easily one of the best record stores ive ever been to. 2 whole floors of records, with good, fair prices too! genres are very well organized, the place was clean, and the staff was very friendly. the cashier gave me a free record, plus some music recommendations. definitely will go back when i can spend the entire day digging

Recommended! I enjoyed digging through the bins here. You can find an extensive jazz collection here. it is upstairs, I realized a bit late so I had to rush through the bins but I still found a bunch of great records. I’ll definitely be back here on my next New Orleans visit.

Great record store with two floors, massive new and used LP sections downstairs, but the real gem is the 45s on the second floor. Make sure you ask whoever is working up there to check out the rare and unusual 45s that they have. Large selection of posters and other paper ephemera great T-shirts as well, make sure you stop in when you’re in New Orleans if you’re a record collector!

Packed wall to wall, including a second level, with new, used, current, classic, and hard to find vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and even a few 8 tracks. This is a treasure trove for collectors, as well as casual listeners. The only negative is that it’s hard to narrow down what to get without spending an absolute fortune!

This is an amazing record store. They have every genre, great deals, vintage magazines, etc. This is a hidden gem.

I visited this place with my husband, who's the real music fanatic. For me, the quality of a shop is reflected in how long he spends browsing, and we were here for a solid hour! He left with four records, which says a lot. Even though I'm not into music myself, it was clear this spot is a gem for vinyl lovers. Highly recommend!

Euclid Records is a fantastic local gem with an impressive selection of vinyl records. The store features listening tables, allowing you to preview albums before buying. The prices appeared to be affordable. The staff is knowledgeable and seems genuinely passionate about music. In addition to vinyl, they offer CDs, tapes, print pieces, and more. If you're a music lover or just curious, Euclid Records is definitely worth a visit.

Euclid is a neighborhood record shop within the Marigny. A highly eclectic shop that has a healthy dose of all music genres that spans over two floors. The first floor has CDs and albums spanning rock, r&b, electronic music, local Louisiana artists, reggae and some jazz. There are a number of memorabilia, art, books, magazines and t-shirts also available. Upstairs has a huge lot of jazz, folk, country, classical and discounted records. In general all genres are covered pretty well although the electronic music was lacking a bit. There are some a couple record players available allowing you to listen to used records.

Support local. Great selection of new and used records. Prices match what you would run on Amazon. Two floors of records in all genres.The best part is your dog is welcome to come visit too.

Off the beaten track and away from all things touristy, Euclid Records is a good old fashion record store. Vinyl galore, listening stations, all in an eclectic and colorful shop. The workers are friendly and knowledgeable and ready to recommend your next favorite record.

Was just in there, ready to buy some records. But as my friend and I were looking through the records, someone came up to me and my friend and said "whoever is doing this to the records, stop it". Apparently we weren't placing them back properly. There's a way to talk to customers and that's not it. My friend and I put everything in our hand BACK and walked out. I will NOT patronize a business/staff that feels they can talk to their customers that way. Go in there at your own risk.

I've been collecting vinyl for well over 20 years at this point. I have deep and obscure tastes in electronic music. Very rarely do I go into a shop and gasp when I see a record. It happened multiple times in here. A lot of stuff I already own but was absolutely shocked to see in the wild. Lots of things I wanted to buy too but I'm not trying to transport vinyl through Texas in the spring to get back home. But this shop is A+ and deserved a review. Fair prices and absolutely top tier selection for those of you with deep and wide ranging tastes. I even found my favorite album ever, an obscure UK gem, which has been out of print for over 25 years.

This is one of the best record stores I've ever been to and I'll just say I've been to a lot. Amazing selection - thoughtfully organized - deep digging in every section. Lefty happily gave us a 5 minute crash course on essential local music. I could have been here all day. Worth the walk / Lyft!

A veritable treasure trove of amazing stuff! Found incredible deals all throughout the store. Pricing in general was extremely fair, selection was great, staff was friendly and extremely helpful, a five star experience all around!

I stopped in for my first time yesterday and I was completely blown away. I have been to most of the best record stores in the US and in Berlin, and this one is probably in the top 5 I've visited. Collection-wise it reminds me of Human Head in brooklyn, but the layout is smarter and overall a much nicer store. Great listening stations and decor and signage. I would love to spend a few days digging here. A must-stop for all kinds of diggers.

