Hôtel Mistral

Situated at a literal stone's throw from Montparnasse Cemetery, this quiet, tastefully renovated hotel is great value, especially if you can get a good price online. Rooms are Parisian in size, but they are spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast bar is very nice, and has a ever rotating selection of quality local produce. What makes the Mistral special, apart from its historical relevance, is the great service. I've rarely been in any hotel were the staff were so warm and considerate. We loved staying here and will definitely try to return.

We stayed there twice in December 2025. Overall it's a very charming hotel. The staff is absolutely fantastic and welcoming. I was offered coffee and pastries as soon as I arrived the first time, and even champagne the second time (it was New Year's Eve...). The location is ideal if you're coming from CDG airport and taking the train from Montparnasse the following day. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I'd recommend getting the Superior Double for a little more space, and more spacious bathroom. The breakfast was amazing.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Hotel Mistral. It's a 5 min walk to the Gare Montparnasse and tons of restaurants, yet still in a quiet side street. The staff was super attentive and the rooms were quite spacious compared to typical French hotels. Will definitely consider going back on future trips.

Excellent hotel. Very clean, great breakfast, staff is friendly and helpful. Great location, very good restaurants and patisseries near by. Short walk from airport fast train station. Comfort room is too small.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially with our 1-year-old daughter. They let us warm up her food anytime we needed and even provided a high chair, which made everything so much easier. The location is perfect, and the housekeeping team was impeccable and attentive — it truly felt like home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I stayed one night at the Mistral Hotel on 16th November 2025. ||The reception was excellent- friendly and efficient. They not only allowed me to leave my bags in my room when I arrived (very) early, they gave me a cup of coffee and some pastries on my arrival - such a nice jesture.||The room itself was very clean, modern and comfortable. I didn't have breakfast there so I can't comment but the coffee they provided was fine.||This strikes me as a really well-run, well appointed hotel. I would give it four stars for location, not five, because it isn't very central but that really isn't the hotel's fault.||Everything else? Five stars

My wife and I stayed here for a week in September. It was a wonderful week. in no small part due to the Hotel Mistral. It's perfectly located on a quiet side street but close to bus stops, Metro stops, and the Montparnasse train station. If you enjoy walking like we do, you will find several nearby pedestrian-friendly streets, and the lovely Montparnasse Cemetery is steps away, as well an awesome farmer's market, several beautiful churches, and the Catacombs not far. The hotel's rooms are cozy, spotlessly clean, and the bed and bedding divine (particularly after a full day of walking). We looked forward to sitting in the quiet courtyard each morning during the the wonderful breakfast buffet. (We still dream about their amazing breads, pastries, cheeses, fresh fruit, eggs, lattes, etc.!) The staff is very friendly and have some great recommendations. The price of our stay was just right. There may be other hotels in Paris, but this is where we will return when we are again in Paris, which hopefully will be soon!

This is actually the second time I have stayed here as it is close to where I need to be in Paris and the location really works for me. Luckily, this hotel is a great find. ||The rooms and the bathrooms are perfectly clean and the mattresses and sheets have been comfortable for me. Cleanliness is the main thing for me, and I have not found this to be a problem. |The rooms are usual size for Paris (small) but they have everything you need, and are well thought out. |The housekeeping does a great job as well. |Mainly, I have found very nice people at the front desk who are helpful. Fernando even offered and made a restaurant reservation for me upon my request. They recognized that I was a returning customer (not their system). |It is very close to the Metro and also to many restaurants and bars (not uncommon in most of Paris). ||The couple of things I would comment on is:|1. The entrance is about 5-6 stairs so you have to lift your suitcase up these stairs. I wish there was a small ramp or something. |2. I think it is the manager (?) who is always sitting there with her laptop in their dining area. All the time. I guess they don't have an are for them to work. Feels odd to have a staff sitting there constantly and she is not greeting anyone or seeming helpful in any visible way.

Yelp
This hotel is extremely charming with very nice staff. They even have delicious French pastries in a basket in the lobby. When we arrived, my daughter was even given a cute bear and an extra financier. Our room was very small--which was fine--but there were some shelves on the wall, and I accidentally knocked a plant off one. With so little room to maneuver, nonessentials should probably go.

Yelp
Started my Paris trip at a flat I had booked through Airbnb. Within minutes of checking in, I realized it was not going to work. Fortunately Hotel Mistral had an open room during my stay. I absolutely loved my time in Paris, largely in part due to the hotel! Great location (short walk to the metro as well as walking distance to many great sites and restaurants). It was an easy and lovely 30 minute morning walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Dome Church. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable (with sizable showers! I actually had room to shave my legs!) and the lounge area was cozy. In the evenings we'd sit in the lounge and play the available board games while sharing a bottle of wine. I look forward to staying here on my next visit.

Yelp
Lovely and welcoming hotel located a block from the MONTPARNASSE Cemetery on a quiet street. The location between Denfert-Rocherau RER station and Gare MONTPARNASSE works great if you're flying into CDG and then going south or west from the train station. It's a nifty 10-minute walk from Denfert-Rocherau along pedestrianized and always-interesting Rue Daguerre. It's a shorter walk from the hotel to Gare MONTPARNASSE, and it's downhill.

Yelp
I paid 171,00 Euros (more than US$200,00), w/o breakfast, for the following services: 4 steps to climb to get to front desk, nobody to help you. Nobody to help you to put your luggages in the elevator. A room that do not allow you to open your suitcases. Noise from slamming door of neighbors. Noise from backyards. No amenities. I complained to the hotel management, that just answers that their prices follow the law of offer and demand. As a French, born in Paris, I felt ashamed. To redeem my self, here is my review. Forgive us.
