Doki Doki - Japanese Dessert Café

Okay, so me and my family have been hyped to try this place for the better part of a year, but we live a distance away and the couple of times we've tried, parking wasnt really great downtown, so we have had to skip it. We we made the trek in on a Saturday and decided to pony up for parking. We get inside and are greeted by a sign saying there will be a 45 minute wait for the pancakes which is what we'd been wanting to try. We rang the bell and someone came out to take our order at which point we were told that the wait time had just increased to an hour. That's fine, just another 15 minutes. So we ordered a taiyaki fish for each of us, filled with Nutella for 3 of us and biscoff in mine and 3 orders of pancakes, 2 to be shared between my sister and brother in law and their daughter and one for me. After about 20 minutes, the taiyaki came out and they we good, but one was missing so we inquired with the staff and they told us there was still one cooking and in 5 more minutes they brought the other one out. (This is important for later.) So around the 1 hour mark they brought out two stacks of pancakes for my companions. I watched as they enjoyed and finished their food. Since we had inquired before about the missing item, we didn't inquire again, because we were sure the pancakes would be out soon. We waiting for almost 30 min at which point one of 2 people working came out of the kitchen and we inquired about the missing pancakes. My brother in law told them his name and they went to look it up and he had to take his receipt up to show that we had ordered 3 stacks. At this point we were ready to go and would have gladly just taken a refund, but that wasn't offered and the staff member helping us had disappeared back in the kitchen to apparently check on the missing stack. At this point we had already left the table and were waiting in the register area and they brought out a plated stack of pancakes. Then he saw we were ready to go and asked if we wanted a to go box. We said we'd take them to go. We had an hour drive ahead of us and at that point we had been there almost 2 hours. They brought out the pancakes hastily tossed in a container we took them and left. At that point they didn't look appealing at all, but after an hour drive they looked downright disgusting. I opened the box up upon returning home and was pretty sure I didn't want to eat the mess in the box. I tried a bite and noped out. I understand that some food should probably be eaten immediately and this is one of those items. I feel the staff should have anticipated this and offered a refund rather than offering to have us take them home. The were literally not cooked inside. They were supposed to be creme brulee dark chocolate but looked like an awful mess in a box. I'll include pics and let you decide for yourself if you'd try them. Definitely not going to return.

Food is 10/10!! We love everything. Especially the pancakes and crepe cakes! Really want to try their French toast. The location is rough though and did not feel safe. People even walk through the business from the back door open to the other side of the parking lot. Taking advantage of their drink dispensers. Signage is very small so I wonder how they are getting noticed. The food is incredible and they are so generous to the community! Wish you had a Utah County location :)

Tried the ube crepe cake here and woww it was absolutely out of this world. Super light, airy, and incredibly delicious, unlike anything I’ve had before. A bit pricey for a slice, but totally worth it. I was hoping to try the passion fruit crepe cake, but they were sold out. Highly recommend!

Having been to Japan, I was a little disappointed. The fruit sandos at 7-11’s in Japan are 1000x better and 1/4 the price. The bread with these were not the traditional soft fluffy milk bread. It was more dry and thin. The cream and berries were good. The pancakes were also mainly good based on their toppings. the pancakes weren’t bad, but they were also not something I would crave or be willing to spend $14 on again.

The Ube Shibuya was fire. My partner loves this dessert and said it's one of the best he's ever had. The ube icecream was so yummy and the bread was perfection. Crispy edges and so soft and hot inside. Definitely coming back!

This is the cutest little desert Cafe! I've had my eye on it for a while but finally decided to stop by and try it and I'm so glad I did. The treats are delicious, the staff was very friendly and the overall vibe of the whole place is so cozy and relaxing. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some tasty deserts!

If you’re looking for yummy Japanese desert place! Doki Doki is the place. A very nice environment and themed that you will enjoy with friends or family. We tried the Panna Cotta which was an adorable presentation And very delicious, with a unique texture. We also got the drinks :green apple Melona Drink, which was very refreshing. Definitely a place you must try to get the experience.

Doki Doki Café is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a fun and unique vibe that makes you want to stay longer. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and you can tell they really care about creating a good experience. The drinks are not only delicious but also beautifully presented — definitely Instagram-worthy! I tried their specialty drink, and it was refreshing, flavorful, and different from anything I’ve had before. They also have great snacks that pair perfectly with the drinks. If you’re looking for a place to relax, chat with friends, or just enjoy something new, this café is absolutely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

The places is so cute and the stuff is so friendly. The drink was amazing and they let you add boba to your americano. We also try the Ube cake and it's one of the best I ever try.

