"Not Your Average Joe Cesar Manrique is the pride and soul of the island of Lanzarote. This local artist's influence can be seen throughout the character and construction of the island (he imposed the white building design regulations). Built in 1966 upon his return from NYC, Manrique spawned this 3,000m house inside a defunct volcano. By Lauren Heineck"

This place is absolutely stunning, we just kept saying wow wow wow when we visited. Such a special and interesting piece of architecture, would really recommend to visit. The gardens are also magnificent. Plan to spend about 1 hour. Easy free parking. They also have a small coffee shop with some snacks. We bought the combined ticket, you can visit the other house within 15 days of your visit here. The 10 eur tickets is definitely worth the price (17 eur for the combined ticket).

Had a lovely walk into the Cesar Manrique Foundation this morning, his first house. Very interesting site where you can learn the history of Cesar and how he contributed to the island!

The ticket is 10€/person. You see one of the iconic person on the island. You kinda see his house, and what he did (from arhitecture to paintings). Good place to have a look if you are interested in that kind of things.

Makes for an interesting visit, getting a chance to look at how the artist lived here before he moved to his new mansion in Haría. The house is very spacious and looks very relaxing. However, with 10€ entrance charge (for non-residents) it's a little overpriced.

This is a very interesting place to learn about César Manrique, his life and what he did to protect Lanzarote. We visited as part of a larger tour around César Manriques life, which is very interesting.

Well with the entry price of €10. Wasn't really familiar with the work of Manrique, as it's my first time in Lanzarote. This was a great introduction. Once you've been you start to notice his influence all over the islands! Must have been a beautiful house and had been sympathetically converted for the Foundation's purposes, without losing any of its former impact.

Fantastic place to visit, a 70s throwback house in lava bubbles! Some amazing artwork too.
