for 20 minutes before getting our drink..customers that order after us received their orders before us...we ask the worker how come they got their drink first and she reply because theirs are easier to make than ours so she made them first...I was like wth...that's is simply stupid

For the drink itself, it's my new favorite bubble tea place! I got the Royal No 1 milk tea, which is a sweet, creamy milk tea, with brown sugar jelly mixed in at the bottom (instead of tapioca). The jelly is the best part. The seating area is cozy and comfy to wait in, but I didn't stay to drink. They also accept cash or debit only and service is very slow, even when there aren't any other customers in the area.

Came here last night to order their pineapple passion fruit - it already has passion fruit seeds, tapioca, and some other jellies in there for 6.20 including tax. It's not bad - in comparison to what you can get at the other chain stores. Located in the corner of the plaza besides Dominos - it's a small place that you'd probably not run across unless you were so happen to be there. I would definitely try their Pearl Milk Tea which seems like has a lotttt of other toppings in it.

I had one of their teas today, which was Mango Pomelo Sago. It's the best bubble tea I've had so far in life. I have another one that I'll try tomorrow, but I'm confident it will also be good. I ordered off Uber Eats and someone called me regarding an item not being vegan. They respected my veganism, which is unfortunately not that common for restaurants/cafes. They also listened to my instructions of not including any straws or utensils.

Came here Sunday night and ordered the Passion Fruit Yakult. Flavour is pretty good and you can really taste the Yakult. The place is nicely renovated but with only a few seats. Definitely a good addition to the area for bubble tea and fruit tea.

Absolutely taking long time for orders. There are a few staffs working in this location but it still took at least 40 mins after I ordered on their app, for my past 4 orders from different days. The staffs sometimes chatting and joking around each other but jut ignored the customers when they walked in and waited for service. However I will still go there because I do love their drinks.

I witnessed some disgusting and unhygienic behavior from the erin center location. A customer had just purchased a bubble tea and was leaving when the bubble tea bag slipped and fell. Not sure if the lid was secured properly as all the contents spilled into the bag. The customer went back and told them what had happened. While she was thinking she was getting a replacement, I happened to glance into shop and saw they had her bag on the counter and were draining the bag that had fallen on the floor into a new glass instead of making a new drink. The customer was oblivious to what I had witnessed. I did inform the customer as she was exiting the store. She was so disgusted that she just took the whole bag and threw it in the garbage outside. In these times I would not expect anyone to be so unhygienic. Buy at your own risk.

In downtown Toronto I loved it the first time. The second time the person didn't understand and I couldn't drink it 'cause I felt sick from it. Read the order first before paying. I just wanted a strawberry milk green tea with jelly. She was the same person who had made the drink from the day before but misunderstood the second time. Now I found out it's in Mississauga too so hopefully it will be better here.

It took a long time to get our order. We ordered on Uber eats at around 8 or 8:30PM and we were told we would get it by 9:40PM. It finally came at around 10:10PM and usually I wouldn't mind since I sleep late anyway, but we shouldn't have to wait almost 2 hours for a drink. But that wasn't the worst part. While I can say that the drink itself was tasty (that's why it's not a 1 star review), I don't appreciate the fact that I sucked up a piece of paper towel that was in my drink. Super gross.

Perfect place for bubble tea. Better than any other ones that I been to. This is our first choice for bubble tea, the taste is unbelievable, so refreshing. It tasted so good that we want to go back right away. We had more than 4 drinks each time we visit. Today, we ordered 9 drinks. Our goal is to try all favours they have. Love to see them open more locations like in the mall.

Delicious teas. Try the mango pomelo meet grass jelly, it's amazing!! Not 5 stars because it was a pretty long wait for my drinks :/ but very delicious and pretty drinks

Unless you have all night it took us 20 mins to get three drinks and there was no one else in the shop!They don't move very fast there. Prob will not come again unless I have all night to sit & do nothing.

Ordered in advance on the app, 20 minutes before getting to the store. Once I arrived, I waited another 20 minutes to receive my order of 3 drinks. There were 5 staff members and not single customer in the store. Absolutely ridiculous and the worker was unapologetic. M

In Mississauga their quality of drinks are considered one of the best. However they need to work on the logistics of the drinks order. They messed up our drinks order twice. They were being very apologetic and quick on catching the error but they just need a better system to improve their service level.

Take an hour to make a bubble tea even there was not busy at all. I am not exaggerating! I wait an hour to get my bubble tea! I asked for large but got a small one. I called them and they excused that they'd never offer a large size for that drink. No one told me about that when i was ordering! Really awful service!

Addicted to their honey pomelo. Sometimes they take a very long time to make the drinks, but worth the wait !
