I have been to the Frog and Onion Pub at Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard and it was a great stop. The building itself is full of character… it’s located in an old stone cooperage that was once used by the Royal Navy. The high ceilings, heavy beams, historic stone walls, and nautical decorations make the atmosphere feel rich and authentic. It’s a memorable place to sit down for a meal.
The food was really good. I had the fish and chips and it came out hot and perfectly cooked… crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. The menu had a variety of classic comfort foods and hearty meals that filled us up after a long day of walking.
The service was friendly and efficient. Even though the area can get busy when cruise ships come in, the staff stayed on top of things and made us feel welcome. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside, and we enjoyed being able to relax in a spot with so much history around us.
If you’re visiting the Dockyard and looking for a satisfying meal in a unique setting, this is a great choice. I would definitely go back again.
