Run, don't walk to Maximes if you haven't been before! Came here because we were going to go to another restaurant nearby but decided to peek in to the spot formerly occupied by shouk, and boy am I glad I stopped in!
From start to finish, from the manager on the door, to our Server Jamal, to Nader the GM, and if I thought the service was good, the food was the true show stopper.
From the seabass, to the hamachi, to the rock shrimp, to the baked alaska, every dish SCREAMED flavour, our server Jamal was kind enough to course out everything and timed everything perfectly, by the time the first dish was done, the second one arrived, and so followed for all 12 dishes we ordered including dessert.
Atmosphere was bumpin on a Tuesday night, but lively enough that I could still hear my partner across the table, open concept kitchen was very cool seeing everyone work hard on the dishes that we would receive momentarily. Can't WAIT to try out their brunch on the weekend as I hear (however impossible it is) that its even better than the dinner!
