Bellini's

Pizza is okay, ingredients are good/fresh but the crust is standard. I love their Carbonara, not bland, not strong, just right. Would be coming back for their other pastas. Tiramisu is just okay also for me, nothing special. I’ve had better Tiramisu. Carbonara 5/5 Pizza 4/5 Tiramisu 3/5

Very good food for the price. The pizza reminds me of 3M Pizza from the 80s in regard to the crust and the red sauce flavor, but elevated with the other ingredients. The beef carpaccio is something I will come back for: I had two servings of it today.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Cubao, this resto is def worth a try. We got no plans to eat here, but certainly did not regret it. Food > We loved the pizza. Melty cheese with the perfect balance of arugula. > Pasta is OK. I appreciate how al dente the pasta is but the seafood is too overcooked. > Caesar salad is OK. It doesn’t look good in the eyes but it’s definitely flavorful. Would personally prefer a softer boiled egg. It’s hard HARD boiled. The place was newly renovated and has big glass windows already as walls- di na feeling kulob sa loob. The waiters are also helpful and nice. They allowed me to park my bike on the side. The CR are also clean . Food is still good esp the pizza.

You can really feel the history of the restaurant. There’s also live piano music, which gives you the sense of having slipped back in time. While the flavors were average, you might appreciate them as part of a nostalgic, old-fashioned taste.Overall, it was a casual Italian dining experience that seems to be loved by people of all ages.

4 stars. Tried Bellini’s in Cubao Expo—ordered the gnocchi and marinara pizza. Service was okay, but the food didn’t really stand out. Decent experience overall, but I’ve had better Italian elsewhere.

Bellini's looked so promising. We loved the ambiance and was looking forward to trying out the menu. That was about 8 pm on a Saturday night. But the visit turned out to be such a disappointment. We were surprised to be told that certain items were not in stock at the moment. Naubusan daw. On a Saturday night? But the restaurant was nowhere close to even being full. Then when we finally made our orders, they didn't even have the specific pasta indicated for one dish and replaced it with spaghetti. The gnocchi portion, while delicious, was so small for the price. The service was good though. The service staff was kind naman. I'd like to think that Bellini's has been good and maybe this was just an off day. But we won't try again. Once was enough for us.

Parpadelle salmon pasta was way too salty. Gnocchi was OK. Mushroom cream pasta was great. Pizza, not good at all. They use cheap quality mozzarella and the dough wasn't good as well, it was nothing compared to italian restaurants I've tried elsewhere. Sorry!

It was my husbands bday, and the whole family came. There were 8 of us. My hubby likes Italian and we wanted something really good. My sister found this place on google as best Italian restos in the area and we tried it. We ordered so much I don't quite remember all! But we had a couple of cold cut meats to start and couple of mozzarella with tomatoes. For main, we ordered a steak...boy was it huge and delicious! Value for price! We also ordered Alfredo w chicken, carbonara, pesto pasta, seafood pasta and red wine to go with it. Roberto, the owner, and our servers were very friendly! Oh, and not to mention, we had our own private room as it was a Monday and the ambience is so authentic and quaint! Love this place!

The ambiance is great but the food is not. The truffle pasta is not that good plus it is too salty. The carbonara is no different, it also disappoints. The pasta clearly needs more cooking for it is kind of tough. The pizza is the worst. No flavor. The crust has terrible texture. I feel i just dumped my money into the trash but that is just one man's opinion. The crew is friendly, though.

We visited Bellini's Restaurant a night before my birthday. I thought it would be a perfect place to dine with my S/O for the event and it didn't disappoint us. We arrived a bit early so we roamed around Cubao X first - checked out specialty/novelty shops. It was my first time in Bellini's and I was greeted by a familiar view - wooden chairs, painted walls and ceilings and wine cellars. It was familiar because this was the same resto in the movie "One More Chance" (John Lloyd-Bea fans, hello!). This restaurant was owned by Roberto Bellini and his wife, who is really hands on to their business. As of writing, they've got 2 branches (Cubao and Makati). The waiters speaks Italian, btw. We were ushered into our seats and gave us complementary bread sticks which I kept on nibbling while I wait for our orders. The menu is in Italian but has an english translation for customer's convenience. Our orders: Grilled Eggplant in milky cheese and bacon bits for antipasti Pizza Mediterranea (bacon-cheese-onions) Pasta Rustica in fresh linguini (italian sausage in red sauce) Spinach and Bacon pasta in fresh Fetuccini The famous Torta de Obama cake There is an additional price if you want fresh pasta. The eggplant appetizer was superb. I wanna try to cook it at home. It looks easy-peasy to grill an eggplant and put the add-ons but I know things are easier said than done. Hihi. My S/O chose Pasta Rustica and I chose the Spinach and Bacon one (I'm a sucker for bacon!). As for the pizza, we came into a unanimous decision and ordered a medium Pizza Mediterranea. We both enjoyed the pizza and their chili olive oil. The pizza and pasta is not oily. You can even feel the flour of the pizza dough. We were stuffed but not so full. It's not heavy on the tummy and we made room for their famous Torta De Obama cake (gooey chocolate cake). They even gave us complementary red wine to cap off the night. We were billed around P1700 for 2. Vat and 10% service charge included. They accept major credit cards. It was a special day for me and I was thankful that Bellini's made it more special and unforgettable. Indeed, one of the loveliest places in the Metro.

