Best Western Melbourne City Hotel

For the price it was. Ok and central BUT if you are over 90 kg well, lather up buttercup..you will need too to get through shower door! At best 1/2 metre wide! Bathroom you have to go out too change your mind.. soooo small. I've had bigger on the cruise ship. One elevator working other has been down for 5 months as far as we can work out. You get what you pay for rule applies. Staff were great.

I’ve just checked into my room and have been greeted by a seriously unenthusiastic male whom couldn’t care less for his guests. The room was clean and tidy and perfect for what I needed. Best western, not the best first impression. At least the bed is comfy!

Perfect stay for a simple trip. Stayed at the single bed room. The room is small but just enough for my short stay. Room was clean & it has everything you expected for a budget hotel: Tea/coffee, milk on the fridge and toileteries. Wifi speed is good for browsing (Approx 40-50Mbps)The only downside is: Their hotel key is using old technology and easily demagnetised. I happen to put it next to my Airpods and it loses the magnetism.

Great location - perfect room for 1 night stay. The staff were so kind, we got to check in at 10.45am which is almost unheard of! My only complaint would be that there were no windows in the room & there was an annoying noise whenever someone was in the shower. For 1 night stay this wasn’t really an issue and the positives outweighed the negatives. Would stay again due to the great location!

Friendly check in and, happy to get a free upgrade from single to double bed room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom small and requires a side-ways shimmy to access the shower given the narrow doorway. Tea/coffee making facility good. Some background noise from passing trains/trams. Overall a good stay for the price.

I booked economy stay for 1 person for 1 night. Staff were friendly and available at the end of the phone when I enquired about checking in and they allowed me to bring my case in before checkin time. My trip was made easier because I didn't have to lug my case around or find a locker to leave it in, I was able to come and go unencumbered. The location also meant that I easily caught the sky bus early the next morning by walking across the road to Southern Cross Station.  Sure it's an ageing facility but it is clean and neat and good value.

Conveniently located close to Southern Cross station and tram lines this was a good choice for city accommodation. The room and bijou ensuite were very clean and well appointed. While it was an internal room the lighting was excellent complimented with a sky light. The shower door is small and may pose a problem for people with a larger frame.

I had a great stay at this budget hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. I found the bed super comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet, which made for a very peaceful and restful stay. The hotel is in a great location, and for the price, this place offers excellent value for money. The room was cosy, the bathroom compact, but honestly, it was more than sufficient for my needs. Everything was functional and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay in a good location with excellent customer service at a great price. I will definitely stay again!
