A Guide to Kingston, New York: The Quaint Hudson Valley Town Meant for Idyllic Fall Getaways | Vogue

"A variety of curated textiles, clothes, and kitchenware awaits here: plaid wool blankets lay among everything from Sea New York sweaters to copper pots and wooden candlesticks. It may seem like a wildly eclectic assortment, but it makes perfect sense once you are inside—everything fits in the Hudson Valley bucolic aesthetic. They also sell their own natural apothecary products." - Elise Taylor

Google
My go-to for fall gifting, inspiration, and cozy community. The team here at C&C is tireless in their support for small producers and makers. A must visit when in town!

Every time I visit Kingston I have to visit Clove and Creek. So much time and care goes into their chosen treasures. It’s a wonderful experience being in their store on your first visit or your tenth visit. 💛

Received an order from Clove & Creek a few hours ago. 5 stars all the way! There was a fragile item in the order I placed and it was packaged well and was very clear the people at Clove & Creek were careful and considerate when packing up my order. Thank you so much! Also within the order was the bathtub brush to clean the tub and that brush is well made and will definitely last ( well will definitely last if I take care of it the way I'm supposed to :) ) thank you Clove & Creek. I will definitely purchase from you all again. happy new customer here!

Google
Just an absolutely lovely store. The type of place where you can tell great thought has been put into selecting every piece, and where you can find amazing unique gifts for yourself or someone else.

Google
Great gem of a home goods and design store with fun, beautiful and useful objects. You'll be hard pressed to not walk out of here with something. Lots of local Hudson Valley and Catskill makers, too. Oh, and did I mention they have Parlor coffee? Love this spot.

Google
Really lovely little store. Great for gifts or maybe a treat for yourself? Amazing candles, smells, rustic Homegoods, nice books and general good vibes.

Yelp
Local shop with great selection of items. Make the effort to wander through the streets of this darling town.

Yelp
Cute spot for some specialty gifts. Mostly handmade, local designs. But some gorgeous imported goods as well. Very well curated.

Yelp
Cute store with very thoughtful curation, from books to bath towels to speciality pantry food items. However, I wish this general store would focus more on selling to the full-time, local residents. The objects and items in this store don't change often which makes it feel as if they are catering to second-home owners and tourists that do not need general home and bath items updated that frequently.

Yelp
Nice little shop with some beautiful Items. But be ready to pay up! Nothing is inexpensive. Having said that we did purchase a couple of fancy items for our new home!

Yelp
Simple coffees in a darling boutique. If you're unaware (as I was,) it's not a cafe with tables and seats. It's an adorable shop that makes great simple coffee. A gem of a place, I just wish they opened sooner. Had to choose a different cafe the morning we left town and was not nearly as impressed with the taste of the coffee. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was looking for a place to have great coffee and sit for a bit to plan the rest of the day. Unfortunately, that's not available here.

Yelp
Best gluten free egg sandwich I've ever had. Great coffee and neat little shop. Will be our go-to when in Kingston.

Yelp
My friends and I stumbled onto this cute place while visiting Kingston for the weekend. I'm so glad we did because not only did I get a really good iced coffee and some cute little things for my apartment, but also the guys who own the place gave us a bunch of helpful recommendations for how to spend the rest of our day. They were both so sweet.

Yelp
Lovely locally owned shop with a wide variety of gifts that are mostly handmade. I only went to the shop part since it was almost closing time. Great laid back vibe and friendly people. As the others have said, don't forget the coffee!

Yelp
Wonderful general store, and great addition to Kingston! So many interesting items to buy and books to browse, really love this store. They have THE BEST coffee!! Highly recommend for gifts and coffee!

Jamie K.

Yelp
Clove and Creek just renovated as of July '2017 and now it's double the size. So much more room to browse and so many new home goods to pine over. Even larger furniture items from local artisans. Still serving up great Parlour Coffee cold brew and pour overs. One of the best spots for gifts and beautiful home goods.

Yelp
A quaint housewares shop right in the heart of the waterfront district. This small ship offers some decent variety of many different home items. Need an enamel collider or dish ware? Or maybe some local cocktail mixers and bitters? Perhaps you need some fine lotions and soaps? If the answer to any of the previous questions is yes, then drop into Clove & Creek and see Scott. If you behave, he may even offer you some free coffee or tonic.

Yelp
Loved shopping in this perfectly curated store last weekend. Such a beautiful selection and I walked away with some gorgeous tea towels made by a NY designer. Wish we had more shops like this in Brooklyn, believe it or not. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Amazing place with lots of gift ideas. Friendly owner, and don't forget to get some coffee.

Yelp
Clove and Creek has always been amazing, and now that it's twice as big, it's even better. It's my go-to for gifts -- I did almost all my Christmas shopping here last year -- and every time I come in, I find something else intriguing. Ceramics, homegoods, Opinel knives, lanterns, cool editions of nature books, beautiful textiles, and hand-made jewelry (to name a few of the offerings) all brought together by the owner's amazing eye and flawless sensibility.

Yelp
Lovely shop here on the beautiful Rondout! Nicely curated gift shop. This friendly, charming place is filled with gifts - many locally handmade. I especially like their pottery selections (and my gift to myself, a raffia nested set of glasses - love them!) A great addition to this neighborhood.
