34 Best Airbnbs in Mexico (2023)

"Looking for the surf retreat of your dreams? This contemporary beachfront home is located near the best point break in Baja California Sur. Running on solar power and with unmatched views of Cerritos beach, this is an ideal home for a family or groups of friends that also want a little privacy—each of the four bedrooms has a separate entrance and private bathroom. Although the beach offers plenty of adventures like surfing and sand volleyball, entertaining spaces in this home abound. The open-concept kitchen and living room open to an expansive deck and plunge pool, while the rooftop bar makes for a perfect perch to enjoy a sunset cocktail. There’s even a game room with table tennis and an outdoor area with cornhole and a horseshoe pit." - Meredith Carey,Michaela Trimble

"The Road to Cerritos The most rugged, sketchy roads always seem to lead to the best surf breaks. This photo captures the early morning drive over the hill to Cerritos beach in Baja Mexico . Down below I discovered perfect, glassy rights and only a few early risers in the water. In the distance at the point is Hacienda Cerritos, a boutique hotel from which you can stumble out of bed and down to the surf. Mario Beceril, a Baja native, runs a great surf school from the beach for anyone who needs a lesson. mariosurfschool.com"

Google
An awesome place though each year it gets more and more developed, losing its charm, on the slow march to becoming Cabo. There are some some epic access points to the beach to the south of town.

Wonderful. Empty. Nobody cares if you leave all your stuff at the beach when you go swimming. A lot of waves and a little salty

Great beach for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, playing, people watching, you name it. Beach vendors sell beers, drinks, cocos fríos (fresh coconut water), etc. They rent sur birds an lessons, boogie boards, lounge chairs, umbrellas Plenty of beds for massages. About an hour drive from Cabo, 20 minutes or less to Todos Santos. Most swimmable beach anywhere on the Pacific side. Dog friendly.

A beautiful beach with awesome surfing and a stunning west coast sunset! Did not disappoint one bit! Great surf schools dotted around, with refreshing and clean waves! Lovely beach, with places to stay all around and some good food as well in a charming atmosphere!

A friend of ours who lives in Cabo stopped in for us to have a look around. It's definitely a Surfers Paradise for sure, dirt road access in with a lot of lots for sale that you can see on the way in. The Beach itself is very nice, but the constant techno music drove us all nuts. We actually sat at the one beach bar and waited to be served ( which never happened ) so after 15 minutes we actually left. We were actually shocked as our friend is actually Born and raised in Cabo and he was even disappointed in the entire experience. I can definitely see in 20/30 years or so if they paved the road in this place would be one of the next boom towns. Maybe they don't want that, and keep it the way it is. But I definitely could see that happening in the future. Cheers from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦🍁

This beach is 25 minutes away from downtown todos santos, has dark gray sand, massive waves, and amenities upon arrival. Easy to get shade and sunbeds and all you need, perfect for long walks. If you're not a dog fan you might find the amount of them overwhelming😂. Some will even be unleashed and poop in the shore (saw it twice) but it's a spot to go if you're on the area.

Best beach to learn how to swim I camp near the beach every weekend . Love the community and their overall vibe. It’s becoming another nice vacation spot by the feeling alone I think.

One of the few “swim-able” beaches in the area. Wide, sandy beach. Surfing. Chairs, tables, and umbrellas available for rent. A few restaurants on the beach. Beautiful and fascinating tides and waves. Great spot to watch sunsets.

Yelp
Cerritos Beach: What a stunning beach ! This magical beach is located 10 miles south Todos Santos and gives off a bohemian, historical, peaceful vibe. It is swim friendly (Shallow waters make for smaller wave breaks), beach for miles (sweeping expanse of pristine welcoming waves popular for surfing), horse back riding adventures, and what seems like) miles of soft beautiful buttery sand ! We rented a pop up shade and lounge chairs and made this beach our home until the last glistening sun rays passed into the night. Spectacular sunset!!! Overall- this beach is perfect for those seeking glistening waves, soft sand, and endless beach views.

Yelp
I love this beach. Its's about a two hour drive north of Los Cabos, but well worth it, considering you can actually get in the water without the strong currents pulling you off into the depths of the ocean. It's great for surfing, the sand and water have this beautiful, gold, glittery hue to it (perhaps from pyrite rock?). Parking is free, but get there early because spots are limited. They have about 2 cafes on the beach selling beer and food, surf board rentals, surf lessons, body surfing, umbrella and chair rentals, and plenty of roaming and slighlty bothersom artisans selling jewelry. We took our own cooler, but rented some chairs and an umbrella. The young gent never brought us our $10 change - no surprise there - but we didn't bother to ask for the 100th time on our way out. Pinche cabrón. If you're not sure where this beach is, keep an eye out for the BIG beautiful yellow house that sits just above a massive rock cliff. There ya have it.

Yelp
This beach is the real thing. People from all over Mexico were visiting & testing the surf. More a locals or native beach than "touristy". Sand crabs, surfistas, shore surfing, families, hippies, darling homes, huge ocean and beach expanses. SO much to look at, smell and enjoy.

Yelp
The best beach in the low cabos area. However be careful of what route you take. We started from the unsaved road next to the Pemex station closer to todos santos and it was a disaster. You need a powerful SUV for that route. However there is a smaller unsaved route close to mark 65. That's worth taking. Awesome beach, compared to the sea of martes beach is flatter and no undertow. Great for kids !!

Yelp
So I scoured the internet for info on this beach and came up with mixed reviews or reviews that were incomplete. Glad we went. Simple beach with no amenities. Maybe 1 mile off highway 19. Park in small parking lot at end. Walk Up and over small incline and Bam...glory awaits. Beach great for families. Strong waves/current but was not bad. This was at 3pm. I could walk out 20 yards and still stand. Clean fine sand. We stayed farther south from the canopies. You do not need a 4x4/awd vehicle. Not at all. Ground was packed. We had a two wheel drive cheap ford. If you think you need 4x4, then you are headed in incorrect path. I was so excited to jump into the ocean, I forgot to change into my bathing suit. So I decided to get butt naked in the water and change into proper attire with waves crashing yet no one never knew. Never felt more free in my life at that moment of changing clothes!!!

Yelp
Okay guys it's now almost 2019 and lots has changed over the years, first of all there is now a four lane highway from Cabo up to this beach which is on the way (up the Pacific side) to Todos Santos (a tiny portion is still under construction)! To be clear it's less than an hour North of Cabo. Major pluses include: It's one of a very few safe places along that Pacific side to swim (especially for kids), nice and flat, gradually deepening without any under-toe and small waves close in, but do keep towards that protected North end of the very long beach up towards the Northern cove and don't go too far out as there is an out-current out where the expert surfers hang out...speaking of surfers, it's got the best break in all Los Cabos! Lessons available, surf boards for rent, and ok little breaks closer in for beginners. If you want to take a dip in the Pacific you best do it here, for that, it can't be beat! (Elsewhere the Pacific side can get dicey for the swimmer if not downright life threatening.)
