I would 100% recommend this hotel.
The location is unbeatable. It’s just slightly off Passeig de Gracia, one of the safest areas in Barcelona surrounded by shops, restaurants, and cafes. Diagonal metro station and a bus stop are right across the road. I was worried about visiting Barcelona as a solo female traveler, and I find the area very safe to walk around even at 10+ PM. I’m very fond of walking and I managed to walk to Sagrada Familia and El Born from the hotel. The Gaudi houses, Casa Mila and Casa Battlo, are very close by the hotel as well.
The room is thoughtfully designed with different seating areas, such as a long bench, an armchair, and a desk plus chair. Some of the furniture was a bit worn, but everything was clean and it didn’t affect the functionality.
I didn’t book the room with breakfast, but I tried it one morning since I was curious, and the jamon was so delicious it made me return for breakfast for the second time.
The best part of the hotel was the flexibility and thoughtfulness of the staff. I arrived at the hotel at 9.30am very tired and jet-lagged from my long intercontinental flight from Asia. I was very surprised that the gentleman at the reception let me check in at 10am without any extra charges, since the room was ready and available. I was very grateful for the early check in, I managed to get some rest before exploring on my very first day.
If I ever return to Barcelona I would highly consider staying at this hotel again, and would recommend it to family and friends without any hesitation.
