We joined a group tour, and we were seated close to the stage where the Pope sits during the public blessings held on Wednesdays. We lined up on the left side of the street facing the square. Had 2 to go through 2 separate security checks. Recommended to fall in line early and find a seat near the aisle where the Pope mobile passes by. Wonderful experience to get a glimpse of the Pope and pray as one big Christian community.

One of the most visited places on earth. And perhaps the place of religious worship where the greatest number of believers come every year. There is a big every day and a very large crowd on special occasions. It is the place where Catholics assemble to get the papal blessing on specific days. From the square one can easily see the curtained window where a newly-elected pope makes his first appearance.

St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture is stunning, from the massive colonnades to the beautiful fountains and statues that surround the square. Standing in the center, you truly feel the grandeur and history of this iconic place. The atmosphere is incredible, with pilgrims, tourists, and locals all coming together in this historic space. Visiting the Vatican gives you a deep appreciation for art, culture, and faith, and the square is the perfect introduction before entering St. Peter’s Basilica. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply want to soak in one of the most famous landmarks in the world, St. Peter’s Square is an unforgettable experience.”

The most famous square of the planet Earth! It’s a beautiful place, and certainly you can feel a calming sensation when you’re here. Vatican City is gorgeous, and this Square is responsible in a big way! It is big, nice and stunning. At the very center you can see the Saint Peter’s Cathedral. It’s full of people during summer, so take your precautions. Near you have restaurant to eat and some stores to buy souvenirs. It’s a must to visit if you’re visiting Rome! Totally recommended.

This is a magical, holy, life changing experience! You feel God EVERYWHERE! If you dont, you may need to do more praying and get to confession :) A lot of history and the impact of the Catholic faith around the world is greatly exhibited in this treasured site.

Beautiful. Best to arrive early in the morning/late afternoon for fewer crowds and softer light for photos. On Sundays around noon, the Pope appears at the window of the Apostolic Palace — arrive before 12 to get a good spot!

Beautiful square within the Vatican. Security was quick. A couple of shops around the outside where you can buy water and gifts. You can also nip to the pop up post office and send yourself a postcard with a Vatican stamp which was cool

NO TICKETS NECESSARY. Amazing, must see place and church in Rome. Don’t leave without having seen that Square and church. Please don’t fall for the fake sellers of tickets, you don’t need anything to enter. All churches in Rome are for free, just as the pope wants it to be.
