Prince of Whales Whale & Marine Wildlife Adventures Victoria

Had a fantastic afternoon with Prince of Whales! The rest of my crew went to the gardens and high tea, but I got a ticket for a Prince of Whales tour, and it exceeded my expectations. We saw Minke, Orca and Humpback whales, along with a ton of sea lions and some sheep! The naturalists onboard (Janae, Megan and Eden) were super knowledgeable and friendly, excited to answer any questions. First Mate Sandy was really great, too, and pointed my lens towards interesting things several times. And Captain Richard handled the boat very well, taking us close (but not too close) to whale locations. I was just on an 11-day Alaska cruise, and this was the best thing I did! I highly recommend Prince of Whales. It was also the least expensive excursion I took; a real bargain! Thank you very much.

This is a must try if you spending some time in Victoria! We went on a Caterham boat 🚢. It between 3 to 4 hours whale tour. You can also choose the speed boat looking boats also if you are the adventurous type! Reid and Megan were very knowledgeable about the animals we encountered. We saw hump back whales, California seal lions and harbor seals. We found it easiest to book online compared to by the boat kiosk. They also take tons of pictures so you can just enjoy the ride without worrying about taking pics. They seems like their the only company to offer this. It makes experience relaxing.

What an incredible experience! Our tour guide, Mark, was extremely knowledgeable and kept us informed and engaged throughout the entire tour. We saw at least 20 different humpback whales, many of them surfacing close together, which made for an unforgettable sight. In addition to the whales, we spotted Steller sea lions, harbour seals, and even bald eagles. Prince of Whales provided insulated jumpsuits, tuques, and gloves—all essential for the crisp morning air. The gear kept us warm and comfortable, allowing us to focus fully on the wildlife. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. A truly memorable adventure!

Our trip surpassed our expectations in every way. The staff was very polished, Kudos to Francois, Taylor, Meagan, Reid, and Michael. Felt like we knew them all. Even the intro safety spiel was fun. Beautiful heated boat and hot chocolate. A really great day!

This was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. I was hoping to see Humpback Whales and Prince of Whales did not disappoint. We saw many Humpbacks and then an Orca (Janet Nielson) showed up and it was like a Christmas miracle (he's rarely seen). The crew (Megan and Janae) were informative and knowledgable and Michael provided fabulous pictures afterward (included with the price of the trip). A must see and do when visiting Victoria. PS Captain Richard and First Mate Sandy did a great job too.

As a tourist who came first time in my life to see the whales… WOW! The whole team made an amazing experience for all the people on a boat. Gord, Taylor , Michael, Reid and Megan- you are the best!

We had an incredible experience with Prince of Whales. The boat had plenty of room and space to sit and get out of the weather. We saw about 5 orcas and 6 or 7 humpback getting as close as was allowed. They have a photographer on board that takes pictures and provides them to you free of charge. The crew was fantastic and they are really good about educating and answering questions. I highly recommend this excursion. Crew: Francois, Taylor, Jamie, Reid, and Maddie

My husband and I did a whale watching tour on our honeymoon!! The trip was amazing 🤩!! The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!! I was unable to bring my wheelchair on board, but they helped me navigate the steps where needed. Captain Francois, First mate Taylor, and Naturalists Reid, Jessy and Michael. I found a good viewpoint on the metal steps to the top deck. Jessy brought me a blanket to sit on so my bum wouldn’t be cold.
