A Pocket Guide to Bruton, Somerset
Durslade Farm Shop

A fantastic farm shop in the heart of Somerset. This is food done the proper way: local, honest, and well made. The range is outstanding, cheeses full of character, artisan biscuits, beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables, and irresistible chocolates. Everything looks tempting. You walk in just to browse and leave with bags full. It’s impossible to stop buying, and you wouldn’t want to.

Lovely layout and a good range of food. Fairly pricy, but of high quality.

This shop is beautifully presented. What a joy to walk in and experience. I went there because I was picking up a "Too Good to Go Bag", filled with items that needed to be sold that day at a reduced price in order to save it from being wasted. The quality of items in the bag was sublime and they even made sure every member of the family was happy by checking for allergies and dietary requirements. The service was impeccable. Friendly, welcoming and caring. This is more than a shop it is an experience. There is a strong ethos of sustainability running throughout. There are books on sale about sustainability. Many of the products on display are made by and branded by the farm itself. This is the best, most poshest, most beautiful farm shop I have ever visited. I also splashed out on a tin of olives for £12.50, the tin was huge and the olives are sensational!

Beautiful general store/deli selling locally sourced produce and delicious homemade baked goods, especially the scones. There’s butcher counter and deli counter serving cold and hot sandwiches and soup. A perfect stop for snacks before or after the gallery!

A MUST if visiting Bruton! A lovely 10 minute walk from Bruton centre - we love the toasties which are absolutely delicious. It is quite expensive though. Endless yummy treats on display to choose from too - coffee in the farm shop (takeaway) is not as good though. We do love the place though!
