An amazing place! I really enjoyed going with my friends. The place is large but cozy. The food is delicious, and the servers were amazing. We went on a rainy day, and my friend left her card on the table. The waitress (I wish I remembered her name) ran in to the rain to give us the card, only a good person does that! Please leave a good tip :) they deserve it 100%. And let me tell you about the pastries and breads, simply delicious! You'll want to keep eating more! I will definitely be back, also, don't forget to get your coffee!! Love this place, is a gem!!

Incredible place to get breakfast or lunch. 100% recommended. Right off the bat, the cozy industrial atmosphere is pleasant to the eye. There is plenty of space so it doesn’t feel crowded. The Christmas decorations give it a magical touch. Good, fast and friendly service. Dishes were very well presented and exquisite. Very original as well. They are smaller portions than in other places, with a slightly elevated price. You do get satisfied with one plate and a pastry, luckily. But overall, very well worth it. Will be coming back soon. Ordered the mushroom tortellini. I have never tried mushrooms with so much flavor before. The passion fruit mocktail, the apple pie danish, ricotta benedict, orange grey tea bread can be recommended by us. The one drawback are the restrooms. I know, you don’t go to a restaurant for the restrooms, but they are part of the experience. They were clean for sure, yet unsightly. Reminded me of a gas station restroom. Nevertheless, don’t let this stop you from coming.

We had the chance to come and dine for dinner (a very new option here!) and it was delightful. 🥰 This place is in kind of a random part of town and we weren't sure what to expect from the dinner menu since this has been up until (I think?) this past week just a breakfast / brunch / bakery hotspot. However, we were really pleasantly surprised by the rich flavors and texture in the Wild Mushroom Tortellini - especially since we aren't typically big mushroom people - and we scraped the plate clean. The loaded potato pizza was fantastic; crispy and puffy and generous with its toppings. As for everything else.. the staff was very sweet and helpful. The prices felt reasonable. The ambience was wonderful. Highly recommend, thanks again!

This is my favorite bakery and we decided to spend our 8th anniversary here for dinner - we were not surprised, it was amazing. Arancini was a great 10/10 and the flat bread was huge and cheap, I could eat that for lunch every day. This remains our favorite spot.

We've been to Forty Three several times now and keep coming back for good reason! Whether it's their pastries, brunch, or dinner, everything has this wonderful European flair - perfectly balanced flavors and gorgeous presentation every time with outstanding service. Chef Andrew Corrao really knows his craft, and when he comes over to explain the dishes, it feels like having your own personal chef right there at the table. The space itself is amazing - they transformed an old warehouse into a really special place with the exposed brick, concrete floors, industrial ceiling, and open kitchen where you can watch everything happen. What I love is that it's not just a bakery (though their baked goods are incredible). It's a complete dining experience with everything from unique dinner options to great pizza and desserts. This was a great find, wish I had known about it earlier. My daughter and I went for lunch today Monday. The food was excellent. We also had a server that was top notch. I hope I spell her name right? Eunbin If I remember correctly. This will be a new go to, we ordered a potato Benedict that was outstanding. We also had a dessert and corn raviolis. Everything was delicious and very artful, including my cappuccino. We highly recommend!

Very beautiful interiors and decor. Very industrial looking brick building just in the middle of nowhere lol. But the bakery was super cute had a good set of baked goods. The servers were friendly and polite. The breakfast items that were ordered were very good and tasty and the drinks were good too. The lavender fog and dirty chai were especially done well. It feels very serene and was a nice place for brunch. I would highly recommend.

Go early for the good stuff! I Googled it, stopped in to get breakfast, coffee, and some freshly baked sourdough bread to go. The soft scramble was outstanding. Perfectly scrambled eggs on top of a slice of their freshly baked sourdough bread, crispy bacon, and a lightly dressed salad. It was just what I needed for the ride back to Las Vegas. unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try those delicious pastries, but just from looking at them, I’m sure they were delicious. When I finally got home, I couldn’t stop eating their delicious sourdough bread. They brought it out warm and the two loaves survived the five hour trip to Vegas. My wife thought the bread was a little overcooked, but I didn’t mind charred parts of the crust. When I go back, I’m absolutely stopping in for another round and possibly a couple of those pastries as well. Don’t miss this place when in Utah.

