Book a hospital tour and come visit here! CROW plays such an important role in the environment here and can use everyone's support. During the tour they will give you a great presentation and a tour of the clinic. The money is then used to support the clinic, which is rehabilitating thousands of animals a year. Love this place and what they do!

Waste of time and money, they had 3 animals on display… that’s it. They were all snakes… boring to look at and unappealing. The rest of the exhibits were lackluster at best, the live feeds weren’t entertaining and can be found online, the gift shop was okay but was just full of random low quality junk. Save your money and go do a kayaking or boating tour, $36 for 3 adults was disappointing at best. If you’re doing the Wild Mile Passport, show up, ask for the codes, then save your lunch money and head out somewhere else!

We visited today 5/23/25 and had an amazing time. We did the tour and had Sarah as a guide. She was amazing and informative. She took the time to answer our questions. Also meet a few of your volunteers and wow! Simply an amazing experience all the way around. Thank you for the service your provide to the wildlife.

As a wildlife rescuer I have transferred raccoons and other Florida wildlife to this exceptional rehab hospital. While the hospital is not open to the public for tours, the do have an excellent gift shop for your enjoyment. Every purchase you make helps support the them.

We had Frank as our tour person he was very funny & informative, to the people below these comments and all the low stars they do tell you in the tours not all animals can be saved he made it very clear from the start and then tells you about the organization, its purpose and about the educational process and system how they get the animals etc. So if you went to this tour in visitor center and still decided to bring an animal to save with knowing the rules and regulations that is on you, not them. People need to do their research more to different organizations and sanctuary’s before coming on here and complaining. I had a good time so did my daughter I will definitely go back again they even have summer camps for kids I saw and scholarships for it this is great I loved it 😊👍 🦊 🦉 🐢💜🌻

Nice place that serves a great purpose. If it's funded solely by private means, then it should get a small cut from the county to have it staffed 24/7 for rescue call out's (just my opinion).

Always try to visit Crow when visiting Sanibel. Arrived there just as they were closing. So Unfortunately, not able to get there this trip. But if you're ever in the area, they do amazing work, They have fantastic displays and educational programs, and don't miss the gift shop because they have some great gifts!

We loved the new(to us) education center at CROW and Brennan found a new love, being a wildlife veterinarian! He earned an honorary wildlife veterinarian certificate and got a veterinarian kit. He has been vetting all his stuffed animals all evening. We loved the presentation and getting to meet Irwin the box turtle on his way back inside! The staff were all friendly and passionate about what they do. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Do NOT miss this GEM while on Sanibel ! It blew our minds ! Our 10 year old son had a BLAST as did we . We made arrangements to do the special talk and tour and it was 100% worth it . Make sure you go and take the entire family !

A fantastic and caring team of staff and volunteers helping rescue and rehabilitate injured wildlife on the island. They quickly came to help an injured double-crested cormorant on the beach after being contacted. Such a wonderful group!

This place is amazing no doubt about it. Everyone here love animals and the environment. They have a beautiful education center where you can take your kids. Your kids can learn so much about conservation and animals. They also do tours where they take you around the whole facility and tell you about everything they do at C.R.O.W. I would recommend looking that up and doing it because it's worth it. They have a lot of animals here however you can't see most of them because it is a wildlife rehabilitation center. They want to release all the animals so if humans are around them all the time then they can't release them back into the wild. You do get to see a few animals that are unable to be released back into the wild. If you volunteer here you can work and hold most of the animals they take in. They can also use any help and donations as they are funding by donations.

Was walking on the beach today when I passed what I thought was a really funny looking log, Turned out it was a local bird (a double breasted cormorant) with a pretty bad boat propellor injury. So I looked up CROW's phone number and spoke to Tamara who explained to me how to catch the bird without further injuring it. (You should cover them with a towel and always cover their eyes so they don't panic) I took the birdy to CROW's clinic where I admitted him as a patient. I was given a patient number so I can call and check on his progress in a few days. The staff was very friendly and what they are doing for animals is a truly an awesome thing.

