We visited the House of Music (Haus der Musik) as a family of five (our eldest is 12) and it was a fantastic experience. We were able to use a family ticket, which was great value. The exhibits are excellent for both adults and children. The absolute highlights for us were the musical stairs and the interactive station where you get to conduct the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra! There is also a wealth of information and audio recordings regarding the famous composers. It is definitely well worth a visit if you are in Vienna with kids.

What is the amazing museum! The immersion in music life and history, biography of Austrian composers is complete. Different interactive zones with attractions interested both for children and adults don't remain you indifferent. It is wise to aside three hours for the visit. Highly recommended.

It is my 1st time to visit this museum. If you are learning music, you must come here to find more historical background of many music knowledge and musicians. There are some 3D visual tools you can use to feel the music such as conducting. Some rooms for you to feel the sound mobilization. Happy to come here!

Went to see a small orchestra with a four person string quartet and it was delightful. I paid €20 for my tickets and the usher told me I could sit in any available seat. There were 7 rows so it was a small concert hall. The acoustics were amazing as the room was clearly designed for this. There were two violins, a viola and a cello. All played beautifully. The concert went on for one hour. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience a small intimate orchestra without spending a fortune. Thank you.

There are plenty of concerts offered to tourists, at prices that are higher. We looked for a last-minute and eventually decided on half price string ensemble of vienna. Had a great time, intimate, famous music pieces, excellent players. Enjoyed the evening.