I didn't dine in, so full disclosure, this may not be the full experience you can expect when you go. I was intrigued by the posts they'd recently made on instagram of fruit-shaped pastries and needed to try them, so this review's scope is thus limited. I tried the raspberry and the pinecone, in addition to a couple other pastries I'm familiar with from previous visits. The classics never disappoint (an intricate latticed pastry with spinach filling, and a cinnamon maple scone), but the new fruit-shaped ones were outstanding. I wasn't expecting a hard chocolate shell around them, but was pleasantly surprised by its thin brittleness, which made sure not to overwhelm the other flavors. The raspberry was my favorite because you could clearly taste each element, and the tartness of the raspberry came through beautifully, while the pinecone's flavors were good but a bit muddled together; i was impressed by the incredibly subtle rosemary flavor, however. I'm excited to try the remaining 2 next time, and maybe get another raspberry! It's awesome seeing chefs experiment & i hope 43's continues to push the envelope.

these new fruit desserts are so beautiful and fun to eat - however, I find them to be a bit too heavy and creamy (but great for sharing!). Compare to ones I've had elsewhere, I wish these are more fruity/tangy and with more textures. However, still fun and makes a beautiful gift!

This review is for their Thanksgiving pies only! I ordered the chocolate silk pie, pumpkin, and pecan pie. The chocolate silk pie was thin and flavorless. Don't waste your money The pumpkin pie was just okay, again subtle flavor. The pecan was good, this one had great flavor, it just fell apart very easily . Sadly I wouldn't recommend the thanksgiving pies. I'm going to try the bakery soon, and will update my review then.

This place is so beautiful and cozy on the inside and would make for a perfect date spot. It also has great mountain views. You can tell they truly care about their customers and quality of food. The potato pave Benedict and bison short rib pasta both tasted great with super fresh ingredients. Pasta is made in house and you can tell. All staff was so welcoming and friendly; they were near closing and were offering all customers free pastries which was so sweet. I've had their pastries before and they are spot on. Highly recommend eating at this local gem!

We came here after a session at Glow, and it did not disappoint. We were there at lunchtime on a weekday and were sat right away. The server was so helpful and answered all our questions. We ordered the quiche and cardamom bun. This place is quiet, with such a calm vibe. I'd love to come work here with a tasty pastry! It's a sit down place, but they also have a few tables right as you enter if you'd prefer to have a quick coffee and pastry. I'll be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here! We got the mushroom tortellini, made with locally sourced mushrooms; the pave Benedict, which was basically a perfectly poached egg on a giant tater tot; and the coffees. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Honestly loved the whole thing, but if I had to be picky the coffee was a bit too dark a roast. With lighter roast, I think of the sweeter chocolate notes would have been more present. We also took some pastries home which also hit it out of the park. They have really unique flavors, some from local ingredients. My favorite, the cherry blossom scone was probably one of the best we've had outside of England. They clearly do carbs very well Service was also super sweet and the ambiance was industrial chic. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.

I am absolutely in love with this place! I read about the history of Chef Andrew and the thoughtful touches from the name to the logo to city specific croissants! I was excited to meet him while enjoying one of the best brunches I've had in a long time! The tender steak with fried eggs and a layered potato cake that was like nothing I tasted before and the mushroom tartine are delicious! The space is open and bright with natural light. The service was exceptional! I took two sourdough loaves to go. I highly recommend supporting this local business and Chef Andrew!

UPDATE - they now serve breakfast. Right when you walk in you're greeted by a host asking if you are dining-in for breakfast or just getting coffee/pastry. There's two separate areas depending on what type of customer you are. The seating area for coffee/pastry customers is TINY. One or two tables and a couple couches all in a tiny area. One person on each couch with a laptop is pretty much what you have going on, meaning there's not much more room to chill. Outside has seating directly under the hot sun, no umbrellas or trees for shade - in 95+ degree weather, no way. There's a reason no one was sitting outside. The host area at the entrance to the bakery might've been bigger than the coffee/pastry customers sitting area. Last time we were here, we came with a group of 6-8 of us to hang out for coffee. That's no longer reasonable given the small space allotted for these types of customers. Bummer, I thought this would've been a great place to hang with a few friends, but doesn't seem the case any longer. Because this is a HUGE bakery that has seating all down the side and even in the back where the restrooms are - make the entire front area for coffee customers and the entire side and back area for dine-in customers. There was no one sitting for breakfast anyways, so it's wasted space. There were WAY more customers in the coffee area and it was cramped, so we just left. This layout has the potential to really discourage sitting to enjoy coffee. I totally understand dedicating a portion of the area to dine-in customers but I don't think leaving a small cramped area for coffee customers only is the solution. A little rearranging in the front area and umbrellas outside could do this place some good. The coffee and food is still top notch though! My original review touted the spacious layout of this place. Since that's no longer a thing, I'll remove one star.

