El Greco Resort

Visited back in 2018 and still holding a dear memory of the place. The hotel/resort, though by far not luxurious, still offers spacious and clean accommodation. The food quality and pool area need to be improved. The staff would go out of their way in order to make their guests feel welcome. An added bonus is the spectacular view over Doctor's Cave.

Great customer service. Clean, quiet. Rooms are adequately furnished. All necessary appliances are present. Location is central, you can walk to most places on the strip. Has elevators unlike some other older places. Their breakfast is good and they have a mini supermarket on property with necessities you need on arrival.

Do not stay here – hotel website has many wrong information. Lots of mis information on their website. There is no private beach connected to the hotel. The Doctor’s Cave’s beach is elevations lower and streets away. Need to pay to go to the beach $6 per day, they provide a voucher but only one every two days. They don't tell you ahead of time. Everything needs to be paid for separately. Safety deposit box is $5 per day . Worst yet, hotel website says 24 hr check in, but once you get to the hotel, it says check in is 3 pm. We wasted a day since we got there at 9 am. Waited around from. 9 am to 3 pm. When 3 pm came, we needed to wait in line again and started the process to get our room key. People at this hotel are not friendly. They are into turning people away. They look unhappy and don't want to answer questions. There is no concierge as it advertises. Two of the front desk clerks are so unhappy they even argue in front of all of us waiting in line. Very bad altitude. Wifi is intermittent, works in the living room but not in the bedroom. TV is intermittent, once I turned it on, I can’t turn it off. Remote doesn’t work with the TV, first time I was able to change the channels. 2nd day the remote doesn’t work, TV is fixed at one channel and the remote doesn’t work. I have to unplug the power chord to turn the TV on or off, can only watch the channel it’s on. Telephone doesn't work. I asked to speak to a manager, but no manager on duty till 9 am. I waited to speak with her even after 9 am. Unfortunately she just brushed me away. Overall, terrible stay, false advertisement and I won’t come back and not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location on a cliff right above the Hip Strip, where all the action is. It's a self-contained apartment like hotel. Has its own convenience store, pool and restaurant, all situated on top of a cliff with beautiful views at 11 Queens Drive. If you want to get down to where the action is you can take a little walkway to the top of a high-rise building and take the elevator directly down to the Hip Strip. There is shopping, all kinds of stores, restaurants, hotels, Doctors Cave beach, about anything that you'd want to see or do can be found right here. No taxis, no travel really involved other than the elevator ride down. Quiet when you're up top. The hotel is well used meaning worn but comfortable and rather inexpensive. Everything was clean and in reasonable shape. It was a one bedroom with a kitchen, a balcony suite. We don't cook so restaurants were where we always ate out at. Only kept snacks and drinks in the room. It has security such as it is and is some defense for complex. There's a restaurant that offers breakfast lunch and dinner and a bar with drinks. Very nice pool area. We stayed at this place off and on for 25 years now. 06/18/2024 This location was used as a COVID holding facility during the time as it seems to be government owned. No idea of the conditions any more.

The room was clean and tidy. The a/c worked really well. All the appliances, including the TV, were plugged out when we got there but it all worked once plugged in. Breakfast was good and the view from the restaurant was gorgeous. All in all, good value for money. It was actually way better than I expected.

Location was good very easy access to downtown,the beach,restaurants etc which was great all were in walking distance. Room was clean and served its purpose. Security was ok no problems.||Breakfast was included which when they had the food you wanted was ok. 4 of the 5 days there they had no bacon. They seem like they did not want to provide juice when you ask for it,whatever the case was something to start the morning off. Pool looked ok but did not use it because not enough chairs.||View from breakfast arpricey. Very nice.||Use if safe was 5 dollars per day,should have been included in the room cost.||Hotel did provide free passes to get on the beach below which was helpful otherwise would have had to pay. Did have to pay for chairs and umbrella at the beach. Beach was nice,food not the greatest,drinks ok but pricy. Restaurants I ate at downtown were good. Locals coming up to you downtown asking for money, you just have to ignore them and keep walking. Overall this was a good trip because of the company I had made it great. Played golf at Cinnamon hill which was really beautiful,had a nice caddy that actually got upset concerning his tip at the end of the round mind you caddy fee was paid up front. But at end of the day I hope to return to play the Witch and Half moon courses. Book your tee times on line much cheaper than if you don't and go pay at tha course.||Other good thing was ELGreco is only ten minutes from the Montego bay airport. Taxi's driver I had was good as I wanted to get some oxtail besides the jerk chicken an he made it happen.|| Would I do it again yes. Avoided the very expensive resort costs for this area and had a great time on a quick getaway budget.

Stayed for 5 days on business. Though the property is ideally situated on top of a hill overlooking the airport and the bay most rooms don't have the view. I was on the ground floor, with a prime view of the parking lot (and giving everyone outside a prime view of the room). My curtains remained shut for the entire stay. The view is excellent from the restaurant, which I only utilised for breakfast. They serve a decent variety of both local and American dishes, and the food is good, but not amazing. The room was clean, and the furniture mostly up to date. The bed was comfortable and the air condition worked as advertised. It's just ok if you're on vacation but for business is a good spot to rest your head and work in to the night.

The outside is very well kept and the breakfast was good, however the decor is outdated the bathroom and kitchen could use some renovation. The first room I was given was not clean as there was a wet wash cloth left in the bathroom, bed looked like someone had slept in it and garbage left in the kitchen. I was given another room down the hall which was cleaner than the one before EXCEPT the bathroom tub is filthy (actually sprayed myself with rubbing alcohol after my shower) I just needed a peace of mind cause I was itching after my shower. Don't bother looking for any iron, blow dryers, knives or extra towels they are kept at the front desk 🙄. My sister called for an extra set of towels last night when we checked in we're about to check out and STILL NO towels in sight 👀. The staff is friendly and I like that they had fruit trees on the grounds were you can pick and eat. If your looking for a quick rest stop this is an okay place to spend a few hours.