If you have a super sweet tooth like we do, this place will definitely crush all forms of dessert cravings you will have. All flavors from chocolate, nutella, sweet strawberries, or lightly sour passion fruit flavors(crepe cake), this place is the spot to go. Did I mention they have the famous super fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes? Their staff here we have to mention are very kind and helpful with any question you have. Thomas was very clear of what every dessert we had and was very knowledgable of what everything was. Doki Doki has a very small and "homely" typical asian restaurant vibe to it. It's nice and bright inside and gives a very welcoming vibe with great asian decor and a coin toy machine! Will recommend and hope to return soon!

Cute little Asian cafe in SLC. I chose this place because I saw they had a lot of Corgi decor. As a proud father of two Corgis, how could I not visit them? The service is at the counter here. You order and they bring it to you. It wasn't super fast but it wasn't slow either! We were in good company so no complaints there. Their selection is interesting. I do wish they had red bean taiyaki. The tiramisu is not to sweet; perfect in my opinion. The taiyaki was also very fluffy and tasty. I highly recommend Doki Doki and a night lite dessert option!

Visited Doki Doki around 1:15 pm on Thursday and there wasn't anyone there at the time. We were able to order right away, but did take around 8-10 minutes to get the order. For the interior, there were plenty of seats available to accommodate big parties. I felt a very cozy vibe from the decor throughout store. The staff was very friendly and helped pick something to order. In this case, we got the Taiyaki Waffle. This was with the vanilla ice cream, custard filling, biscoff cookies, and strawberry. It was good, sweet, and refreshing. This was perfect on a hot day!

I can't get enough of their passion fruit crepe cake. That is why I kept going back. The reason I will probably not return in the future is the kiosk you order at. All three times that I have stopped by it has been surrounded by teenagers just playing around with it. After waiting more than 10 minutes for one party to be done, I took off. I didn't have time for three more groups to take 10 minutes playing with the cool kiosk. Having a second one or an employee you could order from would be very helpful. I could see employees in the kitchen but they paid no attention to the line forming. When they were asked a question about inventory of an item, they were not friendly. I am sure they were frustrated from dealing with the same humans I struggled with as well.

Lovely atmosphere! There are cute Japanese-style floor tables as well as regular western seating. Decor is top notch cozy. We got the Bunny Panna Cotta and it was everything we expected.

Cute little dessert place in Salt Lake City! There are a good amount of choices and it's not overly sweet. I liked all the choices that we got! A must try in Salt Lake City!

Phenomenal vibes at Doki Doki. I got two fluffy pancakes one was Dubai chocolate and the other was brown butter caramel. We sat across from the Levi Ackerman and Gojo sensei posters. I enjoyed looking longingly into their eyes in between bites of the most scrumptious pancakes I'd ever eaten. The people running the place are awesome too! Truly wizards of their craft.

My family and I have been wanting to go this place since we discovered all the posts and beautiful videos we've seen on social media of their famous pancakes. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it on the street. It's a small little place and if you're into the anime scene it will charm the pants off you. I called in advance because I was told you have to make reservations for the pancakes if you want to get them because they take 20 minutes in advance to make. So i went to their website and I couldn't find how to make reservations anywhere. I called them and they told me that reservations were under the menu item pancakes because you don't reserve for parties you just reserve for pancakes. It was clunky to order them because you only can order for that day in half hour increments and you have to wait until midnight that night of the day you want to go to order for the specific day you're going to be there. I think that's a miss step in serving their customers, but it could just be that they didn't know that the technology they decided to use would be that limiting. The staff itself were very kind and when we got there, we ordered additional things and had a seat. We didn't have to wait long and the pancakes started to come out and they weren't in an ideal texture to which the staff offered a free treat to make up for that. They still tasted just fine but the pancakes that came out last were definitely much fluffier than the first ones served. The difference in the pancakes offered really is just in the toppings and not the cake itself. Some offerings I thought were much better than others, but everybody has a personal taste. We found that the salted brown butter one was the best and it was agreed-upon by our party of six that that was everyone's favorite. All in all we thought the pancakes were just OK. The highlight of the meal was actually the hot chocolate and specifically the one that was French and it was the best hot chocolate that any of us have maybe ever had in our lives. We had also ordered a coffee latte and a soda and they were just fine as well. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the atmosphere was certainly pleasant. I can recommend trying this place even though it didn't knock our socks off. However, I would go just for the hot chocolate alone sometimes because it was that good. A personal note, we never did get the free treat because I think they forgot about us and we chose not to bring it up and that's on us as well so I don't hold that against them. I think if we had brought it up, they would've happily Gotten it for us.

