9 Best Hotels in Aruba, From Adults-Only Resorts to Family-Friendly All-Inclusives

"Set in a former coconut grove, The Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is locally owned and family-run by twin sisters Kimberly and Stephanie Rooijakkers who were born and raised in Aruba. While it's less than half a mile from the heavily populated Palm Beach, it somehow feels worlds away. The property features 50 casitas surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping, and is the ideal place to truly unplug. Expect to spot every type of traveler here, from groups of friends and families to honeymooners and solo travelers. While it's not directly on the sand, the resort is just minutes from the beach, accessible via a short walk or by the property's shuttle. The casitas are private, while still offering all the amenities of a resort, alongside rarities like kitchens and BBQs. If you choose to eat out, the on-site Coco Café is a laid-back outdoor restaurant serving classic Aruban culinary treats, Belgian items, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine." - Jacqueline Dole

"Aruba’s Palm Beach is known for its powdery white sand, tranquil blue waters—and sprawling full-service luxury resorts. Just steps away, the intimate Boardwalk Small Hotel is a laid-back alternative. Owned and operated by Belgian twin sisters Stephanie and Kimberly Rooijakkers, who were born on the island and spent their childhoods here, 14 casitas are scattered on the grounds of a former coconut plantation and individually decorated: studio, one-, and two-bedroom spaces are outfitted with bright pinks, yellows, and aquas, fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, and private patios with their own charcoal barbecues and hammocks. Breakfast offerings range from the local (think tropical fruit and house-made arepas ) to the luxe (bottles of champagne), and can be delivered to your casita or beachside palapa , but with no restaurant on site lunch and dinner is up to you."

Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba (Noord, Aruba) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Aruba is the sort of place that’s managed to get by without having to take much notice of the boutique-hotel movement — picture-perfect white sand beaches and an idyllic climate mean there’s little pressure to innovate. But there are exceptions, and Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba is one of them: a vibrant, colorful, eclectic boutique hotel that makes no compromises on location, set as it is amid a coconut grove just a five-minute stroll from Palm Beach." - Tablet Hotels

A Review of Boardwalk Hotels | Hotels Above Par

"This adult-only boutique retreat in Palm Beach blends secluded, cottage-style privacy with central convenience: winding gardens, hidden nooks, and private casitas create an intimate, tropical atmosphere while a three-minute walk (or frequent shuttle) places the beach and town within easy reach. The property honors its coconut-plantation past with 49 bright, studio-to-two-bedroom casitas that include kitchens or kitchenettes, outdoor patios with hammocks and barbecue grills, air conditioning, generous storage, and bathrooms stocked with local aloe products; select units add soaking tubs or plunge pools. Two lagoon-style saltwater pools are the social heart—complete with daily Happy Hour (try the piña colada or Aruba Ariba), above-pool hammocks, and a relaxed soundtrack of birds and rustling palms—while wellness amenities include a fitness room, treatment room, and yoga deck. Thoughtful, sustainable touches (compostable espresso pods, organic fridge teas, digital room keys, reusable water bottles) reflect the family-run ethos, and guest conveniences such as complimentary parking, an all-in-one concierge app, impeccable in-person service, and flexible dining options (in-room kitchens, private-chef dinners, paella nights or barbecue service) round out the experience."

Very nice boutique hotel. Quiet and very clean. The staff are top notch and helpful. Breakfast was good. The pool area very relaxing and the resort was beautiful. Our casita was well stocked and clean. Lots of room and the porch area was a good place to sit and lay back. The beach is across the street and they have a little shuttle bus to take you there if you don't want to walk. A 5 minute walk there and they provide water and in the afternoon, drinks. Have chaise lounges and umbrellas on the beach. Would recommend this resort.

Amazing place. Location is wonderful, beach access is wonder and well located. The location is very well shaded and looks like you are in the middle of a jungle (despite Aruba being desert island). Very close walking distance to fun bars and plenty of restaurants and excursions in a short drive. Cafe has excellent choices. 10/10 recommend the romance package, great price for what you get and the couples message was outstanding. The front desk is incredibly kind and helpful. They made our trip so simple and were extremely helpful. The pools are open 24/7 which is great for a late night dip. We will be returning to Aruba and this is the only place we will stay.

My husband and I stayed in a casita at the Boardwalk hotel in October 2025 and we were very impressed with this place. ||The casita was perfect for us. We had a little kitchen with a sink, fridge, stovetop and microwave so that we could get a few groceries at the store (a short 5 minute drive from the hotel) to have breakfast in our room. We also got a few things to have sandwiches on the beach so the fridge was perfect to store some deli meat. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower, too! Comfortable room with everything you could need. Our only complaint was that they have exclusively down feather pillows. These always make our allergies act up, so that was disappointing that there wasn’t any alternative. I also wished that the room had a full length mirror. ||The short walk to the beach was easy. You can reserve a palapa the day before and show up before 11am to grab your reserved spot. After 11am it is first come first serve. This section of the beach was gorgeous and pretty quiet. There is some construction going on close by that was unfortunate for noise, but it didn’t deter us from going to the beach most every day. Wonderful service on the beach, too! ||Around 2pm or so we would usually get tired of the beach and head back to the hotel pool for happy hour (daily from 3-5pm). The pool is well shaded and quiet. There are also plenty of lounge beds and chairs around the pool for everybody. Compared to the big resorts, this is where the Boardwalk takes the cake for me. So much quieter and more intimate. We really enjoyed this part of the day every day. ||The staff at the Boardwalk recommended a few restaurants to us to try, and all of them were phenomenal. Everybody here is so kind and lovely. While we were here, they were awarded two Michelin keys. Well deserved. They celebrated by passing glasses of champagne to all the guests. We look forward to coming back one day!

This was the best place on earth for our honeymoon!! The massages were the best I have ever had, the whole staff is extremely nice, friendly and helpful. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting this island. It’s been an incredible experience. The rooms and grounds are extremely well taken care of, charming and beautiful. Never want to leave but can’t wait to come back!!

Our trip to Aruba was amazing but the thing we talk about the most is the amazing place we stayed, the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel. The Boardwalk was quiet, relaxing, and provided the extra touches that made our stay special. For example, a hammock and nice outside table, daily refills of iced tea, refillable water bottles that can be taken on adventures, a small cooler and easy access to ice to take along on the excursions, and easy beach access. The pools were well appointed and I loved reading while relaxing on the Fatboy!

One word. Fantastic. We had a wonderful time. Quiet, relaxing, short walk to the beach. Beautiful pools, great food and we can’t say enough great comments about the staff. Suzanne, Arianne, Marijn, the bartenders, housekeeping, and the list goes on. Thank you all for a really great friendly experience! We highly recommend.

We went here for our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED it!! Everyone at Boardwalk Boutique were the kindest and most helpful. The location was wonderful - just a 5 minute walk or 2 minute little shuttle ride (Chi Chi the bus!) from the crystal clear beach. This is also only a 5 minute drive to the bustling center with plenty of stores, restaurants, and more. Highly, highly recommend coming to visit here!!

The Boardwalk was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It's like the most beautiful luxury apartment complex with all hotel amenities. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are spacious. I also love how environmentally friendly they are. Will definitely be staying here again!