This record store was recommended to me while visiting NOLA for the second time. However, I was looking at my receipt when I got to my hotel and realized they overcharged me for a record. It was priced at $19.99 so I thought I was getting a good deal on this used picture disc, but I was charged $24.99 for it. The disc even has a scuff on the edge. I am leaving to go back home tomorrow and it's not worth going back for the $5 difference but least to say I was not happy about it. They did have a nice collection of records and I found some rare Bowie ones, so I'll give them that. That's why the two stars instead of one. EDIT: I was able to contact them by Facebook later on and they they were actually nice and apologetic about it. They said something like they thought it wasn't in their inventory and thought it was new? Not sure if I understand the mistake since the price was on the album, but I'm just glad they were easy to correct it since I'm all the way back in Texas. I change my rating, but I'll now look closely at my receipt next time before heading out.

Great selection of vinyls to choose from all different genres - full albums and singles. I saw some titles that I didn't expect. There's also a record player where you can listen in store. They have a section dedicated to New Orleans artists.

Euclid of the Bywater (not to be confused with Euclid of Alexandria and founder of Geometry) is a funky and ecliptic jewel in the crown of the Bywater neighborhood. The store is super clean, extremely well organized with no unnecessary Knick-knacks. The shop keepers are cool, well versed and keep great music blasting through the sounds system all day long. If you're a serious music buff or collector of vinyl you will spend hours upon hours flipping through the extensive collection within Euclid's walls.

Had a unique experience when "visiting" this record store location over the telephone. Due to stay in place orders during the coronavirus pandemic we called our purchase in. The customer service was EXCELLENT and the record quality is impeccable. We will definitely return once they are fully open for business. This location is open and available by appointment and pickup only at the moment.

Such a cool spot with TONS of records of every genre to browse through. Record stores are always a must when I am visiting a new city and Euclid Records definitely did not disappoint. I found some great, unique copies of records, one that I had been looking for for quite some time. Both me and my cousin purchased several vinyls. Employees were friendly and helpful too! I highly recommend Euclid!

Outstanding record store. Broad selection of all genres. Plenty of CD's as well. Not much else to say. Jazz section upstairs is very impressive. Friendly staff as would be expected of a great record store. Highly recommended. A bit off the beaten path so seems very local.

This place was a gem! I was on my way to the pizza place next door from the park. I saw this place and couldn't resist going inside. I was so impressed with the racks and racks of records. Lots of New Orleans sounds which is great for crate diggers looking for something unique to the area or special. There were quite a few dj types in there and I loved the nostalgic 80's soul section. There were a lot of classic records you probably wouldn't normally find. If you're into vinyl you want to come here!

Super/diverse selection. It was a lot of fun just looking, even if I had not found a few albums that were on my list of things to get. They played good music and the markdown section upstairs is a must-see.

Not mentioning any other record store names (rhymes with Reaches) but the new Bonerama CD was 10 dollars less here! Great prices and nice staff!

I'm new to the record game, so I don't know all the terms or what makes a good record store. To me, though, it's all about the experience. I know a spot is stellar when I bring friends there. Combined with the excellent service, vast array of musical formats, great genre labeling, and awesome location, this spot is a big winner.

Euclid Records is really cool! I am not a records connoisseur, and I actually don't even own a record player, but I visited this spot with a friend and thought it was awesome! It's super eclectic, and there are records everywhere! They have tons of selection, and it seems that you could find just about anything in this shop. I didn't ask, but I bet if you live in the area and ask for something specific and they don't have it, they could get it for you. Even though I don't purchase records for myself I saw some stuff that even I almost wanted because it was so neat. If you like records, or have anyone in your life who does, this is a great shop to stop into!