However, it's on the expensive side for what you get, so it might not be a frequent go-to if you're on a budget. That said, the quality and unique experience make it worth trying at least once!

(Sorry for the bad photos) We came 15 mins before closing and had to takeout our treats! I haven't been here in months, but I love this place. I can assure you that the crepe cakes aren't like anything you've ever had before: light, fresh, filling, not too sweet. The passion fruit one is a favorite amongst me and my siblings! I pretty much only come for these crepe cakes, everything else is good but they're not the star of the place haha. I'm only taking away a star, because the price of these crepe cake slices has gone up a lot. I love them, but $11 for a slice is a bit much!

Had been looking for a Taiyaki place here in Salt Lake and was pleased to find " Doki doki". The Nutella and custard taiyaki were amazing! I wish I had ordered two of each because they were so delicious! Will definitely come back to try the other flavors! Also enjoyed the Ube Latte. Highly recommend pairing the Taiyaki with this drink, it won't disappoint! Also loved the ambiance of the shop, with the Doki Doki sign lit up on the side of the store surrounded by small stools and tiny tables. Service was also fast and efficient, so did not disappoint! Overall, great experience!

My sister and I saw this place on social media and wanted to go try it! We took our family to downtown SLC just to try this dessert place. When we first walked in there was a small cluster of people at the door waiting in line to order at the kiosks. They had a small display with the desserts you could see as well by the kiosks which helped when trying to figure out what we. They have a couple small cheesecake options, a waffle type dessert, and multiple flavors of crepe cake, which seems like a bunch of crepes put together to make a cake. We got the Mango Crepe Cake slice which was an 7/10, the passion fruit crepe cake slice which was a 10/10 for me, cookies and cream crepe cake slice which was a 3/10 for most of my family due to the lack of flavor, the passion fruit cheesecake another 10/10 for me and then my parents got a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a chocolate ice cream that I forgot the name of. The desserts came out pretty quickly. Our longest wait was waiting to order on the kiosk. Overall my dad said he'd never go back due to the lack of flavor for him, my mom gave it a 6/10, one sister gave it a 8/10, the other sister a 7/10 and I give it an 8/10. It's a fun place to try at least once!

Best taiyaki waffle. Must try when you visit here. Highly recommended and the service is on point!

Kawaiiiiii! Super cute desserts for social media aesthetics. Order at counter or on kiosk. A little confusing if you're a first timer because the kiosk isn't as detailed. The display case really helped visually! Surprisingly, neither desserts was too sweet as anticipated. The Japanese Cream bunny with vanilla and pan cotta cheese - was the cutest mushy dessert with a side of your choice of jam. I chose passion fruit and it was delicious! Reminded me of French vanilla custard. Passionfruit Basque Cheesecake - texture is good. Not like a normal cheesecake. Really enjoyed this one most of the two. Not too sweet either!

The place is cute and has a cute deck where you can sit Japanese style. They have a variety of desserts. Service was pretty quick and the staff offered good service and even offered us a free dessert when there was a small mix up.

Easy ordering with the kiosks. Got a slice of the mango crepe cake. It was good. Didn't blow me away: the texture was very creamy and the crepes were a little too thin so they kind of disappeared. Plenty of seating inside.

The ube crepe cakes here are delicious and the dark chocolate basque cheesecake is so creamy. The place inside is clean with anime art and good music. This is a must to go at salt lake especially with the nice service.

I've had this place on my list for years now and I am kicking myself for not going sooner! It is a super cute cafe with tons of cute sweet treats! Not only do all of their desserts look amazing but they taste amazing too! I loved the ground seating area at the front of the store, perfect for looking out the window while enjoying your treats. The crepe cake slices are so unique and delicious, you definitely don't want to pass on those. I also got an Ube cream cake and it was soooo good! They do ice cream desserts as well, perfect for the summer time. Parking was a bit difficult, they are in a busy part of the city and don't have their own lot. We parked in a neighboring lot that looked open to the public but was not. Beware of getting ticketed!

