"Norwegian Fjord (Nærøyfjord) You can cruise the fjords by either going on the " Norway in a Nutshell" tour or doing it on your own. Getting to the fjords isn’t as easy you think. You need to take a series of trains, buses and ferries. After a lot of research, I found that the easiest way is to take the “Norway in a Nutshell” tour. This tour is a series of well-organized connections from Oslo to Bergen (and back) via rail, bus and ferry. Along the way, you will take a train halfway across a mountain, then ride the Flamsbana train down to the Sognefjord for a ferry ride thru 2 off-shoot fjords (Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord). There are also other city & fjord combinations (for more information, check out Fjord Tours). You can buy your ticket directly from Fjord Tours or at the train stations. One of the great things about this tour is that if one segment is delayed, your next segment will wait as they are all connected. Since we are short on time, we decided to do the roundtrip tour from Oslo to Bergen…which was 22 hours long! During the summer, you have more options for a shorter tour. By Nichole Pitts"

The elect boat tour is probably the best way to see the Aurlandfjord and Noroyfjord. Catch either one-way ride from Flam to Gudvangen or vice-versa then bus back to the parking. What's a magnificent view!

This fjord tour was the best thing we did in Norway! Do not miss this opportunity. There were plenty of waterfalls and beautiful cliff sides. We also saw several dolphins. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

We had an amazing view of the NaeroyFjord and surrounding mountains. We were told that it is remarkable that there is still a lot of snow in the mountains. It is very breezy and please wear warm clothing and watch out your hat due to strong wind even its Spring time (visited on 13th May 2023, Saturday and this is the first Fjord that we have visited). It's highly recommended that you don't miss it.

Take a canoe and paddle down the Næroyfjord. Discover waterfalls that are not accessible by roads. Picnic on the green pasture by the pebble shores. The water is calm and water traffic is minimal compared the neighbouring arms. Rare a Unesco heritage site not swarmed by mass tourism.

Næroyfjord is the most beautiful and wildest arm of the Sognefjord is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Fjord cruises in unique setting, with sheer, snow-topped mountains, waterfalls and idyllic farms clinging to the mountainsides. The Nærøyfjord is 17 km long and the narrowest point is only 250 m wide. The passage through Nærøyfjord is one of the most dramatic fjord trips in Europe. There is a passenger boat between Gudvangen-Aurland-Flåm is running all year. The steepness and ruggedness of the mountain terrain is spectacular. However the most impressive part is the serenity of being on the water and observing nature. This fjord can be easily reached from Flam, and if you are going to Gudvangen by ferry or bots, then you will pass through it. This fjord is also popular with campers and recreational users of the fjord including kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders. As per my experience, the best time to enjoy the pure nature is early in the morning or in the late evening when the water is most stable and there is no boat or cruise. At that time, we can see the perfect reflections of all green mountains in the water. Everyone can feel this fact through my pictures and videos of this spot.

Nærøyfjord deserves to be noted as a UNESCO world heritage site. We have chosen « The fjords » company and its electric catamaran for a cruise to Flam.  Despite a continuous rain, it was a memorable experience.
