Drifter’s Bar is a must-stop every time we’re in Negril. The owner, Luddy Samms, is a legend and a former singer with The Drifters. On Wednesdays he performs live, singing classics like Under the Boardwalk & it never gets old hearing those songs straight from the source. Wednesday nights are our favorite with live music, jam sessions, and open mic, creating a fun, laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect mix of locals and tourists...Nothing fancy, just great music and great energy. We plan every Jamaica trip around the night Luddy is singing. If you want a true Negril experience, Drifter’s Bar should be on your list. ( I didn't eat or lodge there but did have good drinks and a good time )

Wow, what a fantastic bar. I had such an amazing night here, the music is outstanding, especially Luddy, but all of them were fantastic. The service was exceptional and drinks prices were really good in my opinion. I will definitely be back one day. Thank you team drifters.

This place is right on the beach. They had gospel music playing when we walked thru. The employee said every Sunday morning they start with a little God before they get Crunk! The sweet lady at the bar was gracious enough to let us sit in the shade and eat food that we bought from another establishment so of course I bought a drink!! Cool little chill spot and family friendly!

Nice live music, sundays 3-6pm . Food just next to drifters and little store in front where you turn in. Great vibes and cold drinks with dancing.

Just spent 2 weeks here in the hostel. Best rates on the beach. Met some amazing people. Walk out the door every morning to swim. Review will be on my YouTube channel. Deja does Negril

Great Place with Live Entertainment 🥰 Visited :January 2025 I got to sing at Drifters with the band which was lovely....It is owned by Luddy Sam's (and actual previous member of The Drifters) Along with his wife Jan. They made me feel welcome and the place has a buzz and atmosphere which particularly caters for tourists but locals also enjoy it...They also have a hostel there for reasonably priced rates. Has a taste of family and friendship and the live entertainment is brilliant...Bar open and band plays four days a week I think from 3 to 7pm.... It's a great hang out spot and lovely concept.
