we were looking for a last minute place to eat on valentines day weekend and found this place luckily: insane wine selection with such great food and a fun and knowledgeable staff. We had the oyster mushroom, the risotto and the pork and everything was nothing short of delicious (especially the mushroom!!!) I can only recommend it.

Amazing bistro/tapas bar. Great wine selection. The food is exquisite. Service is impeccable! Really amazing hidden gem in the city! Would highly recommend for anyone to visit!

Great selection of wine at very good prices. Didn’t get to try much of the food, but the charcuterie, cheese, and green pea risotto were super nice complements to the wine I had. Servers were very nice and fun to talk to. The place has a cute design albeit a little simple. They had a nice long table that you probably could book downstairs in the cellar (or maybe they hold events/tastings there?) Overall, great dining and drinking experience. Great location too!

Bar Vin is so good, my friend and I came back twice during our three day visit to CPH because we couldn’t stop talking about it. For lunch we each got a smørrbord and sampled some wines, then went back for a late dinner where we tried the mushroom risotto. The grilled bread and comte cheese were excellent to snack on while waiting for our mains. Shout out to Alexander who took care of us both times!! We will be back!

Fantastic wine bar! The wine selection (both bottles and glasses) is very impressive and reasonably priced. The food is simply excellent, much better than in most mid-level restaurants in Copenhagen. The service is very kind, open and inviting. We ended up going there for 3 straight nights and this place quickly became our favourite wine destination in Denmark.

A small, modern yet inviting space with an abundance of wine shelves, a charming French waiter, and apparently quite popular with the locals. We started off with their ‘bitter salad’ with olives, Marcona almonds, pecorino, and I swear I detected a lil hint of anchovies in the dressing and grilled duck hearts with chimichurri bc DUCK HEARTS. They were so good we ordered another portion. We then split the sweetbreads bc SWEETBREADS with ‘heart salad, crispy bread & watercress,’ which were good, but a bit skimpy on the sweetbreads. I’m also not fond of too much breading, and these were overwhelmed by it. Probably our least favorite dish. The beef tartare, OTOH, was delightful, with pickled beech mushrooms, espelette, capers, and watercress. Our final dish was the catch of the day, mullet with spring vegetables (wonderfully charred spring onions), mussels & mussel sauce. All the sauces were sop-up-worthy, and I felt positively stuffed after all that food. A bit of a splurge, but worth it.

I truly enjoyed this wine bar in Copenhagen! The food was fantastic, and my favourite part was their comte cheese. It was melting in the mouth, best one I’ve ever had. The wine was also great, and they obviously know their wines. The people working there were helpful, however it was tricky to get their attention. Multiple times we had to almost stare them down for them to see us and even then it felt like they just looked away.

Excellent risotto and wine pairing. Their dessert is also so good. Apple crisp. Yummy.

I feel like I went to a different restaurant than others. It's probably a great place if you wanna relax and have wine, but if you aren't drinking w your dinner I wouldn't bother. Slow service (not enough waiters). I got the risotto and my husband got mussels. Both were underwhelming. And while everything in Denmark is overpriced in comparison to US - this is the only time I felt like the food quality was significantly lagging for the price.

Tried the place on 5/9/18 on our arrival to Copenhagen as we were tired and wanted a place close to our apartment that we rented. They had good reviews on Yelp and so we figured we would give it a try. They had a nice selection of wines and we ordered a charcuterie platter to start that came with four different cured meats, olives, pickles and Marcona almonds. We then got another appetizer of small bay shrimp that came with fresh dill, grilled bread and creamy mayonnaise. Finally, we got a large bucket of mussels cooks in a white wine sauce. The food and wine were good and they certainly gave you a good portion.

The affordable, good food restaurant you've been looking for down town Copenhagen. Not fancy, but I wouldn't want it to be. Staff was really, really friendly. We had two times the mackerel. Could have had slightly shorter time in the pan, but was still utterly delicious.

This is my guilty pleasure because it was in Copenhagen for business without my spouse and had the best experience at barvin. Not because of that but because the wine, champagne, food and service were not like anything I've ever experienced. Please go here if you are in Copenhagen

We came here for dinner our first night in Copenhagen. There were plenty of seats and we sat outside because we had lovely weather. Our server was attentive and really knew her wines. We order sardines, brandade, and carpaccio, which was delicious. Our main was mussels, and plenty of them. Overall, food was good, but not memorable. Very expensive for what it is, our bill was over $200.

I would not be exaggerating to say that this is by far one of my favorite places in the city to eat. It's small, cozy, and tucked away. You would never guess what food, wine and passion lies behind these doors. The owner Nils has so much passion and love for food and wine, and it shows. The simple design and interior lets you focus on what's the most important..the company and the meal. The employees are very accommodating, and know their stuff. I usually begin with the mussels, move onto the Cote de Bof, and then try a desert, I also trust Nils to pick a wine that always compliments the meal perfectly... And of COURSE..I believe the olive oil they serve with the bread is some of the best I have ever tasted. Hands down. Give this place a try... you won't regret it!

Qualifier-- we are from Southern California so all the food in Europe taste better. We consider ourselves foodies and frequent many of the Orange County new, progressive gastropubs. With that, Bar'vin still exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was prompt and friendly. The facilities were cozy and very clean. Love the downstairs area for wine classes and toilets. The food was outstanding. The menu and description doesn't do the food justice in describing the taste. The wines were all really good. There was one person, I think he was the owner, who knew his wine and could offer pairing suggestions. I didn't ask; luckily or by design, all the wines I ordered paired superbly. Glad we found this place based on Yelper reviews. The downtown area of Copenhagen is teaming with great restaurants.

Such a wonderful and warm place. Great wine list and even better food. Loved our meal here on the set menu - the soup was my favorite !

Low key and top quality produce and wine. Try the steak tartare, out of this world. One of the better places for lunch in town. Food is a blend of classic French/Italian with slight Danish twist.

The food was hearty and delicious. The waiter was very nice and had good suggestions. Dinner here was incredibly enjoyable.

A 5 star is not high enough to reflect the exyroadinary dinning experience. This is a foodies paradise. The staff are very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable of every aspect of the menu. The wine pairings were perfect.

Went here for dinner with a work colleague. Excellent place - food was fantastic and the waiter paired it with some great wine. And the bill was very reasonable for Copenhagen. Highly recommend it!
