A surprisingly extensive exhibition that takes you right through the cheese-making process — literally through the factory. You walk in a glass tunnel between rooms where the magic happens. Tasting included, of course. The shop at the end is dangerously tempting, with a massive selection of Norman cheeses. Educational, tasty, and slightly risky if you're weak around Camembert style cheese. :)

A wonderful free short self guided tour of the cheese factory. The children and adults enjoyed watching informative videos and seeing the cheese being made live. This can be followed up with a range of cheese tasting options at an additional cost. We shared ours between two and this was plenty. The cheese was so good!!! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Interesting place to visit to see how different kinds of cheese are produced locally at the factory. From one side the place is very touristic - groups are coming by busses one after another. From the other side the place is organized very efficiently to allow for such a flow of tourists. The visit is free, because at the end you exit via factory store selling all kinds of cheese they produce, as well as many other items (targeted to touristic purchase habits). The tour itself is very informative, with explanations (in French language only!) and allows a pick at the production areas where you see factory employees busy at various stages of cheese production. Worth a visit if you're nearby.

Very nice free self-guided tour, with free tasting! It's worth it if you are visiting Camembert area! Much better tour than the ones you have to pay for at Camembert! And you can see the whole cheese production live!

A nice museum/factory to visit; good for groups and families (even with small children). It’s free to visit, and the tour doesn’t take long. Most signs and plaques are bilingual (French-English), the videos have English subtitles, and at the beginning of the tour are resources in a number of different languages. We learned a lot from the tour and enjoyed seeing the different cheese-making processes. At the end of the tour, in the shop, you can sample the cheeses. The only aspect that I think could be improved would be to make a tasting an official part of the tour. You learn so much about the different cheeses in the museum, but it’s difficult to remember the particularities when you’re just quickly sampling cheeses in the shop. It would be nice to have a tasting with a museum guide offering explanations of each cheese and recalling the information presented during the tour. Of course there are employees in the store who are knowledgeable about the products and would be able to answer questions, but you don’t exactly want to monopolize their time when there are so many other customers in the store.

This place is a self-tour place. Smells of cheese when u arrive. You are allowed to taste the cheese after the tour and there is a shop where u can buy souvenirs and cheese 🧀 after. The toilets are outside the building.

The farm has a fabolous touristic circuit, museum and production facility and ahop. It is free, we really enjoyed it. The ice cream we bought was a great extra!

Really enjoyed the free tour of the factory. Very informative and exhaustive. We tried the cheese platter and bought cheese and sausages to take back with us. Yummy!

This is a cheese factory that you can visit for free. We went as a group with kids during Easter 2008. The factory is very modern and produces Pont l'Eveque, Livarot and Camembert You are taken round by a guide who can speak English and German as well as French. In addition, there are various information points where, by pressing a button, you get a summary of the area in your language. Despite the factory environment, visitors are channeled through the production facilities in their own 'corridor' with viewing galleries over the particular production areas. Of course there's a faint smell from the cheese but I guess adults like it whilst it wasn't too bad for our kids. We found the whole visit very informative and interesting, especially as you see production in progress. At the end of the visit there's the inevitable shop where you can buy souvenirs and, surprise, surprise cheese. Well worth spending an hour of your time.
