"A Serene Chinese Garden on the Shores of Lake Zurich A gift from Zurich’s sister city Kunming and located on the lake near the Zurichhorn, the China Garden stands out with its emperor-red façade and gold ornamental roof. Inside, the serene oasis includes a pond lined with willows, a small island, multiple pavilions and a beautiful pagoda. The best time to visit is in the spring, when the delicate pink-and-white plum blossoms are in full bloom. Photo © Caroline Minjolle/Zürich Tourism."

Charming and peaceful place with a very cosy atmosphere. Though quite small, it is beautifully designed and well maintained, making it perfect for a short, relaxing walk. In winter it feels especially pleasant and quiet, with far fewer visitors, allowing you to truly enjoy the calm, details, and unique character of this lovely garden.

A very beautiful garden! I didn't expected to see this very beautiful garden in Zurich, but I am very glad thay I found it. And it was a unique idea, since I only saw Japanese gardens so far, but seeing a Chinese one was something totally different from me, I felt like I was in China for a short time. It was also pretty clean and amazing, so it is deffinetly worth visiting it if you are in Zurich!

This is a nice Chinese garden that was a gift from Zurich's sister city Kunming. It's a quiet, peaceful place and entry is free, which is great. Not too crowded with tourists, so you can actually enjoy it. Good spot for taking photos - lots of pretty scenery. The garden is mostly shaded, so it's perfect when it's hot outside and you want to cool down. If you want somewhere calm to walk around for free, this is a good choice. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Chinese Garden in Zurich is a hidden gem and a wonderful spot for a peaceful stroll. It’s not very large, but it’s beautifully designed with traditional Chinese architecture, a charming pond full of koi fish, and detailed pavilions that reflect Chinese culture and philosophy. The garden feels like a mini getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle. Entrance is affordable, and the place is usually calm and not too crowded. It’s ideal for taking a break, relaxing, or simply enjoying nature. However, it’s worth noting that the garden is only open seasonally, so it’s best to check the schedule in advance. Overall, it’s a lovely place for a short visit—especially if you appreciate gardens, art, or Eastern aesthetics.