Bitter/sweet They made the area no longer a place to get coffee and sit, their lounge area is tiny :( But they now have a sit down restaurant style and food looks good! Coffee and pastries are always delicious. When we first came we thought wow huge place to come and sit with friends to have coffee but the switched it up. You can't sit unless you order off menu. Service is great. We can't wait to come back for brunch or dinner

our experience started with the hostess asking if we had a reservation (at 11 am on a random weekday with only 3 other tables being occupied in this huge space) and when we said no it felt a bit awkward afterwards. He had us sit on the couch and we waited a few minutes to be seated. The overall space was a bit smokey from the kitchen as well. Once we were seated, it was truly an awkward interaction from there on out. The water cups are worth 4 sips and our waiter never filled them once empty. The space has a large warehouse vibe that feels bare and cold. The portions compared to prices were quite extreme. The wait for our food was also close to thirty minutes. We went up to the front to order pastries in the meantime and instead of letting us pay for them/ take it to our table, they had to plate them and bring them out a few minutes later, which i guess was fine - although unnecessary. The cookies looked and tasted very raw in the middle. My san pellegrino was $2 and the cup was so small it felt like i was served less than half a can. Overall i just was not impressed with the food, dessert or service and honestly would not return. We had to hunt down our waiter to pay because he was MIA the majority of our meal. The tables of other patrons who left before us were still full of their dirty fishes from when we said until we left 40 minutes later.

I really enjoy the different art gallery exhibits they have -- there's always something new and interesting to see. The variety of baked goods is amazing, and their cakes and cheesecakes are our favorites for family birthdays and special occasions!

Another awesome visit to Forty three bakery! Everything is awesome- also Picked up a few donuts and they almost didn't make it home! Service is awesome - Andi is always very helpful & informative and welcoming. Best place to come for the best treats and coffee!

I first found this bakery back when it was still called Streusel in a small shared kitchen, and even then their pastries stood out, beautifully flaky, rich with butter but never heavy. When they rebranded I worried a bit, so I was genuinely happy to see they've moved, kept the same owner, and are clearly doing well in their bright new space (though go early!things still sell out fast!). The croissants are still excellent, and the seasonal Autumn Burrata with squash, pumpkin seeds, and grapes was especially well balanced and delicious. So glad to see them thriving now.

Pappardelle was delicious. Best I've had in a really long time. Thick hand made pasta in a bolognese sauce. I will definitely be back for this dish. Salad was also good. Pastries looked a little dark so I was nervous that maybe they cooked too long, but I tried two and they both tasted great.

I love this place. It looks fairly new and it has a cool, industrial vibe. The coffee is very good and the service is friendly. It's just overall a great place. I like how they have the baked goods all out in front as if you're at someone's house. I had the breakfast pizza, but also had the opportunity to sample a few of the other baked goods. They were all decadent and delightful. The peach filled croissant doughnut was amazing. The next time I'm back in town, this stop is a must!

I got the soft scramble and it was delightful. The pumpkin chai latte made me want more for sure. Highly recommend their pastries too. I got the cinnamon roll and I've been back like 4x just for it!!

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, and from the inside it's got a rustic/warehouse feel to it-large open space and minimal decor with exposed brick. There's a display case of ready-made goodies or a modest menu that you can order from if you want something more substantial. Most of all, I appreciate that they are open on Sundays-my favorite day for a treat. There's lots of open seating and parking in the lot or on the street. So it's fairly accessible and easier to get into that some other downtown locations. Service is friendly-you order at the counter, they plate it up and you find a seat. Easy peasy. I recommend the fruit tart. I've seen many a tart in my days, but this one doesn't skimp on the fruit-there's a generous helping of berries on top. I'm excited to come back and try all the things.

