"The Auberge du Vieux-Port is housed in a 19 th -century leather merchant building and faces directly onto the St. Lawrence River, with its summertime cruise ships and wintertime snowy beauty. The hotel opened in 1997, with a second building—another old warehouse—added in 2001. Original beams, brick, and stonework give the lobby a historic feel, as does the gorgeous, wood-framed fireplace. The rooms combine original features such as large casement windows with ultra-luxe touches like marble bathrooms and multi-jet showers. Breakfast is complimentary and goes far beyond the usual buffet to include a full à la carte menu (the eggs Benedict are sublime); it can even be delivered to guests' rooms for an indulgent breakfast in bed. The old port location puts guests right in the thick of things. Camera-toting tourists on horse and carriages clip-clop past by day, while at night the streets buzz with the city’s fashionable inhabitants chatting in French and English on their way to visit the latest bar or restaurant."

Our stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the valet greeted us with warmth and professionalism, as though we’d been long-anticipated guests. That first impression set the tone , the entire staff was kind, courteous, and wonderfully attentive throughout our stay.||Our room was small yet filled with luxurious details, thick towels, cozy robes, and fragrant bath products. Housekeeping left little chocolates every day, which made us feel so cared for. The room was spotless, smelled lovely, and had that rustic charm that beautifully reflects the history of Old Montreal’s waterfront.||Each day, we enjoyed complimentary coffee, tea, and biscuits, and meals at Gaspar Brasserie Française were simply exceptional.||The elevator may be old-fashioned, but it works perfectly , and adds a nostalgic touch that suits the hotel’s character.||If you’ve never been to Europe or Paris, Montreal offers a wonderful glimpse of that world, from its cobblestone streets and historic buildings to its cafés, shops, and dining experiences.||This hotel captures that spirit perfectly. We felt welcomed, relaxed, and delighted from start to finish — and we’ll certainly return.

We had a very good stay at the Auberge. The staff are attractive, friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the pedestrianised street at the back with its cafes and shops but as we were on the fourth floor it was not too noisy. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the hotel are more generous with their bottles of water than many other places I have stayed. We had a large bathroom with both a shower and a bath and lots of hot water. Breakfast at Pincette each morning was delicious and served promptly though by 8.30 it was pretty busy. We had dinner with friends one night at the Taverne Gaspar where again we were looked after very well, the food was good but the room was very noisy.

We ended a cruise in Montreal and this hotel is an easy walk from the port. We had a lovely view of the park and harbor from our window. The room was nicely decorated with a large bathroom. The reception desk people kept our bags until our room was available. Breakfast is not included but there is a nice restaurant attached and another upstairs for breakfast. Recemmended

We had a great stay for the long weekend at the Lofts. We were a bit surprised there was no elevator and we had so many stairs to walk up - but the service was excellent and we had help to carry up our bags. We loved the apartment style lofts. It had almost everything we needed in the kitchen to prep food (the only thing missing was a cutting board). Happy that there was an iron and ice tray we could use. We didn’t have a fireplace like a lot of the photos show, but we had a nice jacuzzi tub! The best part for us was the comfortable bed and the location in the old town was perfect. We also loved the big windows which let in good sunlight - too bad we couldn’t open them to get some fresh air. Overall, great experience and would come back.

The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The loft was immaculate and very stylish and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better location to see Old Montreal. Steps from restaurants, shops and the pier. Close to the Basillica and Bonsecours market. It had THE most amazing shower and loved that it had a Nespresso machine. We ate out, but you could prepare a meal in, the kitchen was well appointed. I will never stay anywhere else in Montreal!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We checked into their main hotel which is Auberge Du Vieux-Port. The Porter from this hotel then takes your bags and walks you one block up to the "Lofts" building. |This property has lots of charm and history. The old wood beams and the thick stone walls added to this fun experience. The Loft we stayed in is located on the 2nd floor and we did not have a problem with the street noise or the constant movement of people. To me it was a beautiful view from our windows people watching, and looking at the other old buildings in the area. |The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you would require to cook any meal there. If you don't feel like cooking all of their restaurants had great meals with lots of options to choose from. The washroom has a beautiful rain shower head that was perfect after a lot of walking to relax in. |We were located one block north of Rue St. Paul which is a hub of pedestrian traffic. Everything was centrally located for us. |Bleze L the front desk supervisor made sure to answer all our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend the Lofts or the Auberge Du Vieux-Port to anyone looking for romance, Central location in historic old Montreal.

We stayed a week at the Lofts 700 which is just steps away from all of the action but a bit off the main Rue St Paul. Many restaurants are within a few minutes walk and the Metro about 10 minutes. It was perfect for us; spacious with a kitchen and laundry. |The staff are very attentive and friendly. A special shout-out to Louise. She was sweet, bubbly and exceptionally helpful from start to finish. |We would book Auberge Du Vieux Port again.
