"Tjing Tjing Bar Craft beers, great wine list, and cocktails with a cotton candy or jelly bean flavor... Lounge around or head outside to enjoy the rooftop terrace. Tapas are also available for the peckish. Great for pre-dinner drinks or after the sun goes down. By Maree Hugo"

"What used to be Dear Me (a pared-down café) has been transformed into Tjing Tjing Torii, a visual odyssey of Harajuku proportions in Cape Town Central. As you make your way up the stairs, you'll find yourself in the first-floor middle space, dubbed Tjing Tjing Momiji, a minimalist kaiseki restaurant with a bustling lounge. Ascend two more flights of stairs, and you'll find yourself out in the open air at the scarlet-red Tjing Tjing Rooftop bar." - Seth Shezi

Had an intimate date night at Tjing Tjing House. The ambience set the scene, service was impeccable, the food arrived quickly and was incredible. Best edamame and mochi in Cape Town! There were lots of vegan and vegetarian options on offer. I would recommend ordering a minimum of 4 - 6 dishes to share between 2 people. I can't wait to be back and sample more delicious treats! Thank you for a wonderful evening 😊

Honestly impeccable service and seriously delicious food! We went to Tjing Tjing House on First Thursday and were pleasantly surprised to find a drink special - 2 drinks for R180, which was such a great deal. The portions might look small, but don’t be fooled, they’re super filling and packed with flavour. The atmosphere is vibrant yet intimate, and the staff are warm, attentive! Whether you’re there for dinner or just a few cocktails on the rooftop, it’s a top-tier experience. Definitely a must-visit spot in Cape Town, especially on a first Thursday night!

Myself and three friends went to Tjing Tjing for cocktails and dinner. I had been to the restaurant a couple of years back - good, but not blown away. HOWEVER, our experience last week was absolutely fantastic! Every cocktail was phenomenal! The food, outstanding! We shared a variety of plates - buns, dumpling, wings, pickles, wedges, and more. Thank you Tjing Tjing! We will definitely be back soon.

Exceptional experience! Amazing and tasty food. The venue is multi-floor and caters to any event. We had a tour after thanking the chef personally and really enjoyed it. If you have not been there, you have to go! We had a three course meal but forgot to take photos of the other dishes (it was soooo good)

We swinged by Tjing Tjing House for a quick lunch before first Thursdays. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was incredibly( I had chicken dumplings) and the cocktails were just as good. All-in-all I’d really recommend visiting here but do make a reservation as seating can be quite limited. I can’t wait to come back dor the roof-top area!

Charging fine dining prices. Food was nice. Cocktails not great. Sticky menus, cockroaches under the cushions. Dirty plates left on tiny tables so there was no place to put anything. As a family, we were made to feel quite unwelcome. I think they are looking for a particular young, hip crowd, which we obviously judged not to be part of. The middle section where we booked is incredibly uncomfortable. Sunken uncomfortable tables or cheap sofas. You will do better on the bottom level. We were looking forward to this as a special experience after a very hard week as a family. It just felt like a rip off.

Really great experience for a night out. The food is really worth it and what an experience! There are three levels, with a whole different atmosphere. From the diner level to more formal setting and even sunken takes into the floor! If you are in the area and look at ng for an experience, defenitely drop in here.