Doki Doki Has the MOST UNIQUE and Yummy Japanese desserts. Who wants a boring dessert when you could get a cute Japanese cream bunny with delectable ube sauce and berries It's pure HEAVEN. The Everything box is the way to go, you get a little of everything. The MOCHIBEAR CAKES are Mini cakes filled with homemade custard and mocha bites and they are delicious and so cute. They look like little bears These tasty little treats would be a great gift idea The Taiyaki ice cream sundae is soooooooooo good. The fish looking thing is the Taiyaki if you've never had it, YOU MUST TRY IT! The exterior of these Japanese cakes has a flavor between pancakes and ice cream cones with a crunchy exterior and soft interior. It's sweet chewy and crunchy on the outside. It pairs great with the Japanese ice cream called Ube . It's definitely up there with one of my favorite ice cream's now that I've had it. Thanks so much Doki Doki for elevating my taste bud expectations.

We stopped by on a recommendation from a souvenir shop employee. This is a cute shop to stop into for a little bit of a different dessert. It's a little awkward on the first time, because you order on a screen instead of with a person, so it was a bit of an adventure to decide what to get. I got the ube sunday with raspberry and sprinkles. My boyfriend got vanilla with fudge and sprinkles. I got the custard taiyaki, and it was SO GOOD! The raspberry topping was also delicious. I wish they had a bigger variety of sizes, as I had to throw half away.

It's great to see a Japanese dessert place in salt lake. We came for the first time and ordered a variety of things. My suggestion would be to add puddings and . I still can't find good Japanese pudding here.

I almost cried because they changed their menu since last I was here... but HEY sometimes change is good. They no long have my FAVORITE coconut cookie, but they made up for it by now having these CUTE craquelin bears!!! I always love the fact that you can sit down (on the floor) to eat, you now only order on a machine which is weird because I can't say much about the service then.... But that's okay. I love the anime all over the walls, the music puts you in the right kind set, AND the Ube crepe cakes guys.... NEW FAVORITE DISH I will be back for sure!

Absolutely stunning crepe cakes! My friends and I enjoyed the passionfruit, taro and matcha strawberry. Each of these cakes seem to have like 30-delightful layers of perfection. The flavor in each of these was delightful, not overwhelmingly sugary, just the perfect amount of sweetness. Service was friendly and the vibe was casual and fun. Definitely get yourself a slice!

This place was awesome!! I highly recommend the Taiyaki ice cream sundae with mochi and the ube ice cream. The wife had a slice of their crepe cake and it too was very good, but I definitely begrudgingly shared my sundae with her. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have the Japanese fluffy pancakes anymore (or at least they didn't when I went in). Their Vietnamese coffee was also quite good. The store itself is cute but pretty small, definitely not for large groups, but the staff was super friendly and helpful when going over all the possible combinations. I shall return!

I really wanted the Japanese fluffy cake but I didn't see it on the menu, although I enjoyed the Passionfruit dessert! Service was done by ordering at the kiosk, waited for the order to be ready. The ambiance of the restaurant leaves much to be desired and I guess that's because my expectations to see more Kawaii decor on the walls. I mean liven up the place with more decor so it looks and feels like a place with the name of DokiDoki.

First, you have to find the door with Doki Doki sign. Sit yourself and order from your table by scanning the code if you want. There are a lot of "cake" options to choose from. The ube puffs and drinks were not as great as we expected. Still a nice experience though with limited Japanese-style (seatless and low table) dining. Street parking around the area available.

Mango passion fruit crepe cake was delicious although the price is a little high. Service was very friendly and quick. The building itself is okay but all clean and the front window area is nice.

Had to try this place due to my obsession with food and watching tik toks. It was a fun place and the food really good. Came here for the Crepe cakes and they didn't disappoint. The service was great and the ambiance was good. My only issue is I want them to become bigger to buy a different place with better parking. Other than that. Fun new dessert shop.

