"The Pinnacle is a posh apartment building in Singapore’s hip Duxton Hill neighborhood, known for its Skybridge. Soaring 50 stories above the city, it offers views that are arguably the best in Singapore. The bridge is open to both apartment residents and the general public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, except during special events such as the National Day fireworks. Only 200 public visitors are allowed up each day, so get there early."

6 iconic HDBs that shaped Singapore’s skyline - SilverKris

"At Pinnacle@Duxton, completed in 2009, I was struck by the seven 50-storey towers linked by two continuous sky gardens—one at the 26th floor and another at the 50th—each stretching a total of 500m; designed by ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism with RSP Architects, the project won multiple international awards and symbolised a new era of design excellence for HDB, showing that public housing could be aspirational and globally recognised, and it was quietly completed a few months before Marina Bay Sands opened its iconic towers." - SilverKris

We visited a friend here and was brought around on the views that captivates the mind. Lets dive in! Location: This HDB estate is on Cantonment road and near to many organizations. Places like Singapore General Hospital, Police and the nearest is a Community Club, which is just 1 minute away. Fyi, Tg Pagar CC is 65 years old this year. Amenities: There are lots of playgrounds, on level 3. Not forgetting a basketball court and a kindergarten too. There are also sky bridges between the different towers. And also a Resident Network centre here In one of the towers. And the coolest thing here is that, a living history is just next door; Yan Kit playfield. Upkeep: The maintenance of the place currently needs to be looked into. There are places that are much visible, that needs to be repaired and such, but i guess that would worked on soon perhaps. Nonetheless, the views from inside the houses, are unobstructed. We did go to level 26 garden bridge but not to the top floor due to the timing and hot weather. All in all, we kinda enjoyed it but we did realise something. Unlike the typical hdb, where many would smile back when we meet while walking, the residents here do not reciprocate your smiles. Probably due to them paying a high amount to stay in here. This probably lead to a mindset shift where it may translates to a higher prestige of living and such.. or an air of arrogance that they exude, just bkoz they are staying with this view. . We wont know and we dont care actually. Just felt that the privilege lifestyle is observed and the kampong spirit here, is not felt.

Pinnacle@Duxton is a public housing project at 1A Cantonment Road.1 It is the first 50-storey public housing project in Singapore, and also the first in the world with two sky bridges linking seven towers. The sky bridges create two layers of sky parks that offer panoramic views of the city. Resulting from the first international competition for public housing in Singapore, Pinnacle@Duxton is regarded as groundbreaking for redefining the concept of public housing with its unique design features.2 History Pinnacle@Duxton was built at the 2.5-hectare Duxton Plain on Cantonment Road. This site was where Blocks 1 and 2, the first Housing and Development Board (HDB) rental flats, which were commissioned by the government in 1963, used to stand.

Finally visited Pinnacle @ Duxton after years of admiring it from afar — and it did not disappoint! The 50th-floor Skybridge and Observation Deck offer one of the most breathtaking 360° views of Singapore’s skyline, from Marina Bay to Chinatown’s bustling streets. What makes this place special? It’s not just an architectural marvel but how visionary public housing can be. The design is modern, the surroundings are vibrant, and the location is unbeatable — steps away from Neil Road’s famous eateries (hello, Michelin Bib Gourmand spots!) and the cultural heart of Chinatown.

Good location and view, cosy and atas design. The corridors give a lot of privacy and yet there's good air-flow. Pity the prices though: They're at the pinnacle of the market. High-rise living is not for those who have vertigo.
