Gold Reef City Theme Park

This theme park is the best ever. I can never get use to it. Since I was a kid. Even now. The anaconda ride is my all time favorite. You can never get bored here. Fun for the whole family. A wholesome day.

44 possible rides, all rides included and 21 closed. 2 hours waiting in queues, obviously allowing to many people in. Not wheelchair friendly. I have a big chair for uneven gravel, I am very fortunate it worked. Wheelchair assessable restrooms only at certain pints, do you'd better hold it till you find one. On your birthday, don't pay for the ticket We did, as there is no option to exclude the birthday person, and when we got there to fix it, they told us they cannot fix it. We should've known. We did 5 rides in 7 hours, that's it. Is there plus points? I don't think so. Oh wait, the one restroom for wheelchair assesablity was clean and set up.for our use. That was nice. We got there just after 8, and still waited over 30min to get in. We went in January, but the queues were really really long. You need to drink a lot, don't buy drinks right at the front. Try get to the Town Square . As someone who is very ill, I had to get fluids in as soon as I got through the gates. The front shops are very overpriced. R20 for water. There is a lovely Panarotid for food and drinks. Much more affordable. They are in the Town Square. I couldn't get a refund for my birthday. I bought tickets online and didn't know I must just go there. Had all my documentation with me, but they refused to help. I am very disappointed with this experience. The staff is very nice, but so many rides closed and rusted. Not maintained. And going on a wheelchair through the park is extremely difficult. It's uneven, loose paving and very steep ups and downs.

There is something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for a fun-filled family outing. In addition, the park has lovely restaurants and food options, catering to different tastes and providing great places to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, this amusement park is clean, well-organised, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to families and anyone looking for a memorable day out.

Great place for the family to have a really fun time together. My boys 12 and 13 absolutely loved it !! Great price as well, such good value for money. For the same price as a 3D movie + Popcorn you get 8 hours of fun and excitement. You can arrive at 8.45 am make sure you buy your tickets online before you arrive ( easiest online experience you could ever ask for.) and stay until 16h45 when the last rides finish.

It was a great day out. Not cheap but the rides were good. Food affordable and the kids loved every second being there. Still so much to do. Will take another 3 visits to see all the main attractions. And more to see once that is done. Glad to see the gold pour is back.

Gold Reef City is actually a lot of fun. The rides are both scary and exciting my wife and I went on my birthday and had a great time. The only issue is the queues. We waited over an hour just to get on the Anaconda, and most of the other rides had waiting times of 30 minutes or more. The place is also a maze. It’s very easy to get lost, and when it’s packed, you can easily lose track of your little ones. It’s also quite expensive the food inside is definitely overpriced but overall, the experience is worth it.

Myself and team had a wonderful experience during the Stranger Things season 5 event. So well done and loved it regardless of the weather. Unfortunately we didn’t see all the awesome that the Saturday crew experienced and that was sad. Also some rides closed at 4:30pm and not 5pm which was weird and unfortunate. Along with not having access to the arcade. I will say the security staff at entrance gate was tops as they really looked after you g females waiting on transportation at night. Well done 🤩 ( special female security guard 🫶). Other than the event, I am pleasantly surprised how this theme park has changed and improved. Keep it up 🙌