Celebrated with my friends here for passing the board exam some years ago and it was truly memorable. This place got famous because it has been used in a popular local film called One More Chance (every Filipino has watched this film I bet on it) and we visited it too for that reason. This is an Itallian restaurant owned by an Itallian in a place called Cubao Expo (a very hipster place full of strange and vintage stuff, a favorite of mine). The foods were good but a bit pricey, and the service was good too. Our wines were served by the owner himself, who has been really friendly. The place was really adorable, very artsy which I truly enjoyed. We really had a great time here!

I have very vague memories of this gem of a restaurant as a little girl. Mostly it's those long breadsticks folded back at the ends. After ten or so years, I was obviously excited to be back and have one more chance to remember it better (hah, see what I did there?). Walking up to the door, I actually thought they might have been closed because it was dark inside. Turns out the place was completely empty at five in the afternoon - just my family there for an early weeknight dinner. We were seated in a lovely private room off the main dining hall, right under the small model Colosseum and colorful hand-painted murals. I ordered the Gnocchi Pomodoro e Basilico (spinach gnocchi with tomato and basil), Quattro Formaggi (four-cheese pizza), and Pollo alla Griglia (grilled chicken), enough for three to share. It's cool how the menu's (half) in Italian and the waiters speak the language too. Loaded on carbs like Popoy and Basha were, we experienced a small but good taste of Italy here at Signor Bellini's humble abode.

When my girlfriend first took me here, I had no idea why she was so insistent, as I've never watched One More Chance. I know, I know. It may be why I wasn't able to properly appreciate the place even though I did like the food and the ambience. The place reminded me of Italy, which I guess is the whole point, and there was a guy singing near the counter. Usually, a live, indoor singer can be a bit disruptive, but he made sure his set made everyone comfortable and encouraged conversation. The dessert, I thought, was a bit racist, as it was called Obama Cake and was, predictably, moist chocolate cake. It was amazing though, and I forgot how racist it was after one bit. If only we can solve the world's problems through food - it would be amazing.

I am probably one of the few people who went to this place not because of a popular local movie, but because of the many good things that i have heard regarding the quality of their food. Being amongst the bars and hipster hang outs in the heart of Cubao X, it isn't really the first place you would think to go and look when searching for an authentic Italian resto. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the murals that adorn all the walls. Despite this the place has a very homey feel to it. My personal favorites are the veal milanese which is tender veal breaded and fried, the parmesan risotto, octopus carpaccio and the quattro formaggi pizza. The service is good and the staff are very courteous. It's also quite amusing how most of them have learned to speak Italian due to the years of conversing with the owner, Signor Roberto. Overall a great place for a date with good food, great ambiance & reasonable prices.

Okay, cards on the table: the primary reason why I dragged my boyfriend to Bellini's is because of Popoy and Basha. That dramatic crying-in-the-rain scene in One More Chance? Love it. Love the movie. In the words of Angelica Panganiban, "Ang ganda ng cinematography!" I had always wanted to eat here ever since I found out that this is where they shot a lot of scenes from the movie. Also because I'm a big fan of Italian food. And Italian guys (Joey Tribbiani, anyone?). We had complimentary breadsticks (a lot of it...ssh!), carbonara italiana, and spaghetti al cartoccio, with pizza and cake on the side. Now let's talk about the cake. It was a moist chocolate cake named, rather inappropriately, as Obama Cake. But set aside the racism for a second and enjoy this cake because the explosion of flavor in your mouth is heavenly. To recap: nice food, nice interior, nice ambience. There was even a live singer, crooning Italian songs (or gibberish --. I can't tell, I don't know Italian). They also give us free wine to pair with the cake. All in all, it was like my boyfie whisked me off to Italy (even though I did the whisking), and I would definitely give it another go.