One of my favorite bakeries for their extensive drink menu and of course baked goods. What also sets it apart from other bakeries is the fact the bakery is huge with plenty of seating and stays open all day long. This is great if you need a pick me up in the middle of the afternoon when most other bakeries are closed. The owner is also often here which is nice to see how committed he is. Come support this local bakery or consider it for your next event as they do have event space for rent!

Such a cute spot with very kind staff! The brunch service was good, though the food seemed a little under-seasoned. Overall though, it was still fresh and tasty and I'll definitely come back. The pastries were all great as well and worth the trip.

Absolute gem of a bakery! First of all, the best things sell out early in the morning and early afternoon, so for the best selection either come early or pre-order online! You'll find an assortment of goods here including croissant donuts, croissants, danishes, brunch plates, tartlets, unique teas and coffee drinks, bagels, and more! This place stands out for their special filled pastries though by far. You literally won't find as great of quality elsewhere for these! Some of my favorites are not always available since the menu rotates frequently. Get these if you see them: the blackberry lavender croissant donut, most of the filled croissants, the vanilla bean glazed pull a part, and the cinnamon croissant donut. The blackberry croissant donut aka The Avenues is phenonenal. They make different special filled croissant specials that will vary, but the raspberry one is one of my top faves as well. One month they created a kouign amann filled with passionfruit curd that was truly delightful. Love how they mix it up and bring in new recipes all the time! This is a must check out bakery, be sure to go early for the full selection and check their IG stories for updates on new menu additions. The bakery itself is huge and spacious as well, great spot to meet friends for a casual brunch or hang out solo.

Good vibes, knowledgeable baristas and service staff, delicious food! Absolutely amazing place for brunch or coffees. The music and atmosphere aren't too loud so you could easily work or study. The only issue is with the parking/outdoor space. If you can't find a spot in the lot then there's street parking and a lot of vagrants nearby. I'm a little apprehensive leaving my car too long out of view.

This industrial themed bakery was great! Relatively fast service too! We got the Chef's Choice Pastry and the Smoked salmon toast. The toast was to die for and the pastry was great too!

We do enjoy their pastries, and look forward to trying their new food menu! We bought the blueberry muffin yesterday. It tasted great just missing a little...

I remember visiting them when they worked out of the ghost kitchen and they've done a great job upgrading to this amazing space in Salt Lake! The new space has so much room and a great place to hang out and chat/work/enjoy their delicious pastries and drinks. Don't skip on any of their pastries, they are ALL good, buuuut my favorite has to be the croissant donut. I also ordered the olive oil cake from them and it was one of the best olive oil cakes I've had in a while. Can't wait to go back!

I've been a big fan of Forty Three Bakery and was excited when they opened this beautiful, massive space. Their pastries are top notch. There are always a number of items on rotation and I mean it when I say nothing misses. I've only had a few of their drinks off their menu and I've been less pleased with those, so I only run with their great pastries. Highly recommend!

The service was amazing (shout out to our server, Joey!) and the bison pasta was delicious.

Seriously a diamond in the rough! It's always relatively quiet, never too crowded (they have lots of variety of seating), fast WiFi and some seriously good coffee and food! I am consistently surprised and pleased each time I try something new.

$6 for a slice of lemon poppy bread. Then they ask for a tip. Get over yourselves. The slice was mediocre at best.

I really wanted more sweets before I got back on my nutrition plan this past weekend. The place I originally wanted to try was closed Sunday, so I searched @yelp for places close by and/or open close to home and came across @fortythreebakery . So on a whim, I came in. The space was huge, open and had a modern, industrial type vibe. Most of the desserts were sold out due to a vendor show they hosted earlier in the day. I had eyed the cakes, but didn't want to take the whole thing home. I settled for a cappuccino and espresso shortbread (I loved that it was softer shortbread). There was a lady there with her daughter. As she was getting ready to head out, she mentioned the cake too. We had suggested maybe they sell it by the piece! Somehow we brought up the idea of splitting it! So if they had allowed us to do so, I would totally split it with her! It made for a fun story and moment. It made for a memorable Sunday! And hopefully I'll run into Jessi again.

