A little tapas bar in between the larger venues and clubs. Stays open late. Too late for a regular dinner and so we happened to wander in. We discovered high quality fresh and delicious tapas. The staff was excellent on advice on the dishes but lacked a bit of knowledge on wine, which were all quite average. Although pricy, the tapas are really authentic. Perhaps just a small effort is needed to offer a selection of finer wines 👍🏻

Nice and welcoming service. I ordered the octopus and the wagyu beef steak (medium rare). The octopus was tender and flavorful, but the steak was a bit too chewy in places, with a few pieces slightly dry. The red wine I chose was generally pleasant. The total came to $77.81.

What a present experience. Great food, great service. Love the vibe, hidden european style bar in the center of finance. Long missed the spainish and portuguese food and wine. 100% recommend

I think after trying Jam for cocktail drinks. Book a place here for tapas. Darn good! I tried to anchovies, croquets and chorizo! I matched it with a Peroni on tap and a sangria! One word!!!!!!! Awesome!

Stumbled across this gem while we waited for a table at Totti’s and what a beautiful experience we had. We sat at the bar the staff were wonderful and you could watch the chef prepare the food. Food was amazing we had the jamon and cheese croquettes, prawns, scallops, lamb chops. Everything was amazing we LOVED it so much we went back again for lunch. Different chef food was impeccable again we had the steak which was incredible same lovely waitress. Can’t wait to go back

Food is great, especially the wagyu steak and the cheese cake. Steak is cooked to perfection, and cheese cake is the best thing to round up the meal

Best tapas I have had in Sydney. Casual restaurant but food is awesome. Such a good option in the city. There’s no bookings so give yourself time for a table to open up

Slip in through the darkened doorway in Palings Lane, and you're in a little slice of tapa bar in southern Spain. settle at the timber bar surrounded by couples and talkative types enjoying la buena atmosfera inside. We picked a bowl of tart, fleshy olives before settling on a bottle of Artomana 'Xarmant Txakoli' from Basque country, a fresh and full flavoured white. Small fried artichokes with a wonderful saffron colour aioli, followed by pan catalan (bread crisped and covered with a rich tomato sfrito). The boquerones (sardines in a slight vinegar) are little gifts bursting with salty fish flavour, and a dish of fried mushrooms with an eggyolk centred is a mushy delight. You could nestle here, but best to keep your tapa fresh and lively. great service, too. we were also fascinated by the barbecue grill, a small charcoal fired hibachi, which fired up the fresh prawns and some meat dishes. when sliding down Palings lane try not to miss the entrance, it's a lovely reminder of the small bars in Barcelona. this one is worth three visits.