This is where you should go if you are looking for authentic Italian food. Surrounded by the hip vintage stores and flea markets inside the trendy and hipster Cubao Expo, this institution has been around for quite some time. From the outside, this restaurant is very inviting, as it has colorful murals of scenes in faraway Italian coast towns. Coming into the store is also quite a treat, and you are greeted with quintessential trattoria decor elements such as frescos and bottles of wine lining on a shelf. However, the magic stops there. I would like to think that the present Bellini's is a shadow of what it used to before. I could just imagine people going there on romantic dates because the place is pretty gorgeous, especially when they dim the lights, but the food is seriously in such a sorry state. I went there twice and vowed to never come back unless I hear stories about how they improved the menu. For the price, you cannot help but feel ripped off. The food doesn't taste remotely fresh, and everything feels as if it was made off-site and reheated in the restaurant. Everything was bland, the pasta watery, the pizza too tough and the wine too flat and aired out. Too bad the place has a great reputation, but somehow, quality is just not up to standard. The only thing interesting about this place these days is that it still has the table where John Lloyd, Bea and friends ate in the movie, One More Chance. Bellini's is an institution in the world of Philippine restaurants. Now, let me be abundantly clear. There are not many restaurants that I would travel to the Cubao area for, but Bellini's is one beautiful exception. Thinking of this place makes me smile as my all-time favorite Pinoy romantic comedy was shot here... if you don't know what that is, we can't be friends... but really, it's "One More Chance". This place serves Italian cuisine and the food is off the charts. In fact, it's pretty ridiculous how good it is. Despite the hundreds of restaurants that open in the city each year, this place continues to stay strong and that should speak volumes about it much louder than a thousand reviews ever could.

Bellini's has always been a go to place for good Italian food but it has been a while since I've paid it a visit. I finally got to last Sunday and the food was still superb! Great ambiance, reasonable prices and really authentic Italian food, I would recommend this over any other Italian restaurant that you might be able to find around Manila. We had the Rustic Pizza, a plate of appetizers that consists of eggplants, olives, tomatoes, anchovies, The Bolognese Pasta and the Risotto Parmigianino. The service was very good, the staff was very attentive and the food came out fast considering the place was packed. It is also a huge plus that the owner was there supervising and entertaining the guests, it's a sign that the place is very well taken care of. So whenever you are around Cubao or you are just looking for a good and hearty Italian Meal, do check out Bellinis at Cubao Expo.

There's a sense of novelty whenenver I eat in Bellini's. Every time I step inside, I feel like I'm stepping inside a place that has so much value culturally, kind of like a legend. But maybe that's just because of all the "One More Chance" mania and the fact that the place has immortalized the chairs that celebrities have sat in. It's always a treat to see Bellini inside the restaurant, eagerly greeting customers as they pass him by. Bellini's does have some of my favorite pastas like the Paperdelle Salmon and Tartufo Funghi con Prosciutto, just because it's so simple and authentically Italian. The pasta noodles are al dente, has the right thickness, and the sauces rich. Their pizzas are the same, extremely well made with the crusts having the right thickness and crispiness. But Bellini's is not for those with shallow pockets because for all their authenticity, Bellini's does not come cheap. But it does make sure the flavor makes up for it.

Bellini's a little slice of Italy at the edge of boho-romantic Cubao Expo. While the other restaurants in the area are for dirty grub and a good time, Bellinis is for a pleasant, genuine Italian meal and charming musical performances by a jovial italian man and his guitar. (His infectious presence actually makes the slightly higher prices a little bit worth it for me.) Their pastas and pizzas are simple but succinct. I tend to gravitate towards their ravioli, but if I had to pick a true constant in this restaurant it would be the Obama cake, a decadent dark chocolate cake with a ice cream and caramel. This place kind of gives me Amelie vibes, which I enjoy when I'm there, but it's honestly not an establishment I frequent or look for in Cubao Expo. I would still recommend that people try and experience it for themselves, though!

A big part of theme restaurants with specific cuisines is ambiance. The dining experience depends on how believable the whole thing is, determine whether your imagination is transported to Venice or you feel like you're just gobbling spaghetti at home. Bellini's, hidden away in the Cubao Shoe Expo, has been serving great Italian food for years. The interior may appear tacky to casual observers, but it fits well with its carefree Italian theme. The owner is actually a delightful Italian man, and his interaction with diners is one of the things that adds to the place's charms. Surprisingly, its his Filipina wife that does most of the cooking, and my mom swears that their aglio olio is the best in town. The real challenge is finding it.

Look up classic Italian restaurant, or best Italian restaurants in Manila and Bellini's is sure to appear somewhere in those lists and for good reason. This place was where it's at! I love pasta more than any other type of food and Italian has always been a go-to for me. I just had to try Bellini's when I read about it in an article. Bonus! It's an easy commute by train, ride the MRT to Cubao, around a 5 minute walk to Cubao expo and you're there. The décor is fun with wall painted with murals mimicking an Italian city. But really it's the food that should be your main focus. Everything at Bellini's is classic, simple, and fresh. They make their own pasta fresh, bake their own breads, and have the best quality meats, cheeses, and vegetables possible. I cannot choose a favorite because everything in Bellini's is great, whatever you order you will certainly leave satisfied. Not to mention the wait staff is super nice and helpful and the owner himself Mr. Bellini is always present and will even go up to your table for a quick chat.