Forty Three Bakery continues to impress. Everything on their menu is exquisite and beautiful, the space is cozy yet sociable, and the service is great. The best pastries in Salt Lake, too!

I bought a cake from Forty Three Bakery online, and even called to confirm it. On the day of the pickup I called before going over - they can't find the cake. They tell me that 'someone should have called me' and that they don't make that cake anymore. They had already charged my credit card. I had to ask them to refund it, and no one contacted me. I was left without a cake for my nieces birthday party. Don't trust this bakery to make an ahead of time order.

Beautiful little place in the most unsuspecting part of town. The inside was done so well in this old building, the smells from the fresh baked pastries are fantastic, Both our donut and Danish were great. Americano was a little dark for our liking but still not bad at all. Everyone should try this place.

I have been frequenting this bakery since their earlier days at the shared kitchen. I love the new space! It's large, open and welcoming. What a great addition to the neighborhood. All of the employees are kind and helpful. The pastries are top notch! I always purchase extras because I know I will want more. Everything is fresh and don't miss out on the specials. That triple Berry danish was so good. Tart berries, frangipane buttery layers. I also randomly picked up some brown butter blondies and too be honest these are easily my next addiction! Trust me just go!

I love seeing more bakeries show up and be successful. I don't have the full chronology exactly right, but this bakery has been building steam for years as a farmers market pop-up, did some wholesale kind of orders, and just under a year ago finally opened up a brick-and-mortal retail spot under the name Forty Three Bakery. I popped in from the north, and wouldn't have believed it if the GPS didn't take me right here. The actual entrance is on the south, but you can go through the large group space on the north, up the corridor past the open kitchen, and to the bakery case and order counter. It looks like they are all about community, as I saw some non-food vendors (soaps, maybe) setting up small pop-ups in the building. They had posters for an upcoming community event, and this is exactly the kind of thing you'd hope to see in a neighborhood bakery. I grabbed a chocolate croissant as a gift on the recommendation of the fella at the counter. They wrap it in a nice box with a lil sticker, and it was very well received. The case was full of lots and lots of tempting items, so you could for sure come back for treats multiple times, or come for something more substantial on another visit. There's plenty of room to grab a table to hang and catch up with friends.

Love the vibe, open, clean, industrial interior. Love their sandwiches. The pastries are to die for. Cronuts are huge. They are fluffy, and chewy. They have the layers like the croissant, but light as donuts. The brioche buns are good, too. It might look a bit darker on the outside, but that thing is dangerous, I ate 2 in one day without realizing ...

The twice baked almond croissant is to died for. Damn! It's so delicious. It's crunch outside and pretty soft inside. I don't know how long they put it out but I didn't even ask them to warm it up, it tasted so damn good!

This place is so spacious and cute. They have so much space to hang out and relax, read, study, or play any of the board games they have stocked. The coffee is great and the pastries are even better. Would like to go back and try more of the menu!

My husband got the bison pasta ragu which was.... One of the most incredible pastas I've ever had in my life. I got the potato pave which was ok. The side of wild mushrooms was really nice. We got three pastries none of which were really fabulous but I would come back for that pasta and to try any other pastas. I'm also very curious about the pizzas. One day, we shall return. The atmosphere is really trendy and beautiful. The murals and plants give it a really nice vibe. Great space for lunch.

The space is FANTASTIC and the bakery is so yummy. You walk in and you get hit with a whiff of deliciousness. We loved the double baked chocolate almond croissant. Others love the vanilla pull apart but we didnt love it. It's a great place to work and hang with friends

One of my favorite bakeries in Salt Lake City! Forty Three Bakery is located in ComComKitchen near the Ballpark. Local foodies posted about Forty Three Bakery's Easter specials so you know I had to stop by. I chose their special Strawberry Pistachio Croissant Donut. It looked so beautiful and tasted amazing - sweet, fruity, and fluffy. Forty Three Bakery has converted me to a croissant donut fan! Their staff is quick, kind, and happy to help. I'm excited to see how their bakery grows in the future; I believe they're moving to a forever home soon and I can't wait to support them there!

