"Shaking the Stress Away in Somiedo National Park It’s hard to believe this is still Spain , upon arriving in Somiedo you are transported to another world. Somiedo National Park is one of the natural gems of this country; offering contrasting landscapes: pristine mountains lush with foliage, crystal blue lake and trails that make you feel as though you’re walking in Austria . For a glimpse into the real beauty of Spain, look no further than this National Park! If you are looking to prolong your stay and relish the real unchained life, rent a rural house and stay overnight here! I stayed in La Pinietsa and felt myself peeling away the layers of stress, inhaling the tranquility. Photo by ignorant walking/Flickr ."

We have visited at the end of October 😇 we were probably the only people other than another couple we saw on the way there 😊 we were experiencing the rain during most of the day but as we have expected it we were very much prepared. The walk is easy and picturesque so you should expect to stop a few times in order to take photos and videos which may prolong the journey. Except to encounter numerous horses 🐴, cows 🐄 and other animals including birds and dogs 🐕 there’s two ways to take one is a “sunny” road and another is a “shady” one, meaning if you take the second you will walk under trees and the first will be more exposed. If you want to see more animals take the “sunny” route.

A long drive along a very narrow mountain valley road to get there but worth it.

I have been hiking close to the Lago del Valle. I easily can say that was on my Top 10 Hikes ever! Such beauty! I am still all in aww. You will get to see a lot of mountains both close by and in the background. You will have lakes as well as you have nature itself. If you pay attention you will find lots of birds, lizards and insects. And I might have been lucky - only few humans. You easily get the chance to forget civilization as only very view buildings spoil the view and you not even have reception for most of the time.

The most stunning area in Asturias; you can easily spend 2 to 3 days exploring the beauty of Somiedo with many hiking routes and epic nature.

It was a pretty nice park, the games were hard as it was the 50th but I easily won, this is me and my teammate at the park

This Natural Park sold their nature to Netflix resulting in many many cars on small roads and hiking trails. We left after one day.
