Les Gourmets des Ternes

One of my absolute favorite spots for a great meat experience & a true little gem in Ternes! Jean-François the owner is a legend, and the waiters are part of the soul of the place: welcoming, attentive, and witty. Even with new management for almost a year and a half now, the quality remains as exceptional as ever. This time I tried the snails (excellent!), and their bœuf bourguignon is hands down one of the best in Paris. A true must-go whether you’re visiting the city or lucky enough to live here 🇫🇷✨

This place has been my go-to spot for meat for as long as I can remember. Their pièce de bœuf (sauce au poivre) is always divine, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor every single time. Their sauce vinaigrette - that you pair with both the poireau and the lentil salad - is the best one I’ve had, been trying to crack this recipe for years. Don’t forget to order the poilée au cèpes! And don’t skip dessert: the baba au rhum, which you get to prepare yourself (with rhum, cream and strawberry coulis) makes for the perfect finishing touch.

My second Distinguished place here in this city. In all aspects by all means, The service was excellent and above expectations. Good as well and the recommendations from Mr. Denis, was indeed so perfect. Food platter was my second favorite thing to have in this place. I’ve been thinking 💭 why is there so many celebrates that have been to this restaurant. And you may see there pictures in all the walls of this place. One more thing must have the cake 🍰 that they have. Was a pice of dream. My thanks as well for Mr. Sevan, whom was taking care of our table as well. My special gratitude to the entire team members. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant. I wanted to see how the Bœf Bourguignon compared to other local Parisian restaurants. Their "Bourguignon au Vieux Vin", hands down beats the competition! The sauce was delicious and included carrots and mushrooms; the beef was very tender and lean. My wife ordered the special of the day "Blanquette de Veau a l'Ancienne" which she also thought was very delicious. She stated that her veal was also lean and of great quality. Their portions are generous. I wanted to mention that my wife started her meal by ordering the "Salade d'Endives au bleu et noix"; the endives were very fresh and the presentation of the dish with the cheese and walnuts made it very appealing and delicious looking. I started with the œfs mayonnaise and they were also very good. Service was efficient and not rushed. We paired our meal with a bottle of 2020 Morgon. Overall a great experience and one we may want to experience again if we happen to be in the area!

This place is a temple for meat lovers and has been since 1962. The food is amazing, the staff is genuine and good hearted but can be rough for the faint hearted. If you want a true Parisian experience: this is it ! If not, stay home !

Exceptionally good food with really nice staff. Get there early if you want a table. We tried the Foie, Marrow, Steak, Frites, Esscargot, and that amazing looking desert thing. Wonderful. Bring two packs of cigarettes if you want to be French for an evening. Also, remember to order three bottles of wine. 🍷 🍖 🐌 🦢 (close enough)

Not the first time and surely not the last time. The food was excellent, a simple fond d’artichaud gets a different meaning wth the fabulous homemade vinaigrette. The scallops and the fish of the day were delicious and the tartare and fries to die for. Finishing the meal with a table prepared Baba au Rhum is a must. The whole meal served with attention and fun in a great friendly ambiance. Thank you for adapting to our various changes of number and timing of reservation. Till next time

Dishonest business despite good food and vibes. We came as a group and got the « group menu » which was sold as a good deal. As a result, we were charged 2-3x more per dish than if we’d ordered it individually on the menu. Disappointing ending to a good night, they should do better.