Doki Doki mainly specializes on Japanese style bites. Their options range from delicate crepe cakes to taiyaki ice cream sundaes. Inside the cafe there is an eclectic mix of cute corgi, anime, and cat decorations. Ube Custard Cake: $4.00 - This dessert had a really tasty and prominent Ube flavor. The cake was light and the custard topping was creamy and delicious. If you're an Ube fan, I would highly recommend this adorable dessert. Japanese Cream Bunny: $5.50 - This dessert is a milk based panna cotta. It comes with a choice of sauce to pour on top of the bunny dessert. Sauce options include Ube, Matcha, Dark Chocolate, and Passion Fruit. Craquelin Cream Puff with Vanilla Custard: $4.25 - This adorable cream puff was a delightful bite. The french vanilla flavor was potent throughout the dessert. The crispy craquelin topping added a nice crunch. Taiyaki Waffle with Custard: $3.50 - The taiyaki was unfortunatley overcooked and didn't taste fresh. Traditional Japanese Taiyakis should have a light golden color with and oozing filling. The custard didn't ooze out and almost didn't exist. Overall, I'm a bit on the fence on whether or not I would return to Doki Doki on a regular basis. Their kawaii style desserts are instagramable, but a lot of the items that I was hoping to try at the cafe was not available (e.g., Japanese fluffy pancakes (this must be ordered ahead of time), Honey Toast, Brown sugar Boba ice cream with Taiyaki). I would highly recommend to not to visit the shop during peak business hours. The cafe is quite small and doesn't have much seating. They also only have one touch screen ordering system. Customer service was almost non-existent. When it gets busy, there isn't much room for people to comfortably stand in line and place their order. Recommendation for management to re-think how the platform seating is arranged and being used. It's a cute idea but my party was not comfortable sitting on the floor and on top of stained pillows. If you are a fan of Japanese pastries or just looking for a unique dessert experience Doki Doki will not disappoint. Not only are the flavors excellent, but the aesthetic is nothing short of adorable! One thing I should mention is you DO NOT order at the front, you seat yourself and order off a QR code at your table. We spent a few minutes standing at the glass dessert display until staff realized we were rookies and gave us the breakdown. My wife ordered the chocolate Nutella taiyaki which is the equivalent of a Japanese milk shake that she couldn't stop raving about. As for me I ordered a slice of 20 layer crepe strawberry cheesecake. It was delicious and I simply can't stop thinking about how good this sweet treat was. The fact that they make 20 crepes and layer flavoring between each layer is so much effort to make an amazing dessert! I had never had a crepe cake before but it was surprisingly light in texture and had a great strawberry cheesecake flavor! We also split an Ube cream puff that had a cute kitten face etched into it with frosting and also tasted delicious but was significantly more dense than the 20 layer crepe cake. Overall if you're looking for a nice hole in the wall cafe that has great flavors and unique desserts then I highly recommend giving Doki Doki a shot, just be sure to get a slice of there crepe cakes or you're seriously missing out on a tasty treat!

Probably the best Japanese pastry shop we have in SLC!! The ice cream is so good and the taiyaki is great. I'd say a staple of Japanese pastries is how cute it is and they were definitely very cute. My only issue is that they run out of a lot of things by night time: Nutella, chocolate ice cream, etc.

A definite must! So yummy I will for sure be coming back! Ordering off the kiosk was so simple and the service was nice and quick.

After eating at purgatory we were craving something sweet so we came here. The interior is decorated with anime, and they have a large screen to order from. We got the one of the vietnamese coffees, the ube swirl with the taiyaki, and the strawberry crepe cake. The vietnamese coffee was super good, I forgot which flavor we got but it had a layer of thick yummy cream on top. The ube swirl had a great ube flavor but it was really grainy, I think maybe they used ube powder and it wasn't blended enough? The strawberry crepe cake was super fresh and fruity! Great place to come for desserts or if you need an afternoon pick me up!

Stopped by after a lunch to get a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was really good. I got the crème brûlée one and was very happy. It actually has parking in the back so that is very appreciated. I don't like the inside and it doesn't give a very welcoming environment so we took it to go. I recommend it, but there's a lot that could be done inside to make it more inviting!

This Japanese bakery has the cutest most unique desserts. Their crème puffs , or craquelins, look like little bears and they have bunny panna cotta! I love the passion fruit crepe cake the most! You order on a kiosk which I don't love, I usually ring the bell and order with an actual person. My kids enjoy the ice cream sundaes with fish shaped waffles filled with chocolate. There are cute tables with bean bag seats that are fun. There is a parking lot behind the Bakery that doesn't charge you! Check this cute place out!

We went for a date night one time and had so much fun with their dessert menu! We often try to go back but always accidentally go on days they're closed we loved it though. The shop is clean and fun, and they're all very nice and well staffed.