WHAT EVEN IS THIS PLACE?! Welcome to the best record store you've ever been to. Tucked into NOLA's Bywater neighborhood, Euclid is an unassuming little musical wonderland that will make you so glad that Yelp exists (at least that's how I found this place). I'm an equal opportunity vinyl shopper--I love everything from the crisp, new stuff to the $1 bin. Head here for both of those things and everything in between. You've got your rock vinyl, your jazz vinyl, your fun little collection of New Orleans brass band vinyl. The first floor has all of this and more--it's really an impressive collection, and then you realize there's a SECOND FLOOR. Get ready for boxes upon boxes of amazing 45s. My partner is a musician and just about lost his mind. So many great gems to uncover--you could truly be here all day long. Prices vary wildly here, but they all seem fair. We came home with and handful of awesome 45s for less than $20 (but could've spent WAY more if we weren't saving some for all the amazing food/cocktails NOLA has to offer). The staff was super knowledgeable and if you live in the area, I'm sure they could bring in a record for you if it's not something they already carry. Musicians, tourists, humans--do yourself a favor and check out Euclid Records!

This place is amazing. There are not a lot of "Record Stores" left and Euclid is a gem. Great selection covering all genres, knowledgeable staff and a storefront that lures you in and dares you not to get lost inside. So easy to lose a few hours in this place.

Was in from Texas, had heard about this place. Stopped in and was there for quite awhile. It is amazing!! Even if you don't collect records you need to go just to take it in. It's an experience! We didn't purchase anything but the guy at the checkout area was so friendly to anyone who had a question. Cool music pumping the whole time obviously. You just have to go!

This NOLA outpost of Euclid Records is spot on. Large selection of new and used vinyl. Just about every genre. The rock section has used and new organized alphabetically and each letter has decades as well. I appreciated the 1980-2000 sections for college rock hunting! Lefty is at the counter. Great shop and a must visit for vinyl junkies. Fair prices as well.

I missed going to Euclid Records on my last trip to NOLA, so I was pumped to finally be able to check it out. It's located in a really empty-looking part of town near the railroad tracks, which is off the beaten path, but by all means, don't let that stop you - this place is rad. There are two things that impressed me to death about this place - one is the selection of music. Holy cow, it is HUGE. They have just about every genre represented, and have great selections. Their jazz section alone was pretty enormous. There are two floors of records to explore, so give yourself some time! They also boast a crazy selection of 45s, most of them in boxes, shelved, and sorted by record label, with artist names on them as examples. So, if you are looking for a Stax artist, you would go look in the Stax box. Simple, but very effective. This is the second thing that impressed me about Euclid - the level of organization. These guys have it down to a T. Records are easy to browse, and artists are easy to find. I love that! They have listening stations on both floors, and they are cozy. The players they use are good quality, so you can hear the records as they're meant to be heard before you buy. The staff also has a sense of humor. I love the silly little things I saw on some of the artist name cards scattered throughout the bins. I have visited a few record shops in NOLA, and this one by far is my favorite.

This place has been in my bookmarks for so long and I finally got to check it out last week for the 1975 listening party! The store is very cooly decorated with a wide variety of reasonably priced records. And they threw a great listening party!I can't wait to go back and buy more!

This is a retro vinyl and local music record store of the likes that has nearly gone the way of the dinosaur. They have quite an extensive collection so you can take up a lot of time browsing around. Not a lot of music soundtrack stores of any kind left around most places these days with most everything having moved online so great thing NOLA moves at a different pace and lives in a different world than the rest of the world so we can still have a place like this.

I love shopping for vinyl in Nola - and this is by far the most impressive shop. It slightly outside of the Quarter in the Bywater, very doable by Uber, Lyft, or cab. You can spend hours in here. Everything is organized by genre, with some sales and new arrivals sections. The prices were great, as was the selection and the staff. Not much else to say except give these guys your business!

First Off..... This place has done me the honor of ordering me Dirty Mind's by Prince on vinyl! Do you realize how epic that is! Prince original artwork with him in a black bikini. When that guy told me he could order me and will call me a tear of joy fell from my eye. I almost heard birds singing that someone would help complete my Prince love/stalking. Okay now the rest.... The store is freakin pink! How can I not love a pink store! It's easy to find and its pink and makes me happy to go inside. Its all neat and wonderful and very well organized and they have Billie Holiday!!! I just love this store and the staff was beyond awesome and sooo helpful. My first time in Euclid was enjoyable for this female audiophile. It was one of those experiences that will go down in the record books. VISIT NOW. Plussssss they accept cards!!!!

