Gruet Winery & Tasting Room

We recently visited this winery with close friends who are members and who have consistently had wonderful experiences here in the past. They were excited to bring us along during our visit from California, as we live in wine country ourselves and truly appreciate high-quality wineries and hospitality. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by our server, Danielle. From the start, her mannerisms and actions made us feel rushed and unwelcome. The service felt curt and dismissive, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and enjoyable tasting. Having visited many wineries in California, we can honestly say this was the first time we’ve encountered service of this nature, and it was disappointing given the reputation our friends had shared. That said, the wines themselves were outstanding, and the atmosphere of the winery was beautiful and inviting. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the wine and the overall setting, which made the contrast in service even more noticeable. We would consider visiting again in the future because of the quality of the wine and the experience our friends have had previously, but we would request a different server. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the winery has so much to offer and the service should match the excellence of the wines and ambiance.

We have always had a wonderful experience at this tasting room. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our most recent visit acquainted us with Skye, a fabulous server who spent time talking with us both as well as provide outstanding service. The sparkling wines are our favorites and we always come away with a bottle or two. If you are in the area, this is a must visit! Make a reservation as they can get busy.

My sister and I have been coming to Gruet for many years, I would definitely says it’s a happy place for me! 🙂🥂 Diana, Sam, Olivia and Skye are great staff members, a smile to greet you and happy to make it a great experience every time. I highly recommend you stop by for a quick sip or two!

Had a girls weekend in ABQ, wanted to do a wine tasting and ran across this place. Absolutely beautiful inside and out, the atmosphere was great. The staff were attentive. The music was nice too. We had several flights and left purchasing several bottles. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, he was very knowledgeable about the wine as well as the history of Gruets. He was a gem. We will definitely be back!!

This was our first visit to Gruet Winery. We had such a wonderful time in their tasting room! The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the perfect spot to sit, play a fun game, and enjoy a flight of their excellent wines. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, helping us choose wines we truly loved. Every detail made the experience special. We left with smiles (and a case of their fine products!) and can’t wait to come back.

The Tasting Room offers a variety Gruet wines (flights, glasses, and bottles) and lite food offerings. I had the Vinters Flight, a sample of full bodied reds. There was a great aroma when they were delivered to the table. I paired that with small Charcuterie plate that had a combination of meat, chese, fruit, veg, nuts and more. A good value when compared to others locations. The tasting room is situated inside a beautiful building with an inviting entrance. The service was friendly and attentive. There is a lot of seating. Starting with bar area tables, a more formal area, a ‘barrel room’, and also a small private table that can be reserved. Outdoor seating includes a nice cozy patio as well as natural area w/ trees and umbrellas and a rock fountains. Too bad it’s next to the freeway, however it was still very enjoyable to dine outside.

For a girls night we went for a sparkling wine tasting here on Friday the 13th, and did 3 flights under the full moon. I had never done a wine tasting, and I am not a wine connoisseur by any means. I typically don't enjoy wine, but this experience with good company, beautiful ambiance and informative and fun staff made me rethink my decision on wine, which is very difficult to do i might add. I found several new wines that I am not opposed to drinking in the near future.

Relaxing place to enjoy some pinot and a mocktail. Sam the entertainment manager is an excellent host. My girlfriend enjoyed the New Mexico Sunrise.