I had been waiting years for this moment -- this moment being finally having jiggly pancakes -- and Doki Doki did not disappoint! I ordered their House Special stack, which comes with a lemon custard filling and plenty of vanilla sauce on top. The stack was big, very filling, and, most importantly, jiggly! The texture was perfectly fluffy with a bit of chew, and I loved the vanilla and lemon combo. One thing to note is that I found the pancakes to be a bit eggy in flavor, which makes sense as eggs are a primary ingredient, but I couldn't recommend this place if you aren't down for that. Overall though, I really enjoyed the jiggly pancakes here!

It was alright, service is just self service, they'll bring out the food to you. It is a pretty place, but the creme brulee crepe cake was just alright. It is deserving of a 3/5. It didn't really taste like creme brulee, maybe more of a vietnamese cake lowkey. It wasn't busy so it has a nice silence.

In all honesty I haven't tried any of their pastries so this is just a review of my experience. We decided to venture out to this establishment and after driving 30 minutes to get to downtown and try to find parking we noticed a line out to the sidewalk and it was on a weekday around 7 pm, Instagram is definitely working in their favor. So we stood in line which wasn't moving and then I noticed something, there were hardly any pastries left, in fact we noticed the couple at the very front exist without purchasing anything. This left a bad taste in my mouth since we had to drive so far for nothing. Two lessons I learned, if you're going to go then go earlier than later and parking is in the back of the store and not clearly marked.

A casual experience with unique Japanese inspired desserts. I am from out of state and decided to visit this place because of the immense amount of recommendations from TikTok. I am sad to say I was disappointed for a few reasons. 1. Workers did not greet a single customer that walked in. Customer service is extremely important in the food and beverage industry so I highly recommend the company work on training their employees to provide a better customer experience. 2. Although ordering on a kiosk is super cool, they only have one which can make you uncomfortable when someone walks in and is waiting for you to put in your order. Since this is the only way to order, I feel those who aren't tech savvy can get frustrated with this. This wasn't a problem for me, but I think it's important to also think about those who prefer to order with an employee directly. 3. A lot of desserts advertised were not available. Only things available midday were crepes. I'm not sure if this was due to selling out or menu change. 4. Not a lot of room to sit, and the one table available was dirty and gave the impression of poor maintenance and attention to the dining area. 5. The crepe cake was okay, nothing special and was not worth it. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

My friends and I were excited to check out Doki Doki after seeing all the hype. I have no idea how I have missed this place for years. While I now live in Utah County, I lived in Downtown Salt Lake for about a year and a half. My friends and I were out having dinner and finally made it around to checking Doki Doki out as well. It was a bit of a cluster when you first walk in. There was kiosks that you used to order and people were tapping through the entire menu 6 times before picking things out. We were standing there for about 20 minutes before we figured out we could just go to a table and place our order that way. The one downside to this is that the website is not up-to-date and there were certain things that we wanted that we could only order on the kiosk. The kiosk is also a bit chaotic because kids were treating it like a toy but this is no fault of the business. The desserts here at Doki Doki are not the desserts I am used to. They have a cake made out of crepes, which has a very interesting texture to it and can very on flavor, depending on which flavor you pick. The strawberry one is overwhelming with strawberry. I usually like strawberry but you gotta make sure you are obsessed with strawberry if you are going to get this one. The ube ice cream was actually really good. The bunny had a super weird texture to it and I was not the biggest fan. The passionfruit desserts were really good until my friend told me passionfruit tastes like feet. Now I can't get it out of my head. The green one (I forgot what flavor it was) was probably a unanimous favorite. It kind of tasted like cereal--it was delicious. We wanted to order the pancakes as well but it seems like that is an exclusive menu item and not available for anyone to order on the menu. While we appreciated the ease of being able to order through the website, we waited for over 30 minutes for one of our orders and it never came. It is a pretty small building so it can get crowded really quick, however, it wasn't too bad during our visit. We sat near the back, and it looked like the area hadn't been cleaned in a really long time. It seems like it is in an old building, so I get that...but it's still a food establishment. I'd love to go back to Doki Doki but there are so many dessert places in the area and I am just not sure how much this was my style. I still think it is a great asset to the downtown scene and it is a unique dessert shop that you're not going to be able to find everywhere.

(It's been a few months since I went but) the service was slow (long wait for your food after you ordered and long wait for staff to clean tables after other guests left) and I was not that impressed with the food itself. I would say the dishes here are 4 stars, because while the food is 5 out of 5 stars for beauty and overall are very "Instagram-able" the dishes were only 3 out of 5 stars because they are not delicious, just "good".
