Authentic Swiss restaurant that respects the ingredients by not over spicing or complicating the dish. Delicious through and through. Staff was friendly as well and the atmosphere felt welcoming, definitely a recommend!

Great place with a cool, simple neighbourhood feel - food was overall excellent, as always, with friendly service. This place remains one of our favourites in Zurich.

I had a meatloaf. It was fantastic. The spinach was cooked perfectly. It also had a couple of French toasts on the side, the tastiest most perfect toasts ever. Really excellent meal! We were sitting outside, it was very, very nice. There is a canopy roof, so no fear of rain. The waitress was super nice. Pro tip if you know no German: the ladies room is the one on the right.

This Restaurant is amazingly good value for money and the food is all totally fresh and organic. cooked to perfection with such a wide variety to choose from no matter what your palate dictates. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy and staff are so professional and attentive to your every need. We even got some delicious chocolates to accompany our after dinner coffee. Most decidedly a must visit for my next return to Zurich.

Loved this little bar - but it was the food that was fantastic! I ordered the schnitzel and it was perfect!The meat was cooked perfectly and flavoured well with red wine jus. The rest of my dish (forgot what it was called) was also delicious. The men running the place were very hospitable and patient and sat down with us to explain what the menu was and service was great! Would high recommend.

Delicious food, friendly staff and an atmosphere like in a typical Swiss home. The menue is small but well selected. Don't forget to try their selection of wine. The staff is well informed about the origin of everything they serve. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dinner in Zurich.

Worst experience in years. Average food, but had to wait almost 2hrs to get it. Very little choice of foods, cold and loud.

The deer was excellent along with the wine garden. Go if you're looking for a chill spot in Zurich this is it.

I was impressed by the fresh ingredients cooked with love and the amazing local wine. (I tried the Pinot Gris from Zürich). The staff was friendly and helpful and as I was eating solo I really appreciated that. The location and the atmosphere of the space have something unique. So I am planning to go there again next week with my boyfriend since it is really idyllic for couples.

3 stars for being close by, the food and prices make it more of a 2. I noticed this place the first time I was in the Sihlcity area and the outdoor "garden patio" is appealing in an otherwise treeless patch around Giesshubel station. There were two older men (the owners maybe?) and they both spoke English but one better than the other so the first one called the other one over to explain the menu to me which was very much appreciated. I happened to be dining with two people who knew German though! But appreciated the extra help and it's like very humble home cooking but at zurich prices. For example the green beans that my meat came with were boiled for way too long and were completely tasteless and textureless, limp and sad by the time they got in front of me. There were plenty of diners but the inside is pretty big and well lit so it felt empty. I would skip this place unless you're really close by and in need of food during a time everything else is closed!