What a treat to have such an amazing bakery/patisserie so close to our home! I went in while driving home from the local Costco and the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful with navigating such a plentiful spread in the bakery case. The cute girl behind the counter recommended the pecan sticky bun, cinnamon roll, chocolate almond croissant, and raspberry and cream danish. I ended up picking up a vanilla bean-glazed pull apart (which is made with croissant pieces, cinnamon, and cardamom) and a tomato and pesto danish & we were blown away by both! They were perfectly cooked and the sweet and savory flavors were so well-balanced for each item. They were also perfect shareable style treats-especially the pull a part with glazed bits in every nook and cranny. This is the kind of small business that is so worthy of support-artisans working hard to create incredibly delicious and hand-crafted items. This is going to be my go-to spot for birthday treats for friends, visitors, and special occasions moving forward. If you're considering stopping by Forty Three Bakery, do yourself a favor and just go! :)

This is an upscale bakery and it's beautiful! So much seating and it's very open. The baked goods are so delicious and high quality. I never would have known this place was where it is unless I had looked on Google maps. The servers were so professional and genuinely nice. I had a hazelnut flavored latte and it was perfectly balanced! I will be a customer for life!

I remember Forty Three Bakery when it used to be on 1300 S, and I love that they moved into a larger space! The inside is gorgeous. It's huge! So much seating and really cute lounging area. It is right next to Glow (spa), so definitely get treats here before going. I love the croissants. Friendly and attentive staff. Please please please check this place out for the food and treats. You won't be disappointed!

I came here to try the hot chocolate after seeing it featured in the salt lake tribune and it did not disappoint! It was the perfect amount of sweet and rich without being too much. The space is very large and a great spot to meet with friends! I wish there were more outlets as I'd love to come study here. I didn't get a chance to try their pastries but I will 100% be back!

Travel with friends to Utah, one of our friends found this bakery. We each other one dish to share, can't believe food was so delicious!

Outlets and stevia. There are two things that are noticeably missing from this welcoming industrial space. The customer service is super friendly and warm and the pastries are delicious. The lunch menu is extremely limited to three items so don't plan on coming here for lunch. There are also next to no outlets so don't plan on coming here to do your work. There're two in the whole place that I can count. Still, love the ambience, the classic tunes and the airiness. Now just add a coffee station to mix your own sugar subs and cream, a few more outlets and some cushions for the metal seats and you'll be rocking and rolling.

The pastries here are AMAZING. The prices are also pretty great. We went at around 8am on a Friday and were able to enjoy some pastries that were fresh out of the oven and still fresh. YUM. We also enjoyed some lattes and got to buy a bag of day-old pastries ($6 for 6 pastries, what a great deal!). Pro tip-- put the bag of day-old pastries in the fridge when you get home, and when you feel like having one, warm it up in the oven at 350-375 degrees, and then it'll taste fresh baked again. This allowed us to enjoy the pastries for many days. The location is away from most areas that you can walk to (just west of I-15), but it was not sketch once you were there. The building was quite cool -- industrial style, very clean, cute decor, plenty of seating, and they have a large bakery area because they distribute to coffee shops and such. As for service, the people working there were SO nice. They were so patient with our indecisiveness and explained all the different items so nicely. We will definitely also be back for brunch, because apparently it's really yummy and the prices are super reasonable.

Service was good. These pastries unfortunately did not cut it. The blackberry cheesecake was the best of the two but the pull apart was nearly inedible; so so stale and dense. The glaze was so thick. It was comparable to a plastic wrapped pastry you can get at a gas station. The worst part of both of them was they were cold. I am surprised it isn't normal protocol to warm them up before a sale.

What a pleasure to see this small venture grow up into a vibrant, successful full-fledged business! Starting at the Downtown Farmers' Market, Andrew Corrao began a tiny baking business (then called Streusel) that always exuded quality and craftsmanship. Fast forward five-ish years later, and he's grown his business into a gleaming new stand-alone building in a modern business development (West End) tucked away near 700 W and 900 S. On offer are about a dozen pastry selections (croissants, danishes, kouign amann) and a small menu of savory hot items (Benedicts, egg sandwiches and toasts). Additionally, there are brioche buns, coffee cake and challah for sale. Throw in a coffee bar and you have all the makings for a wonderful breakfast! There is lots of seating in the bright, airy space and a large outdoor area where you can bask in the sun and take in views of both the Wasatch and the Oquirrh ranges. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent private lot and in the neighborhood.
