"With more than 400 shipwrecks and its fair share of coral reefs,St. Kittsis a favorite of the scuba set. To try your hand at the hobby, consider staying at Bird Rock Beach Hotel, which houses one of the island’s most popular dive operators. Here, guests can charter a boat to nearby Devil’s Cave and swim among barracuda, lobsters, and nurse sharks, then retire to one of 46 tropical-hued rooms overlooking the sea. Less adventurous travelers can visit the on-site dolphin park, sunbathe on the private beach, or simply sip rum punches from the pool’s swim-up bar. Hotel staff is also happy to arrange off-site activities like catamaran cruises, rainforest treks, and volcano crater tours."

Shockingly Unprofessional — Worst Hotel in St. Kitts My experience at Bird Rock Hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. I have never encountered a hotel that treats guests with such open disrespect and hostility. The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and acted as if basic customer service was beneath them. The management was even worse. The attitude, the rudeness, and the complete lack of accountability were astounding. Instead of addressing concerns, they responded with arrogance and defensiveness. The owner’s behavior was particularly appalling — absolutely not what you expect from someone responsible for guest care. Nothing about this place reflects professionalism, hospitality, or even basic decency. The entire environment felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and extremely unpleasant. Save yourself the stress and stay anywhere else. Bird Rock Hotel is the most disappointing and miserable experience I’ve had with any hotel in the Caribbean.

Absolutely the Worst Hotel Experience of My Life My experience at Bird Rock Hotel in St. Kitts was nothing short of humiliating, unprofessional, and deeply disturbing. I have stayed in countless hotels around the world, and I have never encountered such shockingly rude behavior from staff and management. From the moment we arrived, the attitude was dismissive and hostile. Instead of basic courtesy, we were met with aggression, arrogance, and a complete lack of respect for guests. The owner, in particular, displayed behavior that was unbelievably unprofessional — the kind of behavior you would never expect from someone running a hospitality business. The environment felt unsafe, the treatment was degrading, and not once did anyone attempt to fix or even acknowledge their unacceptable conduct. It is astonishing that a hotel operating in a tourism-based economy can treat guests this badly and believe it’s acceptable. Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are far better places in St. Kitts where you will be treated with dignity and professionalism. Bird Rock Hotel was a disgusting disappointment and a stressful, upsetting experience I would never wish on anyone.

A Truly Disgraceful Hotel — Stay Away Bird Rock Hotel in St. Kitts is, without exaggeration, one of the most appalling establishments I have ever dealt with. The staff were shockingly rude, the management behaved as if basic hospitality is optional, and the overall atmosphere was tense, unwelcoming, and downright unpleasant. The way guests are spoken to and treated here is unbelievable. Instead of professionalism, we were met with hostility and arrogance at every step. The owner’s behavior was especially unacceptable — dismissive, disrespectful, and completely lacking the standards expected of anyone in the hospitality industry. The entire experience left us feeling uncomfortable, stressed, and utterly disgusted. This place should not even be in business if this is how they choose to treat their guests. Avoid Bird Rock Hotel at all costs. There are many better hotels on the island where you will be treated like an actual human being, not an inconvenience.

We had the opportunity to stay at Bird Rock in March with my daughter who was there on business. The resort is typical old school Caribbean but very comfortable. When we checked in the staff assisted us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed, apart from bathroom amenities like shampoo, lotion etc.|The views from our rooms were of the Caribbean Sea and were fantastic with excellent sunsets every night. |The resort was undergoing some needed renovations and additions while we were there, the addition of a beach club and restaurant on the water is something that we really loved. |The staff was awesome and always had a smile for us, they worked very hard and always treated us like family. |The grounds are well kept and full of beautiful plants, there are however some maintenance issues that need to be addressed with the rooms and buildings. In our room and the adjoining room, the sliding glass doors to the balcony needed to be fixed as they were difficult to operate, and the locks did not work. The rooms need to be updated and some attention paid to details like cables that were just hanging out of the wall with no wall plates.|The pool was clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs, also some shade if you wanted to get out of the sun. They were just finishing the new swim up bar which will be a welcome addition to the pool area. |Although the bathrooms functioned properly and we had hot water and good water pressure, they could use an update to the plumbing fixtures. Some new bath towels are needed, bathroom amenities like shampoo and lotion would be a good addition. Beach towels would also be a great addition.|The things that will bring us back to Bird Rock are the staff and the owner Mr. Richards who made our stay so special.

The scenery is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable. You can go swimming with the dolphins right there for a price. The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. There is one major issue I found, the internet system needs updating. Wifi cuts off too often, drop calls often

I again was able to make it to St. Kitts and stayed at the Bird Rock Beach Hotel. The hotel is still locally owned and operated and feels very much like the Caribbean I have read about. The room I had was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but clean and adequate. Both WiFi and the air conditioning worked very well.||I personally enjoyed the pool but especially the beach. I was able to snorkel right from the shore around the rocks that protect the beach and there were tons of fish. I'm not a diver but the diver operation was running after the Covid shutdown.||The restaurant/bar is right on the water and I thought the food was very good. Everything I ate there was cooked to order.||There are no elevators and the hotel rooms are one story up from the beach/restaurant/dive shop. So if you have a mobility problem this is probably not the right place for you.||So my post-Covid review summary is the same as from what I experienced five years ago so I'll repeated it now: "Overall this is not a great choice if you expect a US-style hotel but if you are looking for a friendly, truly Caribbean experience for a reasonable rate this is an excellent choice."

Very nice scenery. Well located. Weirdest experience. No entertainment, no music, no veg food, giant community centre hall but nothing booked or going on, not even a cupboard with board games. When asked if there was entertainment or karaoke they responded as if i was the entertainment going to sing and dance for everyone 🤣🤷‍♀️. This I could be hired to do but no one had a guitar. Nothing to do but beach that might have belonged to another establishment? 🤣🤷‍♀️ currently confused. Room has kitchenette with no bowls, flipper or salt or pepper. No band aids. Staff could be friendlier perhaps BUT still having fun and adjusting. 😊 Guests are super frendly as well as the townfolk. Trying to entertain myself with things I don’t already do at home 🤷‍♀️. Still learning ❤️
