The Best Hotels in Aruba—Luxe All-Inclusives, Beachfront Retreats, and Cozy Boutiques | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set in a former coconut grove, this locally owned, family‑run escape from twin sisters Kimberly and Stephanie Rooijakkers sits less than half a mile from bustling Palm Beach yet feels worlds away. Fifty casitas tucked amid lush tropical landscaping make it an ideal place to truly unplug, and you’ll see every type of traveler—from friend groups and families to honeymooners and solo guests. It’s not directly on the sand, but the beach is minutes away by short walk or shuttle. The casitas are private yet resort‑equipped, with rare perks like kitchens and barbecues, and on‑site Coco Café serves classic Aruban treats, Belgian items, and Mediterranean‑inspired fare. This year it earned two Michelin Keys, the only property in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao to receive the recognition." - Jacqueline Dole

"Aruba’s Palm Beach is known for its powdery white sand, tranquil blue waters—and sprawling full-service luxury resorts. Just steps away, the intimate Boardwalk Small Hotel is a laid-back alternative. Owned and operated by Belgian twin sisters Stephanie and Kimberly Rooijakkers, who were born on the island and spent their childhoods here, 14 casitas are scattered on the grounds of a former coconut plantation and individually decorated: studio, one-, and two-bedroom spaces are outfitted with bright pinks, yellows, and aquas, fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, and private patios with their own charcoal barbecues and hammocks. Breakfast offerings range from the local (think tropical fruit and house-made arepas ) to the luxe (bottles of champagne), and can be delivered to your casita or beachside palapa , but with no restaurant on site lunch and dinner is up to you."

Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba (Noord, Aruba) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Aruba is the sort of place that’s managed to get by without having to take much notice of the boutique-hotel movement — picture-perfect white sand beaches and an idyllic climate mean there’s little pressure to innovate. But there are exceptions, and Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba is one of them: a vibrant, colorful, eclectic boutique hotel that makes no compromises on location, set as it is amid a coconut grove just a five-minute stroll from Palm Beach." - Tablet Hotels

A Review of Boardwalk Hotels | Hotels Above Par

"This adult-only boutique retreat in Palm Beach blends secluded, cottage-style privacy with central convenience: winding gardens, hidden nooks, and private casitas create an intimate, tropical atmosphere while a three-minute walk (or frequent shuttle) places the beach and town within easy reach. The property honors its coconut-plantation past with 49 bright, studio-to-two-bedroom casitas that include kitchens or kitchenettes, outdoor patios with hammocks and barbecue grills, air conditioning, generous storage, and bathrooms stocked with local aloe products; select units add soaking tubs or plunge pools. Two lagoon-style saltwater pools are the social heart—complete with daily Happy Hour (try the piña colada or Aruba Ariba), above-pool hammocks, and a relaxed soundtrack of birds and rustling palms—while wellness amenities include a fitness room, treatment room, and yoga deck. Thoughtful, sustainable touches (compostable espresso pods, organic fridge teas, digital room keys, reusable water bottles) reflect the family-run ethos, and guest conveniences such as complimentary parking, an all-in-one concierge app, impeccable in-person service, and flexible dining options (in-room kitchens, private-chef dinners, paella nights or barbecue service) round out the experience."

This hotel is an absolute gem! My husband and I came for our honeymoon and stayed for a week. I think every place we stay from now on - we will compare it to Boardwalk. Everything was 10/10 - and if you are gluten free, the Coco Cafe is a wonderful option. We will miss it here but will 100% be back. You will not regret staying at this hotel!

An elegant boutique retreat with exceptional comfort The Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is a truly refined boutique retreat — intimate, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed for guests who value comfort, space, and genuine hospitality. The rooms are beautifully appointed and wonderfully spacious. Even without cooking yourself, the large kitchens add a feeling of ease and luxury, making the accommodations feel more like a private residence than a hotel. Everything is designed with care and attention to detail. The beach is either an easy walk away or, if you prefer, you’re happily driven there by a small golf cart — a charming and practical touch. The hotel also provides beach loungers and plenty of fresh towels, which makes spontaneous beach days effortless. You can even explore the more natural, untouched beaches around the island without any hassle. What truly elevates the experience is the team. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, always happy to share excellent recommendations for restaurants, hidden gems, and things to explore around Aruba. Their suggestions feel personal and well thought out, never generic. Breakfast and lunch are excellent — fresh, warm, generous, and of very high quality — adding to the overall sense of understated luxury. Combined with Aruba’s beautiful weather and the serene, tropical surroundings, this hotel offers a perfect balance of relaxed elegance and genuine warmth. A boutique stay with soul, comfort, and quiet sophistication. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing place to stay for my honeymoon!! The environment was immediately so welcoming and calming. Our favorite part was the pool, which was so quiet and relaxing. The casita was spacious, clean, and cozy with a super comfortable bed - they even had American TV channels which was a huge plus! The Coco Cafe was a great option for on-site dining - we especially enjoyed the coconut shrimp, chicken satay, Boardwalk Burger, and Strawberry Daiquiri. The staff are so attentive and so accommodating - they truly want to deliver all you could ever want or need! In terms of location, having the Ritz and Marriott hotels are super nice for places to go out to dinner like Ruth’s Chris and Atardi - beyond those though, I would recommend renting a car if you want to venture further out to get a nice dinner. We also had a massage during our time at Boardwalk and they did an amazing job. Overall, this was the perfect place to stay for a quiet, relaxed, and rejuvenating couples trip.

This is a wonderful hotel. My daughter & I had the best time in Nov 2025. I will stay again. Beautiful grounds with 2 pools, 1 restaurant (which has terrific food), outstanding service from the staff, 1.5 block (safe) walk to the beach with reserved ocean front lounge chairs & tiki hut coverage, comfortable beds, you can drink the tap water & it tastes great. I highly recommend if you want rest & relaxation. No kids allowed.

I wanted to leave a message on how impressed I was with The Boardwalk when we were in Aruba last week. What a find! The beautifully designed aesthetic of tropical plants, private/quiet/spacious casitas, great staff, location of this little tropical oasis! I never leave reviews but your hotel made our visit to Aruba! Congrats to the sisters who designed it and for the Michelin 2 Key award! Bravo!

Had dinner at the Coco Cafe’ at the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba.|Amazing dinner last evening, and again this evening. A brand new menu was introduced tonight and we were fortunate to try some new items. If you love goat cheese, try the artichoke and whipped goat cheese dip with toasted sour dough triangles. It was incredible. We also had shrimp prepared two ways. So fresh and succulent. Our server Fleur was so kind and knowledgeable. Everyone who works at the Boardwalk are just an incredible group of people.
