The best chocolate I ever had! New in Amsterdam is Cardinal Chocolaterie, a small and beautiful chocolate shop. Located in the Utrechtsestraat, a street known for the growing number of artisan shops, Cardinal fits right in. The first thing you notice when you walk by their store is that they prepare their chocolate on the spot. Everything! This means you get everything fresh. Now let’s talk about their chocolate. They claim to use the finest ingredients. I’m convinced because their chocolate is the best I ever had. They have a range of different pralines, all original and surprising. The thing is, you actually taste the ingredients, something that is rare in the world of pralines nowadays. They also offer chocolate sheets. The sheets are thin and packed with taste. Besides that they have other unexpected chocolate based goodies. Can’t wait to go back and try them all.

My brother and I stumbled upon this store and was met with a delightful smell of chocolate the moment we stepped in. We truly appreciate Amir’s service! He was super patient and kind, letting us try different types of chocolate. We bought the chocolate sheets and small bags of chocolate! Highly recommend the Gianduja chocolates. Their chocolates are made daily in store, very impressive! Thank you Amir once again for your hospitality and excellent service.

What a beautiful place! Hand made chocolate (the chocolatier is making it just in front of the vitrine!), amazing combinations of flavors, big choice, pleasant price & great atmosphere! Must visit place when you are in Amsterdam!

A hidden gem for any chocolate lover! This shop produces incredible handcrafted pralines that you can tell are made with love and precision. The variety of flavors is impressive—ranging from timeless classics to creative new pairings. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They are so warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain the different fillings to every customer. It feels like visiting a friend's home rather than just a store. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this little heaven by chance today and I am so glad about it. I got a box of four and I just tried these chocolates and the first thing I wanted to do was to write them a review so here I am close to midnight trying to justice to the excellent bonbons. They were perfect in every way possible. They have a wide variety, the packaging is unique and the service is brilliant. I do not think I have ever felt so welcome anywhere else. Everything there is done with so much care. I will definitely be coming back for more, I just hope I can control myself from spending all my money here. I would rate it a 10/5 if I could because it’s so much better than all the other places I have rated with 5 stars, this one definitely raised my standards. Please do yourself a favour and visit!

These chocolates are my favorite that I have had - such unique and refined flavors. The packaging is stunning and would make a great gift to yourself or someone else. Also, the owner and his brother were such lovely people. I can’t recommend going enough.

The owners of the shop are such lovely people that will help you find the right chocolate that you desire. They make fresh chocolate each day right from the shop. I purchased two barks one day and had to come back the next for more. Love this place!!!