If you want to go here - save yourself the time and just make a donation. We arrived with our 6 and 7 year old and were required to wear a mask. We were told that we had to wear a mask because we could transmit Covid to the animals (we are all vaccinated by the way) which is completely untrue. There were all of 4 animals (snake, turtle, opossum and baby alligator) in there to see beyond the stuffed animals and all were behind glass or in a cage. So - $40+ and 20 minutes later plus souvenirs - we left. There was absolutely nothing to see or learn. We arrived thinking we would see some of the rehab animals and that our kids would learn about the veterinary care (they told us that if kids are under 12 then they shouldn't visit the hospital). This was our second disappointment after the Sea Shell Museum. We visit Sanibel every year for the last 7 years and will not waste our time here again!

There is a lot to learn here. The staff is fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The animal talks and hospital tour are informative and entertaining! Great gift shop that benefits the center and a giving tree to make donations!

Their mission is enviable but they are rather coy in not telling you that your $12 per adult admission does not get you into the rehab center and that even if you pay additionally for that tour you likely will not see any animals as they are kept covered. The info center you get to tour would be a nice little stop for a suggested $5 per person donation perhaps.

This is a great place for a specific population: kids like mine. Middle elementary school kids who are REALLY into animals. They have a great hands on activities and exhibit where kids pretend to be wildlife vets. It was also useful for keeping cool in the middle of the day. As others have said, there are only a few animals on display, it is not a zoo, or even a nature center, so if you want to see critters, this ain't it. My kids loved it and want to go again.

Not what we expected. You pay $7 pp to listen to a 30 minute talk of how they care for sick animals. You only get to see a possum that is an "ambassador". ...no other animals. I'm sure they do great things but we were mislead.

CROW was started in the 1970's to rehab injured wildlife. They have a nice learning center where you can learn a lot about what they do. They treat animals with a mixture of traditional and Chinese medicines. They are a dedicated group of people and I think they are doing an amazing job! They ask for a $5 donation per person and have a daily presentation M-F at 11am. You will not see any live animals as their patients are all released after they heal so they do not want them to become accustomed to humans. The learning center has pictures of past patients and a live video feed from the hospital. Some of the pictures are pretty graphic - and not all of the animals have happy endings. If you find an injured animal you can call them or drop it off 6am -8pm.

All the staff was really friendly and have a passion for saving the animals. The information was presented in an easy to understand fashion and the set up of the interior was really cool! They had really friendly animals (Billy the Armadillo! ) and live feed of he exhibits not in the main area. The shaded parking was also a definite plus! I hope to be able to come back soon!

These folks need your money to help rehabilitate injured wildlife of all kinds. The place is quite small, so no need to spend much time. It's best to go when there is a docent presentation. The day we went, there was a raptor "ambassador" present who was quite the hit with kids and adults alike. Definitely a place that is doing good work for animals.

Big disappointment. $5 to not see animals. CROW wants to not disturb the animals, so you can't see or hear them, just a one-room exhibit with webcams. Apparently Florida hasn't heard of soundproofing or one-way glass. AVOID

This place touched my heart. Purely funded by donations. Completely designed to help wildlife and you can tell they are so passionate about their mission. Must see!!!!! However you will not see animals up close. You can monitor their progress via video because human interaction stresses them and delays healing. Great gift store too!!!!

This place was a great find. Recommended to us by a nurse practitioner as a family with one kid just a little under the weather. We had a great time tracing footprints, coloring, meeting some of the reptiles living there, learning to feed and care for the animals, watching an intake and seeing successful releases. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Wish we had had more time to schedule a guided tour - they run Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this time of year (but fill up fast).

My family recently visited Sanibel and enjoyed our visit to CROW. They do remarkable work and had a very engaging and energetic speaker describe their many wonderful services. It would have been great to see some of the animals, but this isn't a zoo. The CROW staff explained that they try to limit human contact so that animals stay "wild" and that re-entry into the environment goes more smoothly. Makes perfect sense. They did share a number of pictures and had several TV monitors with live feeds of the hospital rooms and other areas with animals. Very educational displays that my kids and I all found interesting. Based on prices across the rest of Sanibel, the $5 price to get in is very reasonable. Plus it supports great work!

I called on a Friday afternoon around 4 pm. I reported a possibly injured Bad Eagle. The person who answered the phone said to watch it and if it was still there the next day to call back. The Bald Eagle is our national bird and has been on the endangered species list. I would expect more help in this situation. You should have better people answering your phones.
