This review is from the perspective of a private room. This is a “cool” place in a “cool” neighborhood. But it’s very much a hostel experience. As someone in my low 40s, I book private rooms these days because I usually get a hotel room like experience with the community and neighborhood vibe of a hostel. This usually works out well. Not so much here. Very much still felt like a hostel at a hotel price. Requested extra pillows beyond the one per person that came with the room. After a promise to bring them up, they never arrived. Room service just tossed the duvet back on the bed, did not change coffee cups or espresso pods. No cups for water. There was no outlet in the bathroom and the toilet took several flushes to get anything down. The shower had just a curtain and flat floor, leaving water everywhere after every shower, with no floor towel. A light was also out so the bathroom was barely lit.
There was one hanger in the room for two people.
Several small things, yes, but together this was admittedly not an ideal experience.