Was thrilled with the huge selection of disco and funk. The oddities section made me giddy. The country section was small but filled with all sorts of goodies, not the usual stock C&W records. I mentioned a certain punk record and was shown an impressive section of the genre I was asking about. Loved the fact the rock was organized by year. Made it very easy to shop. Listening stations...hey had plenty, unlike other record stores I visited in NOLA! Staff was super friendly and helpful. They even had suggestions for places to eat in the area and further shopping. Ran into Euclid's owner in one of these recommendations. Prices were pretty fair across the board. Bought a nice stack of records. Listening to one as I type this!

Off the beaten path but worth the trip. Lots of good punk and metal and decent section of local everything. Helpful people and made good recommendations on the local stuff I didn't know.

A true record Mecca and must stop while in NOLA for any record collector. The dollar bin alone is better than some entire record stores. A store that radiates with passion for its inventory

Coming from the 'record player technical' side, there are few/no options in town that could have resolved my stylus issue besides Euclid Records. I know because I tried a few others who were friendly, but suggested I 'go to Euclid' ;)

Fantastic store! My favorite of the ones I got to on my trip to Nola. Staff was friendly and helpful, which, my fellow record store tourists know is not a given. And the selection!! I kept looking for the jazz section after shopping downstairs, and finally asked if they had a jazz section. "It's upstairs"... most of the entire second floor was jazz! And the prices were fair.

Neat place, liked the way they have it set up. Wasn't crazy about how they turn the music off about 10 minutes before closing and start rushing you out big time. Like "guys we close in 10 minutes" ..... "okay 5 more minutes " we had traveled a good way to come and they way I see it of you're not screwing around and your actually looking for records to buy then have a little bit of grace and don't rush people out. Clearly the people working were not the owners

It was the most recommended record store, both online and by locals. I can see why. Two stories provide plenty for every taste. Expect to spend a couple of hours here. I was looking for metal music from the 80s and 90s and found plenty. Even left with local bands and newer metal records, which I had not planned to do. They have an excellent selection of jazz, blues, and every other genre. It's a bit of a walk from the French quarter, but worth it; or just take an Uber. They provide shipping as well, $4 for first record and $0.50 for each after that. Prices are fair (I checked Discogs). They have sampling areas as well. Bonus: German pub right next door.

I was in New Orleans for the weekend and picked this record store after reading other reviews. Very impressed by the selection. Reasonably priced albums of every genre. Friendly staff there. Make sure to go upstairs for Country, Jazz, and dollar albums, as well as many 45's. Only problem is parking like everywhere else in the area and they didn't have any Waylon on my visit. Hey, nobody's perfect.

This place was a lot larger than I thought it would be from the outside. They have an expansive selection that is well cataloged and easily maneuvered in sections with large aisle ways! The pricing ranges from inexpensive to high end hard to find prices! The smell of the store was that old paper smell and I loved it. I overheard the staff speaking to other customers and they seemed very knowledgeable and eager to share that knowledge! Even if you don't purchase anything, this store is worth a stop because it's just different. Personally I love to look at the cover art on the sleeves of the records!

Went to their opening fete a few weeks ago, an all-day affair complete with snowballs, Pabst, and barbecue. Apparently, this is the new outpost of a popular record store in St. Louis, MO. Not the closest or most sensible outreach, but there you go. The few hours we were there, the store remained fairly packed, with a good stream of Bywater locals coming in and out to browse and listen to the bands playing live all day. They have a pretty varied selection, well-organized (although the hip-hop section is an abysmal half-a-drawer), with vintage posters and framed vinyl covers on the walls. It's no Jim Russell in terms of rarities, but it is much cleaner, and the staff seemed friendly (they were smiling at least; I have no use for sullen employees). Prices are good. On average, I'd say the average disc ranged from $5-$12, while rarer items can go up to $200 (as was an original copy of Yellow Submarine displayed on the wall). We paid $20 for a never-opened Wu-Tang "Enter the 36 Chambers", though, so I'm sure there are plenty of steals hidden in the midst. They've also got a section of 6-inches, some cassettes, and CDs along the wall.

Great shop with a great crew running it! Staff is always helpful and willing to help. Great selections for funk/soul, rock, and heavy jazz section. Cool thing I love about this spot is that they post up all their inventory online. :) THey have a vending machine!!!
