A'DAM Tower

A'DAM Tower is an excellent place to visit for a 360-degree view of Amsterdam. Great experience from entry, with good choices of activities (chargeable on a per-activity basis) and a combination ticket that includes a drink. Start by taking a picture, which generates an AI image and video. Lift for 100 meters, climbing with a digital display and music inside the lift for 20 seconds of enjoyment. Activities at the top level with a 360-degree view of Amsterdam, A'DAM Lookout Tower model and history in pictures and also a 10-minute video. Drinks and food, if opted for, a rooftop area for a swing, which is an excellent adventure and a lot of fun (though it's not my cup of tea). Good photo with the Horse and ADAM. Once get down again, you can see a digital display with the music to say goodbye. A good collection of momentos from a visit to the Adam Lookout Tower. Visitor-friendly, disabled friendly, kids-friendly. You can get at least a video and a photo as a gift from management for your visit. And I was surprised to learn that the owners are music professionals.

Very touristic spot, but worth a visit. I went on a Friday and the queue was short. Got tickets with drinks, and the view was amazing, especially at sunset. The swing was sold out (lots of people wanted to go), so better to book that in advance. On the top terrace it was windy and cool, which added to the experience. Souvenirs are available in the shop downstairs. They also have a photo setup where you pose on a steel pile with the skyline superimposed behind you, it’s more of a marketing gimmick, and you pay for the photos at the end if you want them. Oh we loved the lift experience!!!

If someone asked me what the first thing to see in Amsterdam would be, I would answer without thinking: A'DAM Tower, with everything it has to offer: stunning view of the entire city, swing, restaurant, funny photos, the whole holiday atmosphere. Beautiful memories, I mean. And there are still things left that we didn't do. But be careful: everything is paid separately! When you see others swinging at 100 m high it seems very simple and natural. When you are there, everything changes, especially if you are afraid of heights. Although I resisted "heroically", I would not repeat the experience even though I enjoyed it very much. So, think carefully before you go! But if you don't have problems with heights, then: go for it! The ferry across the IJ is free. It's good to check availability online: if the restaurant is booked for events, then you can go there for nothing. Plus, online tickets have a discount. We've been twice: the first time it wasn't crowded at all, the second time we waited almost 20 minutes in line for the elevator. Of course it was Sail 2025 :)

Booked for myself and partner in Feb 2025. Get the free ferry across, near Adam Central station. This takes about 5 mins and they run all day. We booked the Tower lookout, swing and the VR ride. The VR ride was just OK, doesn't last too long and it is a roller-coaster that takes you around the city of Amsterdam. It was a nice addition to the booking. The view from the top is stunning. you can see all the famous places of Amsterdam whilst enjoying a cold beer. The prices at the bar 0 probably to be expected - are very expensive, however well worth it when you are enjoying the view. It was not too busy when we went as was out of season, however, I could imagine this being extremely busy in the summer. It was interesting watching the video on the towers history (located on top floor before the swing). They do have a restaurant, however, I think you may have to book and it did seem to be very expensive. The swing itself is amazing. The view was unreal and staff were very helpful. It only lasts around 3-4 mins though which was short enough, but again, to be expected. Would 100% recommend this to anyone travelling to Dam and its something that we would actually to again if we visit in the future.

Loved A'DAM Tower! You can see a stunning view of Amsterdam and surroundings from the observation deck. There's also a light show while going up on the lift. Another lovely thing is the digital memory they created for you. It's a must visit place while you are visiting Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

Check the weather report before you book your tickets in advance and you definitely should book them in advance. I had great views, but it was very overcast that day. This was a bucket list stop when I was in Amsterdam. I don’t think you’ll find a better view anywhere else. Also don’t be scared of the swings. It’s not as scary as it looks. You’ll also be missing out if you don’t stop in the café. Grab a table and sip a coffee while taking in the view.

If you are not scared go in the swing. The view from the tower is amazing too!

I had a great time taking the free ferry to A'dam Tower. The views of the city from the top were fantastic, and I got some memorable photos. I was able to enter for free after a certain time, which was a nice bonus. It's definitely a fun place to visit!

It wasn't the highlight of my trip to Amsterdam but if you have free time it's worth checking out. The swing was scarier than I expected it to be. We went on a cold winter Sunday night and it was empty. I recommend taking the ferry there.

This was a nice experience with good views but it's one of those places that you really only need to go once. There wasn't much of a line when we got there to enter. We had prebought entry tickets from Viator (more value for the Premium tickets that includes a little souvenir as well as the entry and digital memory) but had to pay €5 extra for the "over the edge" swing. It's a short little time of swinging out at the top but it's worth it for the experience. And again, wouldn't need to do it again. Once you go upstairs after ticketing, you get in line for you digital memory aka take two photos in front of a green screen on a beam. They do one of you properly sitting there and another fun one aka you hanging on for dear life etc. The elevator ride up to the viewing desk is an experience as well with a light show of sorts. Then your out enjoying the view! The swing required a little wait time that was disclosed when we bought our ticket so we were prepared. The staff at the swing could be more friendly but it was a cold and busy day, so I understand them just getting on with work. They don't take pictures or videos for you there so most just asked whoever was behind them. The tower itself isn't just a viewing platform, there's an indoor area, a restaurant and other little things inside. We didn't explore anything else since we had other plans afterwards but did look at the indoor educational side of things with the building model and history of building Amsterdam which was really nice.

Do the swings! You get an almost 360 view of a lot of Amsterdam. You also get photos that you can download online for free. Amsterdam tends to rain a lot and we got lucky it did not during my visit.

I was in town visiting from Los Angeles and after hearing so many wonderful reviews of the A'DAM tower, I could not wait to see it. After touring the building, and going to a fun dance party in the boiler room, my friends and I were in awe of the place!! The new A'DAM tower is a masterpiece! It's so creative and beautifully designed! It has everything you could want in a building. A rotating restaurant, club, offices, hotel, another classy restaurant, and a roof deck with breath taking views of Amsterdam! It's fun, hip, cool, and so exciting for all ages. There is something for everyone. I had an amazing time visiting one of the restaurants and hanging out on the rooftop lookout. I cannot wait to go back and bring all my friends!!! Thank you A'DAM for showing us such an amazing time! We'll be back again soon.

Gorgeous restaurant on the 20th floor! My friends and I enjoyed a bottle of wine and spectacular views. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. There is simply nothing like eating a fantastic meal while watching the sun set around you- I 100% recommend this place.

When waiting to view the city from the top of the tower we encountered many avoidable obstacles. We accidentally waisted at least 15 minutes of our time because we were waiting in a line to vote! There was not proper signage separating the voting residents from the tourist. We also thought it was very ridiculous that we had to share our whacky elevator ride with these poor residents just trying to do their civil duty to vote before returning to their day jobs. Other than that very pleasant time will be returning.
