On the Grid : Groove Attack

"No long way down to the basement where almost 25 years of music history have been sold. You have to pass Monsieur Courbet to get down (an address for fabulous menswear). Being the oldest record store in Cologne, Groove Attack convinces with excellent knowledge and service at all times. A long desired request awaits you eagerly down there. Listen to newest releases or make some rare finds. Get your souls satisfied and minds inspired on a perfectly picked library of HipHop, Funk, Soul, Jazz & Electronic music but also a fine selection of Brazil & Afro sounds. Can’t make it to the shop? *Pity!* Definitely try next time! Need some evidence? *RadioLoveLove,* a podcast hosted by two of GrooveAttacks’ shopkeepers proves their terrific taste with an excerpt of vibes." - Elastique.

Nice place with a sweet selection of hip-hop, electronic, and world (Afro/Brazil) records. Good prices! Owner was nice to chat to. Happy hunting.

Was not expecting that it is a 2-floor shop. The main floor is for their clothing merchandise while downstairs is a basement of their vinyls. Good selection for Detroit/House/Hip Hop/Rap genre lovers.

Cool underground (literally) record store. You go through indie mode shop, so you can buy a random shirt that goes with your record selection :) He owner is cool, knows his stuff. It’s far from mainstream, tho. Variety of hip hop, house, techno etc. I’ve found one cool rare record.

Very kind staff, excellent selection of soul, hip hop, jazz, deep and interesting stuff. Also if you are willing to dig, there are very nice second hand electronic music gems to be found.
