"To dine at Le Tamarin is to feel like you are doing so in the middle of a tropical oasis—if, well, the jungle had glamorous guests dining in sequins and feathers, as well guests playing boozy games of backgammon on its grounds. Serving up French island-style cuisine (think ceviche yet also foie gras) and an expansive fresh-caught fish selection, you’d be remiss not to order their signature cocktail, the Tamarini, before heading out on the town."

Our large party had a nice dinner here on a Friday night around 9pm. I was surprised that the dining room was pretty sparsely populated but I suppose that we were eating on the later side. We ordered several appetizers to share including the eggplant, arugula salad and caviar. For dinner I had the veggie main and my husband had the flank steak. The food was good if not great and the we had prompt service through the meal. Overall we had a very pleasant if not standout dining experience at Tamarin.

We had a very nice time at Le Tamarin. The setting and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, feeling as though you are dining in an enchanted garden. We started with the eggplant appetizer, which was not to our taste but was rescued by a fabulous bread and hummus service. For our main dishes we enjoyed the Beef Wellington (exceptional!!) and the tomato pasta (fresh and clean), along with mashed potatoes and french fries. For dessert, the Chocolate Gianduja was a wonderful end to the night. Service was prompt and pleasant, with the restaurant team working together very smoothly.

The service and atmosphere were phenomenal. The lobster pie was delicious however it was not easy to cut/eat. Would be better as bite size portions. The tuna tartar was out of this world. The bavette was a bit under seasoned and my vegetables were cold. The hummus and bread were amazing. So was the lobster ravioli although it was a very small portion for the price. Only 3 raviolis and no side.

We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant in St. Barths. The setting was absolutely stunning—like dining in a lush jungle. Half of the restaurant was covered, while the other half was open-air, creating a magical ambiance. The food was just as impressive as the atmosphere. The service was attentive and top-notch from start to finish. One standout dish was the eggplant appetizer—unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The salads were fresh, the steak was perfectly cooked, and every dish we tried was fantastic. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in St. Barths. Beautiful setting, great food, and excellent service—an unforgettable experience! If taking a taxi make sure you have one reserved beforehand

This restaurant is in a beautiful tropical setting to resemble a jungle-like feel. The food was very good but the atmosphere was unnerving. The staff are literally sprinting from table to table and room to room. You are waiting for them to clash into each other. Not very relaxing to watch and or makes you feel rushed to eat your dinner rather than relaxing and enjoying a very good meal. Even the server that deboned our fish table side did so at mach speed. And because you have so many different people waiting on you aside from your waiter or waitress, they make mistakes. We had both sparkling and still water and when they came to refill our glasses they poured sparkling water into my glass of still water. Then another server brought us regular bread when our head waitress knew we were gluten free... It was my birthday and I couldn't even trouble one of them to take our picture because they were flying around like crazy. It was like watching bees in a hive.

This place has a good atmosphere but food lacked flavor. I ordered the wagyu hamburger. The hamburgers itself was cold, bread was plain white, bland and not crispy at all (it looked like they went to a supermarket, bought the bread and served as it is) and the fries were super oily and soggy. Not the French restaurant that meets the bar for the price it asks.

Amazing hidden gem. We had a 730 reservation and loved our dinner. The setting is magical; it feels like you’re dining in a jungle. The service was a bit slow at times, but overall it was good. We had the beef Wellington which was perfect in addition to many other dishes. A few of the seafood dishes needed a bit more salt or flavor to the sauce, but overall a great meal. The tamarind rum punch was great!
